Alpine Silk Lanolin Everyday Moisture Crème Reviews

I managed to pick this up in the last vault, thanks BR! I have not used many products with lanolin before so was excited to try it. It comes in a little tub with a screw on lid. The packaging is indeed very touristy with the sheep. Reminds me of something I would see when visiting Queenstown.

It has a lovely thick consistency which I love and a nice floral scent. It says it can be used on the face and body, I'm usually weary about products like this as I never use the same product on my face and body but I decided to give it a go.

I was worried it would be too thick for my face, thankfully it wasn't! It absorbed so well and left no greasy feeling. I got no irritation or stinging and my makeup applied beautifully on top. My face felt soft and hydrated.

I also use on my arms and legs, it leaves them feeling noticeably soft and smooth. It absorbs quickly and banishes any dry skin. I am loving using this and I would definitely recommend it. A great all over moisturiser.

Like the hand cream this smells lovely. Its a fresh, light scent, nothing overwhelming.

The moisture creme is really thick - its enriched with lanolin and collagen and so is really hydrating and caring. BUT I wouldn't use this on my face, its almost like a cold cream, which is too thick for my facial skin.

But as a body creme its wonderful. Especially on those areas like knees and elbows that are prone to dryness.

I've been using this once a day at night and when I wake in the morning my skin is still lovely and soft!

I wish it were paraffin free, but the results mean I'll continue using and look to repurchase!

This comes in a simple plastic jar with a protective cover underneath the lid. I'm loving the fragrance that this (and the matching handcream) has, it's so fresh and flowery I just can't get enough of it.

This is quite a thick face cream, the type that keeps its form when you scoop some up with your finger. But surprisingly it didn't feel heavy when I applied it to my face. It felt nice and cool, and rubbed in easily. The only mild concern I have is that my face felt a bit tingly afterwards. I've very sensitive skin so I'm not sure if I have a bit of a reaction to it. I didn't break out or get a rash but I was a little wary after that. Now I've been using it as a neck cream for a couple days, and I think it's perfect for that purpose. I always neglect my neck and this filled the gap in my skincare routine. It does a great job at making my skin soft and smooth, and immediately after apply it my neck looks visibly more supple.

I'm not sure if the tingling was just my skin throwing a fit, but I would suggest patch testing if you also have super sensitive skin. However it's great for all those who are blessed with 'nonsensitive' skin and it works amazingly as a neck cream. The jar says that you can use it all over your body but this is so nice I feel like I'd be wasting it as a body lotion. Overall this range has left a great impression and even better it's from Christchurch!

I was so lucky to be invited to trial this product, thank you BR! This product came just in time to save my dry winter skin! It was a thicker consistency than I was expecting but it is non greasy and absorbed quickly into my skin, leaving it looking and feeling soft. After a couple of days of use my face was no longer dry, and has stayed the way since. The directions say to use the product on your face, neck and body, and while it works fine as a body creme I've mainly just been using it on my face to make it last longer. The scent is pleasant and non-offensive, and fades once it's applied which is great. The packaging is a screw lid container which I like as it means there isn't any wastage like you get with a pump bottle. One thing about this product that I'm not particularly fond of is the photo of a sheep on the container, because it's not exactly what I want to see on my beauty products on my counter, however this isn't enough to deter me from purchasing this product when it runs out. Highly recommend for dry skin!!!

I was feeling a little unsure about using this product as I had used the hand cream in the same range and didn't like it. First up the packaging is a decent size, comes in a plastic jar and the label is a printed sticker with sheep on it which seemed a bit touristy to me. It has a light powdery floral fragrance to it which is not at all unpleasant or overpowering. It has an almost heavy whipped cream consistency and applies beautifully! The cream absorbs into my skin and does not leave any oily residue or greasiness. This cream is super hydrating and my skin stays soft and smooth for well into 20 hours after applying, I also noticed after about a week that the small fine lines around my decolletage were significantly less noticeable, the collagen in it perhaps? I was not brave enough to use it on my face as I can break out easily but if you have normal to dry skin it would be worth a try... Overall I was impressed and will be keeping this as a staple in my skincare routine!

This is the product to get for that overseas friend as it just screams New Zealand. This is not a product I would ever normally pick up as lanolin isn't something I am drawn too nor is sheep which features on the packaging. Once I got past the sheep looking at me I realized that this is actually a pretty great product. The sheep still puts me off a little though.

This cream is made in New Zealand and uses organic lanolin as well as collagen and vitamin E. It has quite a perfumy scent which once I got used to was quite pleasant when used as a body cream. I didn't feel the need for extra perfume on days that I used this cream.

It absorbed well and left my skin feeling really soft. Even quite a few hours later my skin was feeling way softer than normal. I have been applying this regularly after showering to my body and have noticed a positive difference.

It says on the packaging that it can be applied to the face. I have done this once as I felt that it would be unfair to fully review this product without using this cream as a facial product. The second main ingredient is Paraffinum Liquidum which from my knowledge is a type of mineral oil. Although I don't have acne anymore I did suffer from it in a severe way until I had strong medication to cure it so I have always avoided mineral oil on my face because of this reason I will not use this product on my face again. I also found the fragrance to be too strong for facial use. People with dry skin and normal skin types will likely find this product great for facial use.

Overall this is a great cream to use on my body. The fragrance lasted for quite some time and my skin felt really soft for ages after application. I would recommend this to other people as a body cream but not as a facial cream.

I love the sheep logo, I love that it’s nz made! It works with leaving my skin not dry, but it leaves a filmy feeling. My partner will use this more than me. I feel the logo makes it look like it belongs on a souvenir shop... but great product

I had the collagen cream, and saw really nice results to my skin within a few days. My face especially is noticeably smoother and softer :) I apply morning and night. I also put a bit on my 3 year old because he gets little eczema rashes on his body and eyelids and it has helped in an amazing way by minimizing the size of the rash. So will definitely keep using it. The cream is quite thick In the container similar to body butter but doesn't feel like it when you apply it which is good because I'm not a fan of body butter haha

I received this as part of a trial team and was at first surprised by the size of the tub. I thought this was a body creme and expected a much bigger tub. However, this is also meant to be a face moisturiser and the package size reflects this. I tried it for both face and body and for me it was too rich as a face creme. I enjoyed using it as body moisturiser, with its nice thick texture and pleasant smell. I had not used a product with lanolin before, but I would definitely use one again now that I have tried this. I was a bit worried about the smell, given the sheep on the picture, but the smell of this creme is very subtle and nice. I did not enjoy this creme as much as the matching hand and nail creme, but I would definitely buy it as gift/souvenir for friends and family overseas.

Faintly “wet school jumper” in scent, and cold cream-like in texture, this Alpine Silk Lanolin Everyday Moisture Creme is something you buy at the airport to get change from a twenty. It is moderately priced and durable in its white plastic tub. A little goes a long way and, like the plastic packaging, it will still be around in years to come. Your nana has it on her nightstand. It has a pharmaceutical look to it. This is essentially a cold cream- named for the cool slap feel on the cheek. Mrs Doubtfire could use it as a disguise. Like the senior nanny, this creme will serve you well but it isn’t glamorous.
