Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation Review

Sometimes this foundation works for my skin, others it doesn't. I don't like the inconsistency and not sure why it happens as my skin tends to be the same. I have the lightest shade which is Cool Bone but it is still slightly different to my skin tone as it seems to have a pinky undertone to it which my skin doesn't have. When this product does work on my skin it looks great, feels great and lasts till I get home, however sometimes it let's me down and makes my face look cakey and highlights any spots I may have.

I thought after many years of wearing revlon foundation I needed a change, My friend recommended me Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation. I WILL NEVER LOOK BACK. This foundation lasts all day!, Doesn't smudge, Doesn't wear off and blends like a dream. So happy with this foundation that I will probably buy again and again!

Until I discoverd mineral makeup, this was my 'go to' foundation. I still use it underneath my mineral if I feel like I need extra coverage from time to time. I love how it lasts on my skin, is easy to apply, goes on well, covers well and keeps my skin shine free all day.

This has to be the best foundation ever! I have dry/normal skin. During winter I can get patches of dry skin. This foundation does not "sit" on those areas but makes them dissappear. The coverage is great and leaves a glowing finish. Can be built up for an absolute flawless finish. I have a wee daughter who loves to nuzzle, this foundation hardly ever rubs off onto her clothing even when she's wearing white. Super bonus! You don't need much at all to get a good coverage.

I have really oily skin and have tried what seems like hundreds of foundations, this one by far was the most amazing i have ever tried for coverage, long wearing and anti shine. I bought it specifically for a concert because i was meeting the band afterwards, sure enough it looked mint even after hours of being in a sweaty mosh pit haha. WIN i would recommend this to everyone. Its a little more expensive than other foundations but it is So worth what you pay . I use it every day and the bottle lasts me about 4 months.

This foundation is great if you have oily skin! It stays all day like it says and still looks nice at the end of the day. It is pricey but a little really does go a long way and the bottle lasts for ages. The only problem I found with this foundation is that after you have it for awhile it gets hard to blend and doesn't go on as smoothly, almost as if it goes "off". Might just be that it is getting old? As above though, great foundation for oily skin

For many years I struggled to find a foundation with good coverage, that stayed put all day and didn't leave me shiny and oily after a few hours. I have normal/oily skin and bad acne scarring. When I found Estée Lauder double wear I actually cried and have now been using it daily for 10 years.

This used to be the best foundation ever in my teens! But I re-purchased last year and I found that the Formula was different. It is now really thick and I found that it didn't apply very well with my skin. I tried applying with a beauty blender and flat top kabuki, neither seemed to make a difference. I found that the new one makes all the hair on my face stick out and also it makes my eyes rather puffy. It is almost like it is too thick to be anywhere near my eyes. This is my opinion though. I do know that it works for a lot of people.

Lightweight and thin to medium consistency, this foundation is perfect for everyday wear and it stays onto my face all day. I find it very challenging to find the right shade for my skin tone but the trick is to try to opt for the shade closest to your skin tone. For me, I've chosen the lighter shade and I used my bronzer to sculpt my cheekbones for better definition.

I've never been a huge fan of foundation, I just find it too thick and obvious. But Estée Lauder is fantastic, and feels really nice. If it has one downfall I'd say it's far too expensive. But I suppose you get what you pay for.
