I liked this product, it seems to do the job well. Need to go over my face a couple times to make sure I've got all my make up off but it's nice and gentle so not drying me out

Tips: Cotton pads and go softly
I was lucky enough to trial this product and am impressed that I have found a Micellar water that is great for my skin as some of the others have left me with allergies. It did take a couple of cotton swabs to remove my make-up but to me that is to be expected! I love the fact that it didn't irritate my eyes while i wear my contact lenses too as some products I've used in the past have caused issues when cleaning off my make up at the end of the day.
I think I will definitely be purchasing more as I really like the fact my skin didn't react and it was easy to use and cleans off make up well.
Has an ok scent which didn't annoy me.
Tips: Definitely great for someone with Sensitive skin! and Definitely worth packing in my luggage for travel too :)
This new and improved Garnier Micellar water with oil, is a new take on previous versions of the product, it comes in a recyclable friendly container, clip lid with a easy to use squeeze nozzle, allowing for efficient spread of product onto your cleaning pad, after several pads my eye make up was removed (I use Bobbi brown for eyes) so the eye make up can be tough to move, but this product removed it quickly, the only thing that did stand out was the residue, I washed my face with cool water and then warm in order to get the product off, whilst this isn’t a bad thing it just means longer time sorting out yourself after makeup removal. I use contacts as well as glasses, and I found it didn’t irritate my eyes, which can be common among contact lens wearers. So that is a bonus.
Tips: Wash your face after use, and ensure it’s well removed from your eyes.
The original garnier micellar water is my all time favourite so I was really excited to try this one as my only complaint about the original was sometimes it didn’t get waterproof eye mascara off & it made my eyelids sting!
Because of all this, this is my new favourite it’s honestly amazing! Make up glides off without rubbing & there’s no stinging at all & waterproof comes off too!
Very impressed!
Tips: No it’s easy as getting a cotton pad, pouring it on & wiping away any make up!
I have fairly sensitive dry skin and usually stay away from using these oil make up removers as I normally find them too harsh on my skin. The packaging is no different to the other Garnier removers, a plastic see thru bottle. The design is rather uninspiring apart from the purply/blue oil layer. It does say on the back that the bottle is 100% recycable and the flip top lid feels secure and hasn't leaked so that's a big thumbs up from me.
The bottle is quite big being 400mls. Which is probably an ideal size for a make up artist or someone who wears make up everyday but because I don't I would normally buy smaller more portable or travel friendly bottles. According to the packaging there are roughly 200 uses which does make it an affordable cleanser.
Due to oil sitting at the top and the micellar water being underneath it does needs a really good shake to combine the layers to get the benefits of both. To use I simply shake and pour over a plain cotton wipe. I then gently dub over my eyes and swipe over my face for a few seconds. I didn't feel the need to scrub as I found it removed the make up easily . Although not necessary I do prefer to rinse my face off after use as it can feel a bit oily.
The main difference with this make up remover compared to other similar products is it appears to be less drying on my skin after use. It does have added fragrance and while the scent is not unpleasant and hasn't increased my skin sensitivity, it does seem unnecessary.
The good things about this remover are: cheap; non drying; didn't irritate my skin and removed all traces of make up including waterproof mascara.
The not so good: currently only available in 400mls; the added fragrance and lastly it did leave an oily residue.
Yes I recommend this product.
Tips: Store away from sunlight.
The original Garnier micellar with oil was my absolute favourite until I tried this sensitive version. It is a pretty blue colour and has a pleasant floral like fragrance. But the best thing about it , is that it doesn't sting my eyes or skin around my eyes. Recently my eyes and around my eyes has become sensitive due to using a retinol product and accidentally getting it around my eyes. My usual eye makeup remover was starting to sting but the Garnier micellar for delicate skin doesn't sting one bit. I did find I had to rub a bit to remove my waterproof mascara but it did remove it well and without leaving a greasy residue. It also removes my long wear foundation and leaves my skin clean but not tight and dry. I do like this product and will definitely be re purchasing it.
I received the invite to review Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water in Oil on a morning I got up with panda eyes (again) & thought “Let’s hope this one works….” I wear Benefit They’re Real mascara & it is notoriously difficult to remove. I love the mascara but have tried a few eye make removers including the Benefit one without success. I also wear contact lenses so am a little careful with what eye make removers I try. So how did this one fare? It states it is for delicate eyes & skin & will remove waterproof makeup, whilst cleansing & soothing. It is a biphase formula so you have to shake the oil into the water-based liquid prior to use. This was easy to do & mixed evenly. You then use a cotton pad to apply to the face – eyes, face & lips without rubbing. Obviously you do need to wipe to get make-up off but this was achieved by a couple of gentle swipes rather than rubbing. I repeated the process around my eyes & voila my eye make-up was gone! It also removed my foundation & lipstick with no problems whatsoever. Onto the product: I must say it is a large bottle which surprised me a little for a makeup remover but I guess if you are using it for the whole face rather than just eyes that’s fine. It will last for 200 uses which makes it very cost effective. Side note – I would transfer some to a smaller bottle if I was travelling…. The fragrance is subtle & pleasant. It says it is non-greasy & this really is true. This was a pleasant discovery as I was a bit worried when the ingredients mentioned oil. It leaves the skin feeling nice & also soothed. The blurb states that you do not need to wash the face afterwards & I feel this would be true. However I always wash my face with a facial wash in the shower & after using the product my skin felt great. The only downside is that the ingredient list says it contains benzyl alcohol which may put some people off although it doesn’t state how much. This is used usually used as a preservative, solvent & viscosity-decreasing agent in skin care. It did not dry my skin out at all. So to the verdict: I woke up without panda eyes. Bottom line – I love this product & will happily continue to use it & recommend to my friends. It does what it says on the bottle!!!
Tips: Definitely worth trying if you are sick of scrubbing your mascara off!
I was skeptical about another Micellar water as i have had such varied reactions and experiences with Micellar water before. I wear glasses and contact lenses so finding something that doesnt react with the eyes and lenses is really hard. Past products i have tried and have really stung the eyes and some even had such intense perfume that the eyes ended up watering and was unable to wear contact lenses for a good amount of time.
This product first of all looks visually awesome! even my four year old son comes in and wants to SHAKE the bottle to watch the blue disappear and then float back up to the top! Which then followed with a very brief science lesson on oil and water!
I have found that you dont need much product to do the job with this Micellar Water, the non oil version from Ganier required a lot of product to be put on the cotton pad and a bit of tugging on the eyelids and face. I was happy to report that with a small amount of product on the cotton pad it removed my Benefit mascara and all other traces of my make up on my face. It left a slightly oily feel on my face, but not the Stripped feeling that you get with most micellar waters. I was then also able to add minimal moisturisers or after products and my face did not feel horrible if i didnt do this e.g the next morning.
I have not reported any irritation to my eyes or my contact lenses so far so it is a huge tick for me and I am definitely re purchasing this.
Tips: Squeeze the bottle slowly! otherwise youll get a water explosion lol. This is also great for getting makeup off surfaces!
I love Micellar waters. I’m still a fan of the good old face cloth and water for my skin, but sometimes you need a bit of extra help removing make up, especially eye make up. I still like to keep things simple and easy and fresh feeling and that is why Micellar water is for me. I had tried a few brands of the basic Micellar waters available, including Garnier, which was a favourite, but I never really felt the need to try new versions of it as they came out, if it’s not broke, don’t fix it! But given the opportunity to try it, I did. And I loved it. The formal is so soft and gentle, the oil in water formulation is so moisturise for my skin, yet doesn’t appear to leave any residue after cleansing. I can remove my make up with ease and munch skin is soft and mattified after use, so it’s perfect for pre-make-up cleansing. I’ve recently had some trouble with acne on my jawline, and I’ve had to switch up my cleansers and skin care routine to try and combat this. Although I believe it is probably hormonal, I tried skin care aimed at acne, which only made I think worse! I realised actually what I needed was more gentle, and moisturising, skin care, so this Garnier Water in Oil Micellar delicate eyes and skin cleanser has been perfect and helped to heal and soothe the spots. I also suffer from dry skin, dermatitis and eczema and this product is fine and causes no irritation or reactions for me. I usually use it with a cotton make up remover pad but these have been out of stock lately so I’ve used it on a tissue and the formula is gentle enough that it doesn’t break up the tissue! End result is velvety soft, clean skin! My 12 year old daughter loves it too!
Try it, you’ll love it!
Tips: I love to get a soft facecloth and run it under hot water and “steam” it over my face every night before cleansing. Then use a cotton or fabric make up remover pad, shake the bottle well to mix and apply to pad, then use to wipe away make up and dirt from face.
When this first arrived I was unsure about using a Micellar water with oil, the bottle was great and after a quick shake it mixed together like a dream.
As a contact lens wearer trying to remove makeup can be a nightmare but this removed eye make up like a dream just a small amount on a cleansing pad and my mascara and eye make up came off with no rubbing so no irritation at all.
Cleansed the rest of my face with no rubbing as well and the make up of the day was just a distant memory with no remaining signs!
My skin afterwards felt clean and plump not dry and fragile like usual after cleansing and I was able to cleanse without removing my contact lens a real dream!
Tips: A little goes a long way
