All Garnier products are officially approved by Cruelty Free International.

Since 1989, Garnier has been committed to a world without animal testing.

GARNIER'S new BB Cream,  combats shiny, oily skin, by combining the power of ultra-absorbent mineral pigments for an immediate matte look and perfect, even-toned skin.

The oil-free BB cream works in five ways. It reduces imperfections, moisturises, gives skin a healthy glow, delivers a beautiful matte finish to skin and provides all-important sun protection with SPF 15.

GARNIER'S Oil-free BB Cream provides instant results while also improving the skin’s quality over time. After four weeks the results are clearly visible; skin is less oily, pores reduced in size, imperfections are visibly reduced and skin radiance is improved.

It has a  new active ingredient,  Mineral perlite - a powerful volcanic rock extract known for its ultra-absorbing properties.

Mineral perlite is able to retain up to two-and-a-half times its weight in oil and water and is five times more absorbing than talc, meaning any excess sebum is absorbed to fight that oily shine. This combined with uncoated mineral pigments gives the skin an even tone and a perfectly matte finish

GARNIER Miracle Skin Perfector-Oil-free BB cream is available in two shades - light and medium.

Garnier BB

I actually typed up and posted this review on Saturday, but it doesn't seem to have gone through, so I will try again, hopefully I can remember it all!

I was very keen to try this BB cream as I absolutely loath the original one, so when BR offered it up, I jumped at the chance.

The first thing I noticed about this BB cream is its consistency, it is very, very runny (similar to my Bourjois CC cream). You need to be careful when using it as it will leak all over your counter top. It has a pleasant fragrance, hard to describe it really, but not overpowering.

It promises to give a full matte coverage, but I would say it is a medium matte coverage. Still pretty good for a BB cream. I used x1 pea sized amount for medium coverage, and built it up to full coverage with x1 pea sized amounts if required. The consistency meant it was really easy to apply and it blended out nicely with no patches. I just apply it with my hands like I would my moisturiser.

It also claims to hide imperfections, which it did to to a certain extent, but I still needed a concealer for any stubborn spots, and for under my eyes. As far as its claim to "reduce pores" I think that is near on impossible, your pores are your pores you can't do much to change them, but the product does gloss over them temporarily while you're wearing it.

I did find that after using this for a week that I actually broke out, so will stop using it for a while and see if my face clears up. I also found that it stung my eyes right after I applied it, which is unusual for me, beauty products don't usually affect my eyes at all. It is a shame I've broken out as I wouid like to test it for the full 4 weeks to see if it lives up to its other claims of less oily skin and more radiance.

The product has pretty good staying power, which was increased by the use of a primer. It kept up its matte finish for most of the day, which is impressive as my face is usually a bit of an oil slick by 5pm!

All in all, this products is a pretty good BB cream, and for me it is miles ahead of the original Garnier BB cream. I would recommend it to my friends who might be looking for a cheap alternative to some high end brands, but I think there are also better products on the market in the same price bracket.

Tips: Lay a tissue over your counter top when you're applying the cream, as it has a tendency to leak while the lid is off.

Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream Oil-free

I have previously tried a BB cream by Maybelline, but I didn't like it at all and so that put me off BB cream altogether. When I heard about this Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream and how it had different types in the range for different skin types, I decided to reconsider, and luckily enough, I was selected as part of the trial team for the Oil-free SPF 15 type.

I have oily/combination skin, so my face can get rather oily in some areas whereas other areas can be quite dry. I have the most problems with my T-zone where it gets oily the most. During the day, I have to blot my T-zone to get rid of excess oil, otherwise those areas look super shiny (not a good look!). I usually powder on top of my foundation to try and matte out my oily areas, but it doesn't last very long during the day.

I like how this BB Cream does leave a soft matte finish, so it kind of eliminates the shiny oily look on my face. The consistency of the BB Cream is quite watery and light, which I like but also don't like at the same time - it's good that it's not thick because it means it won't weigh down on my face and block my pores, but that also means that it doesn't give complete coverage. On the other hand, I prefer to use this on days where I can't be bothered putting on foundation, so this BB Cream gives the right light coverage for a really natural look. Because it is quite runny, I have accidentally squeezed out more than I needed from the tube, which I didn't like because it ends up in product wastage. However, the product is easy to blend out when you apply it. The packaging is probably the most easiest for a product like that though, as a jar container would probably push up the cost as well as making it harder to keep something with a runny consistency in. I find that the product lasts a few hours before I still find my face going shiny and oily again. Removing the product is also easy as it is so light on the skin.

I didn't like how they only had two colour options for this BB Cream, as some people may not fall specifically into one of the two categories, so this made it hard for me to decide what colour to get at first. I chose the 'Light' colour and I think it was actually the right choice!

I would love to find out whether this BB Cream does help in reducing pore size, imperfections, and making my skin less oily, as the product also says that it improves the skin's quality over time after about 4 weeks. I am yet to still find out though as I've only been using it for about a week. From what I've used so far, I definitely prefer it over the Maybelline BB Cream!

Not quite as good as I hoped

Well I've got my BB Cream and the box looks promising, with the words 'instantly perfect skin' I was keen to try it.

The cream has no fragrance of note and I like the small nozzle which is good because the cream is quite thin and comes out quickly.

I smooth it onto my forehead and it feels and looks great, so far so good. I continue with it onto the rest of my face but it doesn't look as good because I have a few imperfections that it doesn't cover. It smooths on nicely, possibly a wee bit dark for me and has a matte finish which is great. It does a few things that it claims - yes it does reduce the look of pores and evens out my skin tone.

If it stayed this good for the whole day it would be fantastic but unfortunately either my skin or the product is too greasy looking a few hours later. I notice by the afternoon that my skin feels greasy and the product just doesn't stay looking matte, I have a shiney face.

I probably would use it again if I can't find one better, but would have to reapply in the afternoon. I like that it's affordable and feels light on my skin. I don't like that it just doesn't provide the coverage that my skin needs and goes a bit too greasy after a while. Great product to use if your in a rush or only wanting a light coverage. Feels more like a tinted moisturiser to me.

Instantly Flawless slightly flawed.

I had high hopes for this as many people have raved about it to me. This is one of a few BB Creams I have tried so was really keen to see how it stacked up. Packaging: Box clearly stated it was for Oily to Combination Skin, that it was Light with SPF 15. However the white printing of the information on the back of the box was awful, with a few lines having no gaps between words. They are trying to cram too much information into a very small space. I got fed up reading the 'How Does it Work' as their bold words caused letters to blend into each other. I like that Garnier states their packaging is from responsible sources.

Product: No discernable fragrance, which I prefer for face products. This was not a cream however. On several occassions using this, if I held it at the wrong angle, the 'cream' would pour out like a liquid. I had to keep the tupe with the lid up. The colour was perfect for my skin as I am fair, so no issue with that. I wasn't that impressed with coverage compared to another BB Cream I have used. I had to apply 2 layers at least in order to get the 'flawless perfect skin' look, and even then I touched up some areas a third time. Once on, it did last all day under normal conditions. As this was for Oily-Combination Skin, I am pleased to note that it did not clog my pores up at all, nor was it drying. My skin felt comfortable, without any shine and had an improved appearance while wearing.

All-in-one: Listed are 6 key benefits as the all-in-one. Shine Control (yes) & Matte Finish (not really) Reduces Pores (appearance of, yes) Corrects Blemishes (appears too, yes) Hydrates (not entirely sold on this) UV protection SPF 15 (I didn't use any other SPF while wearing and found no difference to when I do)

Overall, it is a standard BB 'Cream' which, while doing a fine average job, could do better in a marketplace where other good BB Creams have more aspects to the product.

Tips: Pat your second & third layers on rather than applying like a liquid foundation. This enables the product to be built up for better coverage. Let your moisturiser dry properly before applying, otherwise this already thin cream will be thiner. Store with lid upwards. If you want a good even coverage, use as a base to your foundation. Use as a concealer on blemishes under foundation.

Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB cream Oil-free

The actual product was nice. It wasn't greasy or strong in fragrance, but sadly for me, the light colour was far too dark. It left dark orange lines around my chin despite countless attempts at blending. If my skin tone was darker I would consider wearing this.

Tips: Be sure of your skin tone. I am always fair in products but this was very dark on me. Otherwise it's a good cream that does everything it said it would.

Just another BB cream

To be honest, I found this BB cream quite average. The consistency of the cream is quite runny, which while easy to apply, meant that I had to be careful how I held it in one hand while applying with the other (a few drips on the carpet to clean up!). I did like the matte finish that it gave and also it had good longevity. I would apply in the morning and it was still looking even, matte, and glowing at the end of the day. I have a combination skin tone and I found the oil free cream to be suitable to my skin tone. Even with these positives, I still don't know if I would use it again because I prefer another brand of BB that I have been using for a while. The biggest point of difference for me is the runny consistency.

Tips: Make sure you hold the open end up so it doesn't drip everywhere!

Easy to work with

This was one of the first bb creams I tried. Yes it was matte at first and then when your oil comes through it looks glowy and not oily looking. However it did nothing for my skin I have dark spots on one cheek still looks the same.

Tips: Use a buffing brush in circular motion to make it look flawless as this bb cream can look cakey.

Garnier BB cream Meduim

My skin type is a combination with normal-oily skin and I have quite a pale face but I decided to get the Meduim coverage as I no some BB creams are quite light and to be honest this was the perfect shade for me. It glided on quite nicely and helped me have a blemish free face. My current BB cream I use is Misha and I always wear this product but I know have another favourite the Garnier Miracle BB cream. This product wasn't oily at all as i got the Oil-free BB cream as I have quite an oily T zone, it did however have not a great smell to it. It did exactely what it was meant to do! I blend the BB cream in with my flat top brush and works wonders then I apply my powder over top and seems to last me about 6 hours which is really good. I would love to buy this product again and use it over my face. I remove with Sukin cleanser and it takes the product right off :)

Tips: If you do want it to last a little longer as BB creams usually come off apply some powder over top and a setting spray and it will stay on.

miracle

Loved this little tube of wonder it made me feel flawless it blends well and also looks good with powder , its not to heavy like some bb creams are out there, iy was very light and i found that i can build it up or dress it down depending on how much i use, preferably i like to apply bb cream with my fingertips and foundation with a sponge or brush but i found that i got the desired look by blotting a sponge. Its a decent sized tube and a little goes a long way so it will last a while,I'm going to use this till the last drop!

Tips: Use it sparingly x

Average

When i first apply this i love the finish! but it is not longwearing at all - it melts off my face even after setting with a powder and oxidises quite orange. Its pretty good for the price, and not the worst BB i have used, but not the best either
