Alpine Silk Rosehip Recovery Face Mask Reviews

I have never actually used a face mask like this one before so was excited about trialling this product. I have been using the Rosehip oil daily and wanted to use them together.

So as with the packaging for the oil I thought that packaging for this mask was a little "old fashioned", the colouring and the rose - however it wouldn't put m e off buying it now that I have tried it :) It is pretty and does catch the eye I guess.

It comes in a plastic jar which is easy to undo and do up, it doesn't have the plastic top thing that some creams have which is fine (in fact probably easier in my opinion). The texture is nice and creamy and smooth and smells nice, not too strong and overpowering.

I cleansed my face well with an organic cream cleanser as I normally do, then patted dry and applied a decent amount of the mask, left it for about 15 mins as instructed them washed off with warm water and a wash cloth. The result was my skin did feel instantly smoother and sort of refreshed :)

I can't say much more as I need to use it for a bit longer to get more benefits I would say, but I am interested to see if it helps with the collagen production as I definitely need that as I'm not far off 50!!

I like this face mask and I will continue to use it along with the Rosehip oil and believe that this will improve my skin with continued use.

I was super excited to try out this face mask because the product claims were calling my name. I mean, who doesn't want smoother, younger looking skin?!

As always, I'll start with the packaging. I really like the combination of the white tub with the pink labels and the thin gold strip around the lid which adds a little touch of sophistication. The mask itself is white and looks like any typical cream product. You get 100g of product in the tub which will last a while as a little goes a long way! It also has a soft rose scent which I quite liked.

I would say the consistency of the mask if perfect. Its not thick and gluggy but not thin and watery either. When I first applied the mask I instantly felt a cooling sensation followed by some light tingling which didn't last long.

After washing off the mask my skin felt soft, plump and hydrated. Unfortunately my skin is currently breaking out due to another product that I have been trialing in conjunction with this one so I can't comment on any change in texture just yet. But in saying that, I have noticed that I don't have as many milia as usual.

I will happily keep using this mask in my search for smoother, younger looking skin!

I often stay away from face masks as I find them overly-drying for my dehydrated skin. However, I was incredibly excited to try this one as it formulated more to hydrate and nourish your skin, rather than dry out and detox.

This difference was immediately noticeable, as the mask has a consistency a lot more similar to moisturiser than the thick clay mask I'm used to. It spreads incredibly easily and has a lovely Rosey aroma. As you leave the mask, it feels very soft and doesn't go hard and crack.

Afterwards, my face felt soft and smooth and looked noticeably brighter! I will definitely continue to use this product!

I love this! I have never had much luck with any rosehip based face mask due to my very sensitive skin! This one was amazing! No irritation at all. Didn’t make my skin red or sting. Instead felt very cooling and soothing on my skin. I left on for 20 minutes at night before bed and when I washed it off already my skin felt amazingly soft and hydrated. In the morning my skin felt really soft still, hydrated and my skin tone was very even. when I applied my foundation it didn’t stick to any dry patches as this mask evened out the textures of skin! I LOVE IT and will now use this as my main go to face mask!

I hadn't tried a product like this before but I really enjoyed it.

At first I would like how nourishing can a product be if you wipe it off?! But it actually is very nourishing.

I found it improved my skin's texture and did help to calm my skin somewhat. I have dry skin so I think something like this face mask was missing from my skin-care routine.

I have sensitive skin and had no issues with this product.

Unfortunately I haven't been using it long enough to know if it will give me younger looking skin... But on all other counts it did what it said it would!

I think the packaging could definitely be updated. I feel shallow admitting it but I wouldn't have tried this product if it wasn't sent to me simply because I'm not a fan of the packaging. It would be cool if the packaging for this was updated to be nice and sleek like the rosehip oil I tried from Alpine Silk.

I really enjoy using this face mask. It’s rich and hydrating. It left my skin feeling soft and nourished. I will be using this face mask a lot in the future as I really noticed a difference in my skin tone and texture.

Got to trial this thanks to the BR team. Packaging matches the rest in this line. Rose pink box with a rose image on it. 100g pottle. Looks nice not cheap. Made in NZ, Paraben free. Ingredients contain Organic Rosehip Oil, Sweet Almond Oil & Collagen.

Has a slight rose scent, not overpowering which is nice. Product is creamy easy to spread. I managed to use this a few times during this trial. I wouldn't say my skin looks younger but definitely looks and feels softer. Maybe I need to use it longer to see the full benefits of this product.

I don't typically like cream masks as they don't do anything though this one did. For me i'd use during the colder seasons of Autumn and Winter for hydration and moisture. I would consider repurchasing in future.

I love a good face mask, but never seem to get around to using them regularly. Ive tried this mask several times, when I was suffering from dry skin, and also Im feeling the effects of aging and being out in the sun over summer which has made my skin feel dry. This has certainly helped the dryness, and feels moisturising. I love that you dont need to keep the mask on forever to get good moisturising results.

I really enjoyed this face mask.

PACKAGING: again as I mentioned with the rosehip oil review. The packaging appears to be marketed to an older person. I would not buy this if I saw it in a shop (before this trial). I like the plastic jar it is in, it has a screw on lid and a cover over the product to protect the mask. I like the fact that there will be no wastage of product compared to if it was in a tube.

PRODUCT: product is very easy to apply and great for when you expect to be lounging around for a bit 15-20 minutes. After applying it, it tingled my face and felt very refreshing. It felt like one of those minty face masks. My face felt plump while wearing the mask as well. When rinsing my face it was a little difficult to to remove so I removed the remainder with a face cloth. My face felt hydrated afterwards. I have no idea whether it improved the production of collagen but it definitely soothed and calmed the skin and it felt very smooth afterwards.

Oh and I absolutely loved the smell of this product!

The Alpine Silk Rosehip Recovery face mask comes in a cute little pink box, it has a nice rose scent, I don't usually like rose-scented things, especially on the face as the smell can be quite overwhelming, but this was nice and subtle. It is quite a thick product so I used a foundation brush to apply it. On application, the cream was extremely cold, I had only been keeping it on the vanity in my bathroom, but it is winter so I'm not sure if it is cold due to being in a cold room, or if the product is always this cold, I loved it, the cold sensation instantly soothed my skin and made my face feel refreshed. The instructions say to leave it on for about 15-20 minutes, however I left mine on a little bit longer as I was loving the cooling feeling, after about 30 minutes, I looked in the mirror and it looked as though a slight skin had formed over the top and I was able to gently touch the cream without it coming off on my fingertips. The next instruction is to wash off with warm water, I did this in the shower, which I am glad I did as it took a little bit of effort to wash the cream off and I feel like if I had used a sink, I would have got water everywhere and would have made a huge mess. I was a bit disappointed with the results. My skin did not feel softer, or smoother and no longer felt refreshed, I have other masks that immediately make my skin feel softer to the touch and keeps the skin soothed for longer. I like the instant cooling sensation of the cream but I did not enjoy the after feeling, I have only tried this product once so maybe after regular use it may get better. As it stands I would recommend other maks to friends before I would recommend this one.
