I have been using trilogy's rosehip oil regularly for over the past one and a half years. The product goes so far I am only on my second bottle and still have plenty left' when I first used the product I noticed a difference after the first 3 days of using it. It made the appearance of my skin tone much more even and helped get rid of scars and discolouration. I use it as a facial moisturiser and treatment every night before I go to bed. I also apply some to my eyelashes and they have grown so much ! It's amazing ! Whenever I get a scar or need to relieve a dry patch of skin I apply the oil and it helps a whole heap. This would be one of my holy grail products.

Tips: Only need a few drops to cover your face.
A while ago my skin started becoming really stressed out from increased work load etc etc etc. and I was noticing an increase in breakouts and my skin had become really sensitive/ was drying out with any product I seemed to try - so I looked into something more natural and came across this after reading good things and WOW. It's like magic! After rubbing a few drops onto my face on night number one after purchase, I noticed an incredible amount of difference in the morning. My skin was calm and extremely soft. After continued use my skin feels dramatically more in balance and breakouts are much less common. Would highly recommend for everyone to add this to their skin care routine!
Tips: Along with adding this to my skin care routine, I switched to all natural based cleansers and lotions etc. I also changed my sleeping pattern which I feel is also a huge factor behind the positive change in my skins behavior.
I'm still unsure of this product. I've been using it for a few weeks now and I don't know what I'm supposed to be noticing.
I thought rosehip oil would smell, well, like roses. I don't know if it was just ingrained in my brain that it was supposed to smell like that or what, but the smell is only slightly unpleasant. It's easy to get used to though, so now I don't notice it as much.
One thing I have noticed, is that my skin isn't as oily as it used to be, and in places its not as dry. It absorbs somewhat quickly but I feel like it does make my skin look oily. I can't say I've noticed the oil 'repairing' my scarring or anything, and for the first week or so that I started using this I got several hard, angry pimples and I still have the scars from them. They were so angry that I didn't attempt to pop them, though the urge was there.
It feels lovely when you rub it on, but I don't think 2-3 drops is enough, personally. I have been using 3-5 drops and I feel like it gives better coverage of all of my face and neck. It's great because a lot of the time I don't like using the moisturizer I have, so this is a really great alternative.
Edit: This stuff is amazing at removing eyeliner and mascara!! I put a few drops on the tip of a cotton tip for eyeliner, and for mascara I put a few drops on my eyelid and use a tissue. It's awesome!
So I've been wanting a bottle of this for the longest time, and about a month ago I finally splurged and bought a bottle. Firstly, I love the packaging and the dripper makes application easy, hygenic and you don't waste product. The first time I used it, the smell felt extremely strong and I didn't think I would like it, however, because of my acne scars and blemishes and from what I've read, I persisted with using it. I've used it for about a month now and I have to say I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS PRODUCT, and I absolutely understand why it's rated so highly. I have oily/combination skin and in winter, in tends to be a little more dry. I always have acne, it's been a problem since when I was about 11-12, but I've got to say that this product seems to have helped clear up breakouts a lot! I love that it feels so moisturising, and despite being an oil, it absorbs quickly and leaves your skin feeling soft, hydrated and radiant. I use it day and night - by itself in the day and under a night cream at night for extra hydration. It's really helped to even out my skin tone and hyperpigmentation - so much so that I'm much less self-conscious when going out with no coverage. It's pricey, but I've got to say that it's most definitely worth the money. My mum uses it too, and she has more normal/dry skin and she absolutely loves it as well! She says that her fine lines have diminished, and her skin looks plumper, more youthful and much more radiant. Love love love this product, and I'm definitely going to continue using this.
Tips: I like to take 3-4 drops for my whole face, and at night I like to rub it in gently, in circles - it feels like getting a facial and it seems to absorb better than just patting it on.
Prior to using this, the idea of using an oil on my face was completely foreign. Like many others, I mistakenly thought that it would make my skin oily, and give me spots. Boy, was I wrong! My skin was super thankful to be getting nourished and moisturised, and it really made me glow. My skin was much more hydrated, and drank up the oil without getting greasy. I wasn't a huge fan of the scent (it was subtle, but a lot more bland than I expected - nothing wrong with it, just not my cup of tea), but I did love the results. While I wouldn't buy it again because I am really scent-oriented, it did open my eyes to a whole new world of skincare!
Tips: A little goes a long way! You don't need to use much, 2-3 drops really is enough.
My daughter in law introduced me to this product as she loved it. I have since repurchased this in a bigger bottle and introduced it to my daughter.
All 3 of us have completely different skin types yet it works wonderfully for all of us.
The Trilogy Rosehip Oil is a non greasy oil with a very light fragrance. It comes in a glass bottle equipped with a handy dropper so you can effectively measure out the oil.
I use this daily on my face and have noticed improvements in the appearance and tone of my skin. I love that it is rich and nourishing without being overpowering - and the fact that Trikogy is a natural NZ brand is even better.
This works wonderfully on my (older) skin and my daughter and daughter in law (both in their thirties) also love the effects. My daughter even uses it on her hair.
While it might seem expensive, you use such a small amount that it's actually well worth the price as it lasts - and works. I will gladly continue to purchase this product and recommend it to others
I became aware of Rosehip oil through it being mentioned in the forums. I heard so many great things about it. I was lucky enough to recieve a sample of it through a fellow beauty review member. This serum has lasted me months and theres still plenty left in its bottle.
This sample that I recieved came in a small brown glass bottle. It had a drip dispenser that I could easily control the amount of serum. Rosehip oil is known for having healing properties in it. This rosehip oil has a light yellow clear colouring. The oil itself is quite thick. I didn't notice any scent. I was so excited to try this product on my skin.
I preferred to apply this serum right before I go to bed at night. I do my normal facial cleanse, then I put my night cream on. Lastly I take two decent sized drops and put them on my nose, forhead, and under eyes. These are my most driest areas on my face. I like to wait a couple of minutes to let this absorb into my skin.
After weeks of use with this Rosehip Serum I find my skin feeling hydrated. My nose especially has benefited the most from this serum. On my forehead my lines were still visiable but hydration is fully recovered from using this. My uneven skin tone is still present on my forehead but I will come back again to see if my results have changed. I will be purchasing this once my bottle has run out. I did enjoy this product. I believe it is worth buying. It has lived up to its hype which is an added bonus.
I have recently started used this product the last month or so, and I really don't know how I survived before this product! I have extremely oily skin but I still wanted to try this product due to the fact of seeing and hearing about amazing results. I only use this amazing oil at night time so it sinks into my skin while I sleep, and when I wake up my skin literally looks so much more healthier and alive! It's literally amazing seeing the visible results. I've noticed my acne scarring has faded also! I also use it occasionally on my stretch marks but I've been mainly using it as a light time moisturizer. The price at first put me off, but now that I've tried it I would happily buy the small 20ml bottle again! Never going back to not having this in my life! Love love love
Tips: ALL skin types would love this! Especially dry skin! Even my oil slick skin just soaks up this product like nothing and brings out the best in my skin. Love
I cannot rate this product highly enough. This product when used continuously makes obvious improvements to the appearance of your skin. I use each night after cleansing. If I am feeling particularly dry I will also apply my regular moisturiser over top.
I was always sceptical about using oil on my face out of fear that it would make me break out - not the case at all.
Tips: Don't be afraid of oil even if you have oily skin.
I received my ten free samples of the Trilogy Certified Organic Rosehip oil after reading about it on one of the forums. I was really excited to try this as I had learnt about coconut oil from the forums and have had success with that but I am always looking for new things to try.
I have quite sensitive and dry skin – prone to eczema and other skin type problems (hives) and prone to the hormonal breakouts !.
Trilogy Rosehip oil is a very light oil (not as thick and heavy as something like coconut oil) and very easy to apply. I used this as a makeup remover using 2 drops onto a cotton ball and it took my makeup off hassle free – even eye makeup just glided off (mascara included). It’s much better than anything I have ever used to remove makeup. I put another drop in my hands and rubbed this into my face and neck and hands before bed. I did the same thing in the morning just a couple of drops in my hands to coat my face and hands and neck. My skin felt soft and supple and smooth and it absorbs very quickly into the skin which was a real plus. It was a great start to my makeup routine.
I also was dying to try this in my hair as I found other oils to be too heavy for my fine fly away hair. I put some in my hands and massaged into my scalp and put a tiny put through the rest of my hair. I left this on for 1 – 2 hours and then washed and conditioned my hair. It made my hair really soft and shiny. It looked really healthy. The only downfall was it made it a little bit staticy so next time I think I would just use a little bit less. I have also used one drop on the ends of my hair when its dry to tame flyaways and frizzys and this worked really well ( I haven’t been able to use any other oil in my dry hair).
It has a very light fragrance ( I don’t have the best sense of smell ) but it was definitely nothing noticeable (nothing like coconut oil). A little bit goes a long way with this oil so you only need to use one or two drops.
Trilogy rosehip oil is a little on the pricey side but I definitely think that it is worth the money.
I had great results with this my skin looks brighter and clearer and it tamed the wild frizzy flyaways and gave me a really healthy shine back. I would recommend this to all of my friends.
Tips: A little goes a long way :)
