I put my shampoo and conditioner review together. Please see my other review for more details. The condition of my hair has improved and is not needing to be washed as frequently. I would recommend brushing first as it does not remove tangles while combing through conditioner.

When first applying this it is nice and smoothing which I expect from a conditioner. The first time I used it I absolutely loved it and thought it might become my holy grail conditioner, as it left my hair so clean, soft, silky and just the best a conditioner had made my hair feel in a while, it also looked more smooth and shiny. But after a week of using it I'm not sure what happened but I think it just built up on hair and weighed it down. I still would recommend this though as it could work amazingly for someone else. Also it leaves your hair smelling great!
Unfortunately I didn't get the results I was hoping for from this conditioner. I used it after the same shampoo and it has not made a scrap of difference to my hair and hasn't fulfilled any of it's claims. I found the product was too runny for a conditioner, just didn't feel right. I did like the nice fragrance though. It washed out nicely but just felt the same as any other conditioner. I haven't noticed any changes to my hair since using it so I wouldn't recommend it and will be sticking with my usual product.
So I tried out the Total Repair 5 conditioner. it is wonderful and really does do what it says it does. I used it in conjunction with the total repair 5 shampoo which I have also reviewed. The conditioner is a little runnier than I am used to so be careful when you open it. the first time I used it it kinda flew out of the bottle. I also found that from time to time I had to condition the ends of my long hair twice in order to get the full benefit and have my hair feeling like it was conditioned. My hair reduced in frizziness which made it look healthier and silkier, it also appeared to be stronger and revitalized. It has a lovely scent and is white and creamy in consistency but again a bit runnier than what I usually expect from a conditioner. I found the packaging to be easy to open and it was a lovely neutral colour and the flat lid ment that it stood nicely in the shower. I liked the white and the crimson colour scheme.
Tips: Be careful it is a bit runny and make sure you use enough in the body and ends of your hair or like me you may need to condition twice. :)
Was so excited to trial this product, mainly because it is a fraction of the price compared to salon products you get after a color/highlight. I love the scent. It leaves my hair silky and soft. And most importantly, doesn't weigh my hair down. I just find it unusual that I finished the bottle of conditioner before the shampoo which often is the other way around. Conditioner too runny or shampoo too thick??? hmmm... Would definitely purchase and recommend.
The first thing that hit about this was the smell. It smells absolutely divine. I wash my hair at night and would sit in bed just smelling it, my fiancé looking at me like I'm crazy.
I found that the texture of this was rather milky, a bit liquidy, whereas I'm used to quite thick and creamy. It was a bit unusual for me, but it still went into my hair nicely. It went in a bit thin, but stayed in my hair and made it lovely.
At first, I didn't really notice much difference, but quickly realised that my hair was so much more manageable, less dry and knotty, and silky smooth. I was so impressed, especially when I realised how much healthier my hair was looking and feeling. When I ran out (thanks my brother using 1/4 of the bottle for no apparent reason!), I had use a backup conditioner I had, and my hair was much more dry and knotty and lacklustre. I went out as quickly as possible to buy another bottle! This has definitely become my new favourite conditioner and going to recommend it to everyone of my friends with damaged hair.
My hair on your average day is dry at the bottom, oily at the roots and if not straightened - frizz central, I have fine hair but lots of it, it is a little damaged on the ends due to highlighting over the years but overall in pretty good condition.
This conditioner is the bomb dot com. I loved it, I love the scent, the consistency which isn't too thin or too thick which allows you to distribute it through your hair more evenly - but most of all I loved the results.
A pet hate of mine is conditioners that leave your hair feeling weighed down and almost greasy after you have washed it out, I found this product to rinse out really well and it left my wet hair feeling lighter if that makes any sense. When I went to dry and straighten my hair it was definitely easier than normal, my GHDs just slide over my hair with ease and the results were beautifully shiny, healthy feeling hair.
Personally for the price I think it delivers on it's promises, nothing short of an expensive trip to the salon is going to repair very damaged hair in 4 weeks. What I did find with this product is that I had a lot less hair fall out when washing, brushing and styling my hair, I also think that as it was so easy to style afterwards that in itself helps to protect from damage.
I wasn't expecting miracles from a $9 bottle of conditioner and I did not get miracles but it is definitely more healthier than when I started so I am overall happy with the results.
Tips: Try to get as much excess water out of your hair prior to conditioning and leave on for a few minutes, ensure you rinse really well!
So again with this one I took awhile to trial this as I was in 2 minds about it. The dull fragrance was lovely, didnt give me a headache and made using this product more pleasant. It has a soft texture and feels so gentle on my hair unlike other products I used. For the 1st week of used my hair felt AMAZING! I had people commenting on it asking what I was using or what I had done to it. It was easy to apply and had directions if you werent sure how to get full affect of the repairing. But sadly my joy went away the 6th wash. Did everything I normally do and massaged my hair as usual to find as soon as I had taken running water off my hair, it knotted and went gross like horse hair. My hair had never been like this even with how much damage I have inflicted on it. So I gave it another wash the next day, and again the same thing happened. (Was used in conjunction with the shampoo). So I ended up buying a leave in detangling spray to get the knots out and make my hair feel better. I was pretty disappointed. Im not sure if it was because my hair is severely damaged or what was happening.
I was so excited to try this conditioner. I used it after a very, VERY good first impression of its counterpart, L'Oréal Paris Elvive Total Repair 5 Shampoo (gosh, what a mouthful!). The shampoo initially felt amazing, it detangled while I washed, and felt super silky, so I was expecting a real treat from the confitioner. I didn't haaate it in that it did anything actively bad to my hair (I didn't like what the shampoo did to my hair after a couple of uses, so tried this alone), but it was just extremely underwhelming. It was very thin, didn't feel rich or silky, and actually did a poorer job of detangling my hair than the shampoo! That was odd.. I gave a 2 for "Would you use it again?", as I will finish the bottle (whereas I will not use the shampoo again, at all), but this is not a conditioner I would choose to purchase, as if just didn't do anything for my hair, let alone do what it said it would. It's just a very average conditioner. I'm glad I was able to trial these two products, as I am often very curious when it comes to these wild claims from lower priced products, but after personal experience, I can safely say my salon products work better for my hair.
Tips: I think it's always good to try. I dye my hair black and heat treat it, so it may need a bit more nourishment than somebody else's hair. At less than $10, it isn't like you're breaking the bank.
I found my hair didn't detangle as well as I would like but it has a nice smell and my hair did feel silky. For the price there is nothing wrong with this conditioner, I do have hair that tangles easy so that is not a fair representation of the conditioner. My hair didn't look or feel dry so that was pleasing, it also didn't weight my fine hair down. I like to match my shampoo and conditioners so would recommend these products if you are looking for a well priced pair that smells nice and makes your hair look and feel shiny.
