I loved how easy to apply this oil was! It blends into my skin so nicely without having to use too much, which I really liked as the body oil I had previously been using made me feel like I had to use heaps to get a nice coverage. The rosehip oil made my both my body and face feel really nourished and hydrated, just like it said it would. The bottle/packaging is also nice and easy to use. The only thing I wasn't 100% sold on was the smell. It was a very 'earthy' smell, not horrible but I would have preferred a sweeter smell to it. This being said the ingredients are natural and organic, which I guess is why it doesn't have a 'fake' sweet smell to it, which is a win to me!

Reviews
I really liked this product. One thing i really liked about the product was the smell, sometimes oils can be overpowering but this oil had a nice smell to it. It was easy to use with the dropper and delivered a good amount of oil. I did use a bit more than the 2-3 drops recommended to get a good coverage over my whole face. It felt nice on the skin and wasn't too heavy. I thought it was really good at evening out a couple of dry ares that i had, offering good hydration to the skin. I also thought it may have helped with the fading of a couple of scars, but it a wasn't a along enough trial to assess this. I also did not notice any changes to fine lines but assume this would take longer than the 10 day trail. I didn't mind the packaging but thought it did seem a bit old fashioned. I liked that the oil was in a glass bottle so this can be recycled easier.
I often don't use facial oils because I find them too tacky-feeling and feel that at night more probably rubs off onto my pillow than sinks into my skin. However, I was interested in trying this oil as my skin has been a bit more dehydrated recently, and I loved the ingredients.
Overall, I was incredibly pleased with this product! The oil is very light-weight, and not at all thick and sticky. This means that a little goes a long way and it only takes 2 drops to cover my whole face! It also sinks in a lot faster than other facial oils I've used which is fantastic because I really feel like I'm getting more of the benefits.
So far, my skin has been looking plumper and more hydrated, and I'm looking forward to continue using this product and see what effects it has on my overall skin tone and pigmentation!
Tips: Use a few drops on a dry face to remove makeup before your normal cleansing routine - works wonders!
Alpine Silk Certified Organic Rosehip Oil contains organic acia and evening primrose oils as well as vitamins, essential acids and anti-oxidants. An added bonus is its made in NZ and is paraben free. The packaging matches the rest in this line - a rose pink box with a 3D rose image on it. It’s pretty but a tad old fashioned. Alpine Silk have used the entire packaging/tub to provide as much information as possible about the product including a use by date. I love the fact that this brand packages the oil in a glass dropper bottle, which makes dispensing very easy and you can control the amount of product that comes out. Using a dropper keeps the oil very clean and less likely to become contaminated. The oil is a deep golden colour. It has a very earthy, herbal smell, not of roses but not unpleasant. I have mature, combination skin that has experienced sun damage over the years. My skin is always on the dehydrated side during the winter months and this winter I have experienced an increase in dryness particularly on my forehead and cheeks. I have been looking for a product that will help increase hydration and improve radiance and more uniform skin tone especially in an area where I have noticeable sun damage. I have been applying the oil in the morning and evening after cleansing, toning and applying a serum. In the morning I mix 2-3 drops of the oil directly in with my moisturiser and apply to my face. I use this on my neck and chest as well. I find it works best on damp skin for extra hydration and added absorption. At night I apply 4-5 drops of Rosehip Oil directly onto my face. I massage this into my skin and wait for it to absorb before applying any other products. I use a little bit more at night to really hydrate my skin. The oil absorbs into the skin nicely, instead of sitting on top. I wear makeup over the oil and it stays on very well, I just use a little powder to reduce any shine and give a matte finish. I have trialled the oil for one week now and so far I am impressed. It does a good job absorbing into the skin and leaves my skin hydrated and with improved radiance. My skin has become supple and soft without looking or feeling oily. I have seen no difference in any pigmentation. It is too early to see improvements in skin tone and fine lines but in time I hope to see them improve with continued use. An added bonus of this Rosehip oil is using it for lip repair. I have dry lips all the time in winter. Applying the oil at night my lips have improved dramatically with less peeling and becoming very soft. This oil is a good option for dehydrated mature skin. It layers nicely with other products and absorbs into the skin well. I’m delighted to have something natural for my skin which gives such good results.
Tips: Also works really well as a lip moisturiser. Apply at night to repair cracks and soften lips.
I have been using this oil on my extremely dry tortured hairdresser hand 3 times a day for 8 days now & I love it. It light, absorbs quickly leaving my skin no greasy but hydrated. I havent had any reactions from it as i suffer from eczema & dermatitis and i have had no itching or breakouts since using this oil. The packaging is pretty, the dropper applicator is easy to use as the oil goes a very long way. The smell is very light & doesn't hang around which is great. I found it on trademe for sale and the price is unbelievably cheap for the quality of this product. Thankyou beauty review, this product is saving my hands♥️
Tips: A little goes a long way, use sparingly.
I really enjoyed unboxing this simplistic packaging of the rosehip oil. The texture is a little thinner than other rosehip oils I have used, but that just meant it went on with more ease. I did not find my skin was as moisturised in the morning as other rosehip oils, however it was still soft and nourished. Definitely not dry. I like that it doesnt have any strong scent as well. I potentially havent used it long enough to see any big changes in my skin.
Using this in conjunction with the face mask proved to be a win however. My skin felt super nourished the next morning and so soft.
I would recommend this as I like it better than leading night creams, its probably a great summer rosehip oil as not too "oily".
Tips: Use the mask for best combo!
I found this rip hip oil like most other ones kn the market. It just had a plain oil scent. It comes in good packaging with a little dropper. I applied it to my face to minimise the fine lines and scarring. It has helped to reduce the redness but I think it will take more time to notice the effects on scars and fine lines. Great product that I would recommend.
When you first look at this the package makes it look cheap. Luckily when you open it it is in a nice glass bottle. Smells fine and felt good when applying. Time will tell if its as good as it says.
This was a great product to use. I use rosehip oil every night before bed after removing my make up; and I have noticed a huge improvement in my skins texture since doing so. This product had sleek packaging and a standard dropper to get the product out.
I enjoyed the scent, it was a little less strong than other rosehip oils I have used before which I appreciated.
I cannnot be sure this specific product helps with fine lines and uneven skin tone due to the short time I have been using it; however I have had great successes with rosehip oil before so I am sure this would be no different.
I also rate the fact that this product didn’t have a lot of the extra additives some rosehip oils have, it is a great product on its own and doesn’t need all the additives.
Tips: I put a generous amount on my face and neck after removing my make up at night and it soaks in overnight.
If your skin ever looks a bit dry, add one drop to your foundation for that day and mix well before applying, it really helps if you have any stubborn dry patches.
I really like this rosehip oil.
It doesn't have an offensive smell (I seem to have had a few oils in the past which have!). It glides onto the skin really easily and a little goes a long way. I only have to use 2 - 3 drops across my entire face so this bottle will last ages.
It leaves my skin feeling hydrated and I do think it has helped to even out my skin tone a bit. I've tried this product both at night and in the morning under my make-up and both work well.
The packaging of the bottle itself is pretty sleek too.
I like that this product is made in NZ as I try to support NZ business when I can.
The only reason it isn't scoring perfect marks is because I can't say it has reduced the appearance of my fine lines. Maybe it will as I use it for longer.
Also, I couldn't find any information about if Alpine Silk test on animals or use products tested on animals? I would be keen to find out because that is also something that guides what beauty products I buy.
Overall, one of the best oils I have tried in some time.
Tips: Put a few drops on your skin under your make-up. This oil sits well underneath powder and cream make-up products.
