OPI Nail Lacquer Review
Reviews
This is by far the best nail polish brand out there. I can't even get over the amount of colours and shades they have, and I love how each and every one of them have their own original name. They are so smooth, easy to apply, and dry so quickly too.
The are long lasting, and so easy to use. I have had some of mine for about 2 years, and they are still going strong.
A little pricey, but definitely well worth it!
Tips: They often have special deals in duty free in the airport when travelling internationally, like 3 for $40! Definitely a good time to stock up.
Love OPI, the bright colours come out as they should, with a top coat it stays on bright far longer than most other brands I've used do.
Tips: Works best with two coats and a top coat to keep it on for longer.
This best thing I liked about this brand as there is so many colours you will never get board. And you can be bold and wear colours you wouldnt normally wear but because all the colours are amazing, your nails will always look great. And when it comes to removing it, the nail poliah comes off nicely and clean with any nail polish remover.
This polish is wonderful it hardens.with a shine and lasts a long time it comes with a lot of colours neon, matte or base and top coats no.matter what they work great the polish will last about 2 weeks the base coats will protect your nails by stopping them from peeling dryinv and turning yellow too
Tips: Ley.it dry for 15 mins
I love Opi because of the massive selection the brand has to offer.
Normally I do two coats just to be safe and make the colour last longer but it also helps the nail polish to look much more effective and eye popping.
Unfortunately depending on what Opi you get they chip quite easily which is why it is best to do 2 or more coats. The drying process is quite long also so it does take patience.
Opi is prices are a bit more then your average pharmacy nail brand but you are paying for appearance and quality.
Tips: Use a base coat so the product doesn't stain your nails as the colours are very pigmented and always add a top coat for that extra shine !
Of course the price reflects the quality in this instance. I have a range of their nail lacquer ranging from sparkly to nude to brights and those horrible cracking polishes. Only reason I didn't like the crack is because I think the concept was tacky and your nails looked like they were chipping. The actual product did exactly what it was meant to do. For the rest I do love them they apply so well, they are a good consistency the bottle is a great shape and the brush i long enough to get right down to the bottom. They don't dry up fast inside the bottle. They don't last as I would like maybe 4 days but this is about the longest a polish will last on me apart from sally hansen xtreme wear (lasts a week). They do go on really nicly and arn't bumpy or anything but they do they long to dry. Max coats would be 2.
The sparkly lacquer though you need at least 4 to really build it up and then removing it is literally hours which is quite common for sparkly polish. The actual polish once dried does look amazing
Tips: use 2 coats wipe the brush slightly before applying and use a soft file on your nails to make them last longer
I was in love with the shifting, iridescent colour of this polish from the moment I saw it on the shelf. When I tried it I was not disappointed, the polish itself wasn't too thick and went on easily. It dries within a reasonable time, and looks fantastic. If you want something a bit unique and special then this is it.
Tips: Needs at least two coats or a basecoat
Awesome colours from OPI. Sucks that it cost so much! I have a range of OPI nail polishes and find that they brushes are very wide and streaky compared to products such as revlon.
Tips: Buy only really unique colours of this brand unless you can afford to pay the price.
Some colours are better quality than others.
You will always get the issue with nail polish chipping or ending up gluggy when the bottle is getting a bit old but as I say, some are better than others.
Over all they are a quality product. I love how they have a really vibrant range of colours, if you are looking for a very specific shade of whatever, you can always look to OPI to find it.
Tips: I don't have the patience to wait for nails to dry so a quick drying top coat is always a must have!
