Tips: takes some practice to learn to curl but keep trying an you'll soon get there an be a pro. if needing more help look up some tutorials on youtube, they will show you how to do it :)
So I have an old GHD still in very good working condition and I love it for when I'm feeling keen on a straight day. I recently spend a few weeks at my mothers and thought no point bringing it with me she has a brand new one. It doesn't straighten and smoothly and quickly as the old one, I think they have change the coating? And rumor tells me its not the same people. I also am not keen on the fact that it only has on temperature setting as its just extremely hot or nothing and I have brunt hands and ears multiple times with it. I do like that you can curl and straighten with them though.
I'm absolutely in love with my GHD.I will never buy another brand again. It heats up super quick, glides through the hair like silk and takes alot less time as with previous straightners i've had to go over the same strand a few times and it left my hair frizzy/flyaway and meant i had to use products to smooth it down! I dont really need to use any products except hot iron spray or cream protectant and a tiny amount of serum afterwards. The GHD also curls my hair perfectly, now that ive mastered the technique ;-)
A must buy for those that use a straightener often, its definitely worth the money.
Love my ghds I have previously owned remington straighteners and there is no competition at all ghds have never failed me =)
I went from a cheap Remington to a ghd over 7 years ago and I've never looked back. It heats up fast. Love how it beeps to tell you! And the long swivel cord is great it doesn't get tangled. Straightens my hair well and fast and stays straight all through the day.
Tips: Expensive but totally worth it for how long it's lasted!! Use heat protector always
My GHD is the only straightener I use and im happy with the end result every time. Leaves my hair looking and feeling good.
Such a nice tool to use. I love the slimline feel of it, find it much easier to use than chunky straighteners. Also find that my hair somehow still keeps some volume rather than being dead straight.
Heats up so fast too
Always works wonders with me hair. I love this straighterner. It gets nice and hot and will leave your hair silky smooth
Tips: Also use for curling!
I don't actually own this myself, but my sister has this and omg. This is the BEST hair iron I have ever used. The heat settings on it really handy, I have really thin hair so cant use a very high heat setting, and it works wonderfully for wavy curls. Most of the time my curls fall out after a few hours but when I use this tool, they stay in at least 4 hours (with the help of a little hairspray). It is very comfortable to use, and a good size. The price is a little high, but you get what you pay for and in my opinion, it's worth it.
Tips: Definitely use a protective spray, and use a heat glove so you dont worry about burning your fingers.
My GHD"s are actually my travel straighteners as I've another set I prefer for day to day, but I can't fault the GHD's either.
They're a quick, effective way to add straightness and shine to my hair, and while they're pricey, they do last. The 'good hair day' claim really is accurate - a quick swipe with GHDs tames frizz and helps hair shine; a longer, more concentrated straightening session produces straight locks with gloss and a healthy appearance.
You can't really go wrong with GHD's on the whole and the Gold plated models are still a bit of a 2000's classic! I think every girl either had a set or wanted one!
Tips: Definitely invest in a good heat protectant spray, because these babies get HOT!
