Rexona is one of my favourite deodarant Brands. When I saw this in my Beauty Box I was excited because I knew it was a highly rated product. If I was going to buy rexona I would normally go for their anti persperant spray.
Rexona deodarant comes in a classic box. I opened the box to find this rexona plastic container. It has a lid on it that can be removed to put the deodarant on. On the bottom of it is a twistable central locking to diperse the deodarnt from this. Directly on the top of it is some perferated holes for the deodarant to come out of.
Application with this product was tricky for me at first. I read all the instructions clearly listed on the back. Tick yes I'm twisting it right. So when the deodarant comes out onto your skin it's like a powdery whitish texture. The scent of it is a mild smelling smell. It's called Summer Strength. To be honest my body odour under my armpits is stronger in the summer. With wearing it all day the smell just sort of mixed in with it. I'm thinking oh man whats wrong with me lol. It just wasn't working for me. So I tried it at night and it did work for me. I don't sweat as much at night not sure if this is why it worked or not. The white rexona paste does stain clothes. It was a bit of a bummer. When I use Rexonas sprays it works for me.
My results were mixed. It worked in the night more than the day. I had no irritations at all. Even after shaving my armpits still no irritation. I wouldn't pay this amount for a deodarabt. I have enjoyed using it and I will keep using it to test it further.
I was excited to receive this in my beauty box and was keen to try it out. I sweat probably a bit above average and so was interested to find out how well this product would cope.
Firstly I didn’t really like the packaging and definitely don’t like so much plastic on one product. I feel like the application is unnecessarily complicated, especially as the old school roll on works perfectly well and this is not an improvement. Admittedly the instructions were helpful and the product did glide on easily once it is forced to the top.
The scent is pretty and fresh and I liked it a lot.
The product is a white cream, and once applied does not feel sticky as some antiperspirant products can.
I found the product worked well and I didn’t have any break through sweating, even after walking/gardening/yoga.
Does it do what it said? It says clinical strength wetness protection, well I don’t know what 'clinical strength' actually means but I don’t end up with wet armpits so I guess that's a tick. 'Motion activated odour protection', well I’m not really sure what that means either, but when I was moving I didn’t notice any sudden odour or wetness so I guess that’s a tick, and 'heat resistant', well nothing major changes when my body temperature changes so I guess that's a tick as well. The instructions recommend using it at night for optimal performance, but I didn’t as I like my skin to breathe at night, and the product is chemically laden so I'm not keen to use it when I don’t have to.
All up, its quite a good product but I usually experience much the same standard from a much cheaper product so for me its a product I wouldn’t go out and buy, mainly because I can't see how I could justify paying $15 for a product that does the same as my usual $4.49 - $4.99 on-special roll ons. And I don’t like that it has more packaging and plastic than most anti-perspirants. I'm not sure I would recommend it to a friend, most likely I would mention I'd tried it and explain the positives and negatives rather than giving it as a recommendation.
Tips: It would be worth keeping an eye out for it on special and purchasing several if it's a good reduction.
