This product is so affordable and sets the under eye area so nicely, It keeps my face matte all day and prevents creasing. Although I recommend going in with a light hand as It can leave a white cast on the face.

This is a great, affordable powder. I have large pores and oily skin and this powder did a great job of mattifying my skin and reducing the appearance of my pores. It doesn't last super long on my skin but not many powders do as my skin is super oily. I just pop it in my bag and reapply during the day. I did find the packaging not so hard wearing which is a bit niggly especially as I keep it in my handbag but at this price point I wouldn't expect it to be.
This stuff is great, doesn't beat around the bush. Long wearing for shine control, comes in a range of colours and the famous shade 'translucent' for any skin type and colour. You're only paying for the product as the packaging is B-grade which is fine by me! Have been using this for 7+ years and swear by it.
Tips: Can use on top of skin, setting foundation, baking... multi use.
This setting powder is really good value and still delivers a good level of matte finish results. I have naturally dry skin and generally favour a dewy look but when I like my makeup to last all day and stay on I reach for this product. I enjoy that it is a solid powder rather than a loose product which makes travelling with it very easy. I use this once a week and have hardly made a dint in it!
A nice light-weighted pressed powder that comes in a light plastic pact. I was gifted this product in the transparent shade. This powder is really matte; good for getting rid of excess shine. When i saw the word matte, yip, i did expect the powder to be a bit dry on me, as i have dry-normal skin. As expected, my skin had a little bit of that powdery make up look on top of foundation. However, powdery-dry patches aren’t too obvious, unless you stare right into the mirror. Although the powder looked a bit dryish on my skin, it gave my skin a smoother look, and had a nice smooth touch to it. It also seemed to have evened out my overall skin complexion. Overall, it didn’t look too cakey, but didn’t look completely flawless either. So, not too bad, but no magic there.
I tried it on top of a couple of different foundations. For me it seemed to work better on the more light-weighted foundations, where it had a smoother finish. Maybe because the thicker foundations tend to make my face sweat a bit, so the powder didn’t work as well, and start to look a little dry and patchy. On the other hand, it looked more matte and natural on top of my usual bb cream. I’m glad i found a better way to use this product for my skin.
The plastic packaging container looks quite fragile... It feels like the lid would break off easily. A good thing about this product is that you do get quite a bit of product , so pretty good value i say for the price.
I received this powder in a beauty box, and it is now a part of my everyday makeup routine. The powder is not too heavy and just finishes of my foundation. The price is good and can be found in most department store. Long lasting winner!
Have used this off and on for years and always a great tool for shine control. Easy to apply and doesn't affect the coverage/colour or look of the foundation underneath.
Tips: Use a big brush to apply and less is more.
The Rimmel stay matte powder is a cult favorite but I personally don't see the hype, yes it does set your makeup and it looks fine but man if I get a little sweaty on my forehead, I get yellowish powder patchiness which is NOT a good look. This powder would probably work very well in the winter months but I do not recommend for oily skin in the summer, I was a hot mess!
I swear by the translucent powder as its lightweight and sets my makeup in place all day. For the size of the pan, the price is great and if you want just a little more coverage, there are some more full coverage powders
I tried this a few years ago and, honestly, I was not a fan! I found it was juts too light and looked odd on my skin. But, I have come back to it recently with an improved make up routine and have found it's great as a translucent setting powder.
It's great for maintaining the matte look that I like and it's so light it just sits on your skin nicely without emphasising your pores.
I apply it lightly with a big powder brush over top of my liquid foundation and concealer. It just helps set everything and make my make up last all day while taking some of the shine from my face. It's a great, cheap, drugstore powder!
