Revlon ColorStay Foundation - Combination/Oily Review

This foundation is the best. I was hesitant to buy it at first because I'm a bit of a scrooge but I decided to take a chance on it because of all the good things I had heard and lucky I did. This foundation has a great coverage after the first application and the shade Fresh Beige matches my skin tone perfectly! It lasts all day and night and when combined with a primer and setting powder it leaves my face flawless. The packaging is quick sleek and simple which I like. The only downside is that when I got a tan I couldnt get the next shade darker because it goes WAY darker and there's no inbetween. Otherwise perfect!

I love this foundation. The range of shades is amazing, it gives really good, buildable coverage and it is easy to blend. It also lasts for ages. A really good, matte finish foundation with low SPF so little to no flashback in photos (yay). My go-to foundation!

I got this home and I couldn't wait to try it because of all the amazing reviews so I did half my face in this foundation and my other half in my old foundation and the result was that this new revlon liquid foundation was flawless it went on so easy it was very easy to blend with both your hands and brushes and it stayed on all day which was the best !

I accidentally came upon this foundation for my prom makeup which I was doing myself, I was scavenging for a full, long lasting foundation on WOW was this my holy grail !! But just like any other foundation I've tried, it eventually became used to my skin and hardly blended well, it would kinda just sit on my skin making it obvious I was wearing foundation. However, I like to switch between foundations an find myself often opting for this baby !

This foundation is amazing!! It is full coverage, easy to apply and not at all cakey!! I have been through 4 bottles of this foundation because I am struggling to find a better foundation

This is my everyday foundation and has been for a couple of years now. I love that it provides a medium/full coverage where you can still see my freckles underneath (lightly). It is also non greasy which is a plus. My only problem with it is that when you apply setting power on top it tends to cake up quite a bit :( Otherwise it's a great products!

I love this foundation, it's easy to use, they have a great colour range and it does what it says it should, lasts for 16 hours. A great consistency, easy to blend and you can mix and match shades when you need to (for summer and winter skin tones or when you get a tan). The pump works well - you can use 1 pump for the weekend or a more casual look, or 2 pumps when going to work or out so you get more coverage.

I tried Combination / Oily #004 in Natural Beige. This foundation also comes in a range for Dry / Normal Skin and the bottles look the same, so be sure that you choose the correct range for your skin type when buying one of these.

The product spreads easily but dries quickly, so it's best to work in sections (do one cheek and then move on to the other, etc.), instead of dotting the foundation all over your face and then trying to spread it when it's already started to dry. It gives medium to full coverage which can be built up easily, with a long-lasting matte finish that covers blemishes and acne. It has a low SPF of 6, so there won't be any white flashback if you're having photographs taken.

I've tried applying this foundation with my fingers, a damp cosmetic sponge and a foundation brush and all three work well, although the damp sponge gave more of a sheer look. If you're wanting more coverage, rather use your fingers or a foundation brush.

I have used Revlon Colorstay foundation for about 5 years now and I swear by it. I wear Sandy beige and in summer sometimes wear medium beige. The colour is just right fro my skin and never looks orange.

The formula for combination/oily skin is very effective at controlling oil. I find that some other foundations I have used such as Maybelline have made my skin quite shiny but Colorstay has a great matte formula and my skin does not get shiny throughout the day.

I really like the fact that I can alter the coverage. During the day when I don't wear a lot of makeup I can apply a small amount and get a nice even skin tone while still looking natural but when I am going out I apply with my brush and can get really full, flawless coverage without looking cakey.

I think that it is well worth the price, it lies between the cheaper brands eg. Maybelline, Covergirl etc. and your more expensive (MAC, Bobbi Brown etc.) and is very affordable for it's quality and definitely worth it compared to the cheaper end brands. It is also much easier to use now that they have the proper pump.

Revlon Colorstay Foundation is great for full coverage but also super lightweight. I found this foundation is very easy to blend and soft on the skin. However, I found that the dry skin foundation didn't oxidise very well, so I purchase the combination/oily skin foundation which has a great finish and oxidises a lot better.
