I have both the bright red and the purple and am in love with them both. They smell delicious, are incredibly easy to apply, and the colors are bold matter drying head turners. Do be aware they dry your lips somewhat but I think the pay off of the quality of color over shadows this.

Australis Velourlips Matte Cream
What is it?
Highly pigmented lips are the look of the moment, and this lip cream takes it to the next level with its beautiful matte finish! The creamy long-wear formula glides on easily with its doe foot applicator, finishing to a velvety matte look with intense, full coverage colour payoff. Perfect for when you want lasting, matte colour that moves with your lips without flaking.
Time for a change from gloss! It applies creamy, lasts all day and finishes with a soft suede look.A matte lip cream that moves with your lips so you don’t have to worry about caking and flaking.

Tips: Exfoliate your lips before application. :)
I love the colours of these but they just go so down hill so fast! I used the red when I went to a hens night and it came off on the glasses when I was drinking and then when I went to touch up it went soooo tacky and gross I just ended up wiping it off and it just stained my lips really bad. So over all, for wear if your not going to want it to last very long then its good
I have the purple and orange velour lips and they definitely are very matte on the lips and are very hard to get off of your lips. I love the color range of the velour lips as they are so bright and unique.
A negative that I have about the velour lips is that they are very drying and don't feel very nice on the lips. It is also very hard to reapply the product if it does start to wear off as I found that is went quite 'crumbly' on my lips and started to flake off because the layers had obviously got too thick.
I think they are a good lip product if you can handle the dry lips and also maybe only wear them for a short period of time so there is no need to reapply and then you shouldn't have any problems! :)
I have this in the shade Rio-D. It is a lot brighter and more neon then it comes off in swatches online! But it is very pretty. A bright, orange coral neon matte. When I first purchased it I was a little disappointed and couldn't really get it to work the best. It was patchy and streaky in places and when I went for another coat it went thick and tacky. I have since found out that using lip balm directly under it before you apply it works a treat. It lasts a long time on my lips but does start flaking off eventually, and not easy to reapply. Overall it is okay, but I prefer other formula matte lipsticks to this one.
Tips: Definitely use lip balm underneath for a smoother application!
I absolutely love these wee babies and what isn't to like when they offer a wide range of colours, beautiful matte finish with the only downfall being that they can be a little drying if you don't prep your lips properly. I own these in Hon-o-loo-loo and the metallic limited edition 'Grandmaster Pash' and love both! Highly recommend especially for price point.
Tips: Prep lips using exfoliator and moisturising lip balm prior to using.
These are great and affordable. I love that they're matte and last 3 to 4 hours though after awhile they do bunch up slightly on the lips. Some of the colours are not as opaque (I find mi-la-no and rio-d are patchy on me) though my natural lip colour is quite pigmented so that could be why. The red in this collection and hon-o-lu-lu are my favourites.
Tips: Exfoliate and moisturise your lips well first as they highlight dryness on the lips.
I absolutely love my velour-lips. I have 4 shades and they are amazing. Firstly - the pigmentation: These are insanely pigmented! A little goes a long way, they are super bright and intense - they would definitely be the star of your look whilst wearing them! The finish: They dry completely and don't transfer - I have worn these all day whilst eating and drinking and they don't come off. They have a 'matte' finish, but all it would take is a glossy lipgloss to change the finish of these wonderful lipsticks. I don't find them drying, however if you do or you don't like the feelings of dryness on your lips, just apply some lipbalm first. When taking off I would recommend using jojoba oil - they will come off no trouble, and this will return some hydration to your lips. These are definitely value for money, and I will be growing my collection as they release more of these wonderful cremes!
Tips: The wand is a bit tricky, so be very careful to perfect your application before it dries!
I have been on the lookout for a coral-brown matte lip product for a while now, but seeing as LimeCrime have stopped supplying to NZ I thought I'd give Velourlips a go, in the shade Paree. I bought it from Farmers for $17.50, I think other stores may sell it cheaper though. One of the first things I noticed was the smell - the product smells really amazing, like berries. I do recommend swatching before you buy as Paree turned out a little more pinky-nude than the brown I was hoping for, but in saying that I absolutely adore the colour. The first time I wore it I put it on over a lip balm and didn't notice any drying or flaking. I did eat and drink with it on but it only moved a little from the inside of my lips, which wasn't really noticeable. I did find it easy to reapply, I just put a thin layer on top of what was already there and it stayed a really lovely matte finish the whole day. You definitely do need to exfoliate your lips and wear lip balm though! Without it then it has a really dry, tingly feel, like having cotton on your lips, and also flakes more. I feel like all matte lip creams should be used in conjunction with a prepping product though, so this wasn't a dealbreaker for me. I didn't need lip liner or anything, I didn't notice any bleeding on application. I don't really like any of the other colours in the range as I'm not a huge fan of pinky bubblegum colours, and as I mentioned the colours on there website aren't true to the swatches in my experience. However I would definitely repurchase this colour as it's a great shade for daily wear.
Tips: Exfoliate and use a moisturizing lip treatment before application to avoid excess drying. Swatch before you buy.
Is good, such a nice strong colour a and is matte , but yet if you have dry lips or re apply through out the day it tends to get a bit dry and starts rubbing off, so just be carefull, wipe off and reapply, or moisturize lips first!
I got the purple velourlips free with a magazine and I'm glad I did! It feels like you are using paint on your lips and it stays on for ever. Was it's on your lips it won't budge AT ALL! Some people may find it too drying or too matte but if you prep your lips before hand the product won't do any of these thing. I love the smell of this product too. The colour was so pretty and very different to anything I already own. The shade range is too die for and I plan on buying the whole range once the new shades come out in NZ.
