Alpine Silk Lanolin Everyday Moisture Crème Reviews

I will begin with packaging, the cream comes in a tub which I quite like with a face cream. The graphics, however, are very "I picked this up at the Agrodome souvenir shop" and not typical of what I would look for in a staple face cream. I get the feeling they are trying to appeal to the overseas/tourist market (which is fine).

This face cream is of medium consistency. As I have dry skin, I usually opt for a thicker face cream, however this wasn't too thin. It absorbed into my skin quite nicely, however I didn't have as long lasting hydration as I would like, when applied at night my skin felt tight by morning (this probably wouldn't be as much of an issue for those who don't have dry skin). What really put me off this product though was the heavy scent (quite floral, rosy?), which is something I tend to stay away from in face products.

As with the hand cream, this is not the kind of product I would purchase for myself but perhaps as a gift for an overseas friend (providing I knew they didn't mind heavy scents).

I loved the smell of this and usually I don't enjoyed fragranced moisturisers. This smelt refreshing and a bit floral to me, but not too overpowering. The creme was thick and I used my finger to get it from the pottle and apply. Unfortunately straight away I could tell it wasn't very moistening for me despite the thick and creamy texture. I actually felt like I needed to apply my own moisteriser straight away.

This is nice as a body moisturizer and is not sticky and absorbs well into the body. I like the size and style of the container and this will be great for travelling or for the gym bag. I was very worried about using this on my face as I have sensitive, acne prone skin - however I had no issues! I've used it once a day for about 5-6 days now after my usual serum and not had any adverse affects. Much like the hand cream I am not a fan of the fragrance of this - I find it too "chemically". Overall if you are on a budget, or simply not a fan of spending money on cosmetics - this is a cheap and cheerful all-rounder.

im thankful i was picked for the recent trail team for this product. i do love trying new things, with having sensitive skin its great to find products that work that i wouldn't normally look at. the packaging is nice, round flat jar and a very good size at 100grams. the creme itself is on the thicker side, but still easy to spread. after using it for a few days/week my skin does feel nicer, it does feel like its smoother and softer.. but i personally wouldn't us it again though, i really couldn't get past the smell. i think if you liked the smell this would be an amazing product to try out! and at only around $15 great bargain price too!

I received the collagen version of this review and I was really excited to try it as I have never used this brand before.

My expectation was that it was going to be thicker moisturiser then what it was. It's not runny but also not that really thick, luxurious texture some moisturisers are at that price point. It's easy to apply and did soak into the skin nicely and did not leave any residue or oiliness.

One thing to consider is that it is very fragrant. If you are at all sensitive to products with a stong fragrance then I would recommend staying away from this one. The smell is floral without being an old lady scent.

The packaging was not to my liking as I am not a fan of having a sheep on my skincare. The packaging is not the type that you would display on your dresser and in fact, mine now lives in my bedside drawer.

A week is too early tell if the product really helps with moister and skin softness but I am going to continue to try it out.

I have to admit if i saw this in a shop it wouldn't be the first product to draw my eye - a sheep on the box is not the way to draw me in! But this cream is actually a really lovely moisturizer. I confess to having just tried it as a body creme, and not on the face and neck as suggested also. It is a relatively rich creme but easily absorbed and has quite a pleasant scent. The screw top jar is plastic and comes in a box - quite a bit of packaging. Upon unscrewing the jar there is another plastic lid that you have to lift up to access the cream. This is quite fiddly and messy to get it up, but I guess it prevents the cream from leaking from the jar. Overall a nice cream but probably not one I would rush out to buy again.

I was really excited to try this moisture creme as I love that it is organic and has lanolin and collagen as ingredients. Unfortunately it really isn't the one for me.

I used the creme on both my face and my legs. I found it to be very thick with an intense floral fragrance, so I won't be using it on my face again. If it is a scent you like i'm sure it would be okay, but just not for me.

I have quite sensitive skin on my face and I didn't like how thick it was. I suppose it could be quite good as a night cream, but I found it left my face oily and feeling a bit gluggy.

It was quite good on my legs and this is what I will use it for to use up the pottle. Because of its thickness a little does go a long way which is great in the long run.

I think the thing that has put me off the most with this creme is the packaging. I feel like it is something you would find overpriced in a tourist shop. I think its the sheep more than anything, but I can't seem to get past it. I think its just the general idea that tourist products are cheap and poor quality that is really holding me back.

The moisture creme was okay, and I will continue to use it until the pottle is empty, but I won't use it on my face again and wont be purchasing sadly.

This moisture creme does exactly what it says it will do. It's smooth and makes your skin softer and feel more hydrated after a few days use. It has a lovely scent to it, and is a real 'kiwi' product. Personally, it was quite thick for my liking and for this reason alone I wouldn't use it again as I prefer something lighter, that sinks in straight away. But, if you're skin's on the drier side and you like to lather moisturiser on regularly to combat that, this may just be the product for you!

The screen smelt lovely, felt amazing (The texture was thick and creamy) and moisturised my skin very well. The only problem I had was that while it said it was a face and body cream it definitely is not a facecream for me. My skin is quite oily even in winter. This cream was too thick for my skin even when I used a minimal amount . It caused me to break out and left my skin more oily then it has been awhile. I had a shiny sheen to my skin within half an hour of putting it on my face. But it was great for my body I would use it on my arms and legs and body again, just not my face. So I recommend this cream but only as a body cream.

Alpine Silk's Lanolin Everyday Moisture Creme is marketed as an all-over body cream so as such I decided to use it both as a facial and body moisturiser. My findings?

Firstly, I have usually have combination skin. This winter it has been a lot more normal-dry and I have been seeking extra hydration from my facial products. I thought this sounded like a good option as with the inclusion of lanolin oil it was bound to bring the moisture. The smell was nice and subtle, a light fragrance but unobtrusive. The formula was a cream that was fairly moderate in thickness, similar to many night moisturisers that I have used before. It applies and absorbs easily both on my face and body. Afterwards my skin did feel supple and moisturised, so it did the job.

Would I use it again? Not as a facial moisturiser myself. I haven't particularly enjoyed the feel of it on my face as much as others I have tried and I'm pretty sure it's just a dislike of the lanolin, which unfortunately is the star ingredient in the product. I have however really liked it as a body moisturiser, I apply it after I shower and it's been helping keep my dry winter skin feeling soft.

Overall I probably wouldn't repurchase this for myself as I normally go for a more scented body moisturiser, but I will continue using it as a body moisturiser and I would recommend it to others looking for a moisturiser for sensitive skin or for children as I think it is quite a gentle product.
