I had heard of Estée Lauder double wear foundation a few times and heard it was really good! I had wanted it for a long time but was afraid of change. I have now been using this for the past month and I wish I had brought is sooner! This is the most amazing foundation! It has medium coverage which is very build able! It lasts all day and my skin is still looking flawless even after working everyday! It blends well and doesn't make my skin look painted. I use it with the Estée Lauder matte effect primer too so it doesn't stick to my dry patches. I am in love!

Tips: Make sure you get your colour matched by a professional wherever you plan to purchase if you can! I got mine from farmers and they were great!
Double wear does some things amazingly. It's got a great colour selection, the longevity is amazing, coverage is buildable but pretty full from one coat and its easy to apply. However! If you have dry skin, this will make it soooo much worse. I have dry skin and first tried applying it with a brush. I found that it clung to all my dry patches and coloured them pretty orange. It also makes my peach fuzz stand out from a mile away! Applying it with a wet beauty blender made it a bit better but its still not something i would reccomend if you have dry or combo/dry skin.
I'm currently using this product after I was offered a sample. The main advantages for me are the shade matches my skin pretty perfectly without making me look washed out ( I have very pale skin) and being a liquid foundation, it doesn't sit in my wrinkles but still gives good coverage and stays on very well. The downsides? It's expensive and does give me breakouts with prolonged use
Tips: I use a translucent powder which gives a pretty flawless result
I love this foundation! Lasts all day, covers up my acne and doesn't look caked on! Only issue i have is with my acne flaring up to begin with but I changed my skin routine and this is back to normal! Great coverage and lasts all day!
Tips: Use a beauty blender to get flawless finish along with the doublewear concealer!
This foundation really is so good. It is super full coverage (providing you put on a couple of coats) and lasts all day. It doesn't smudge onto the collar of the top that I'm wearing which is a huge plus!
Shade wise, I would totally recommend getting colour matched at your nearest counter, in my experience the ladies have always been super helpful! There's no point in spending all the money if the shade isn't going to look right on you!
I don't like the pouring tip, I'm afraid that I'l waste some, so I pour it into my sample pot and go from there.
10/10 would totally recommend!
Tips: A little goes a long way - start off with less and build up more coverage if you need it.
This is the first foundation that I've tried that has matched my skin tone the most. I currently own Revlon Colorstay however the colour is a bit too red toned for me (Caramel shade) however Estee Lauder Double wear have shades that can well adapt to my skin tone (unlike Colorstay which in fact oxidises and looks a different shade to what I applied). Apart from the shade itself, the foundation is extremely good. Doesn't look cakey and a little goes a LONG way. The foundation has quite a matte finish which I thought would effect my dry skin but really doesn't. It's quite lightweight but provides good amount of coverage and covers up my pimple scars and discolouration on my face. Easy to blend... IN LOVE!
Tips: - Remember a little goes a long way so put on a layer and see how it works for you then keep on going until you're satisfied with the coverage.
This is actually the best foundation. It covers like it says it will & then it stays in place, even when you get wet.
Tips: I use a buffer brush to apply mine for best coverage/ blending & top it off with some bronzer to make sure I don't look too 'flat' coloured
this foundation is the best I have ever had! it is very light weight and stays perfect for hours. I used it for work and daily life and my skin stayed great it didn't block my pores or cause my skin to go oily. Fabulous Foundation and I have tried nearly every brand and this is by far the best of them all
This is currently my 'go to' foundation & I just love it. I have to admit that I have never been too keen on the price tags of these type of luxury brand cosmetics but after grabbing a sample size & being so impressed I bit the bullet and got a full sized. Im the shade Ecur and it is a near perfect match for my skin tone. Far better than any previous foundation I have used. The finish is matte but not drying. I find that it blends super easy (I apply with a flat top kabuki brush) but you do have to work quite quickly as it can dry a little faster than some liquids. However what I love best about this product is that it really does stay on all day. Im a serial face rubber during the day but this really wont rub off. The only thing I do find is it can get slightly greasy looking on my forehead later in the day (most likely due to that being the place I rub the most when stressed at work. Also I think it could be a tad more helpful if it was in a pump top bottle instead of just a screw top, but again the frosted glass bottle & gold coloured cap still makes it appear elegant. All in all I would happily pay for this time & again because for once I have really found something worth the price.
Tips: Less is more, start with a light application & you can always add more. You really wont need much :)
I have tried two different formulas of the estee lauder double wear - the first has the spf 10 in it, the other does not - the one with the spf in it is the original formula and it has the BEST staying power! it is definitely standing up to its name of staying in place! Takes at least a double cleanse if not more to remove it afterwards. Whereas i have found with the version that does not have the spf in it, it doesn't quite have the same durability - still lasts a long time just not as long and it is easier to remove with cleanser at the end of the day. I think that the new formula - without the spf hasn't yet reached NZ and they are only selling it overseas currently so be aware when buying online whether you are buying the old or new formula.
Tips: I love to use the original beauty blender to apply my EL double wear foundation. have a good cleaner to remove this foundation as it has the ability to clog pores and produce acne if it isnt removed properly - double or even triple cleanse to ensure all the foundation has been removed at night before going to bed :)
