The formula is really thick and I like my liquid lipsticks to be thin. Didn't dry that matte and it completely came off when I ate a cookie.

But maybe not for me. I found this to be very drying on my lips, even with exfoliating and using lip balm prior to use. They do have amazing colour pay off though and a great range of shades, but I just found this too drying for my liking, I dont really reach for it.
Not as long lasting as some other brands of liquid matte, but it does have a nice finish and is reasonably priced. The range of colours are quite bright, not really suitable for my everyday, but I enjoy them for special occasions.
Tips: Don't apply too much at once - can bleed a little bit if you over-apply!
There are a range of shades. Personally, I have ive of them. I feel like the application for each one is quite different as some dry faster than others. Some don't even fully dry. The colours are nice but the formula can be quite drying and overall make your lips look patchy.
Tips: Let dry fully on first coat before applying second
I loved this matte lipstick! It lasted great through out the day and didn't have to re apply many times. It was soft and didn't feel tight and flakey on. I loved the red shades so gorgeous and fresh
Purchased this in an online sale for a couple of bucks I wanted to try it out as I had not tried the Matte Cream range. Pretty standard packaging. Black lid, lace style edging on the barrel.
Candy fragrance, not overpowering. The cream colour was not as creamy as was expecting. Was a bit more of a gluggy texture. Also not as pigmented as was expecting. First layer was a bit patchy so tried a second layer after the first layer dried, did improve the look.
Staying power? Did rub off a bit after smoking and eating but that is to be expected. Overall underwhelmed with this product and won't be repurchasing.
Tips: Apply a second layer to get a better complete look.
The consistency is very thick, it can be patchy and streaky and doesn't layer well. It is very drying on the lips ( more than most liquid lippys) and has an uncomfortable, almost furry, texture. After little more than an hour it will start to crumble off in the middle of my lips, even without eating/ drinking. on a positive note, it is affordable, the colours are quite nice, and has a nice smell.
Tips: I put a bit of lip balm or a not-so-matte bullet lipstick in the same shade just on inside edge of my mouth- this prevents the liquid lipstick from cracking and crumbling, improves the texture, makes it more comfortable and it seems to last longer too ( and easier to re-apply)
I like the colour range, but several of the colours (Miami and a maroon Metallix shade) were not very pigmented and required building up several layers. As such, it became quite flaky. It also felt very dry on the lips and quite uncomfortable. Wear time is okay (4 to 6 hours) as long as you don't eat anything too oily.
Tips: 1. Use a coconut oil and sugar lip scrub to gently buff away the colour when removing. 2. Nikkietutorials has a great tutorial on how to apply liquid lipsticks precisely.
First off, this product will emphasise every single flake on your lips. It's matte, so will further dry out your lips. That's the only downside to this. Australis Velourlips smells like Nerds, a very sweet lolly taste. Up to personal preference, but I love it. Once it's on, it will stay on. I wore the bright red shade and ate Mexican food (think oily and sloppy) and it stayed on perfectly! My friends were all very impressed, as was I. I was so pleased that I went and got the maroon shade. Yes, I would recommend to a friend, but not if they have chronically dry lips. I would also only use this product for bright shades in instances where you don't want transfer. I just don't think the hassle of drying out your lips with this product is worth it for neutral shades.
Tips: Make sure you exfoliate and hydrate your lips first. Wipe off any excess balm before applying. To get an even application, apply a layer WITHOUT pressing your lips together. Let dry then blot with a tissue (should be no transfer). You will also need something like coconut oil to get off.
I have bought so many of these and in loads of colours. They're cheap enough that you can do so! When they start to get low/old they get a bit gluggy but when they're still fresh (first few months) the colour rolls on so smooth and looks fabulous! the colour stays on well when drinking, but not when eating
Tips: lip line first, as they can bleed (especially the red). add a clear gloss or balm on after if you want to make it into a gloss with loads of colour
