I have 2 of these, a light pink and a dark pink and I'm absolutely in love with these! The colour pay off is absolutely incredible. These are a slightly mousse-like texture and I find you need to work rather quickly when applying, but that's something I'm willing to work with for this product. They last an incredibly long time, and I find they only really start to come off in the centre if you eat oily foods, which is to be expected with any lip product really! They can be a little drying, but not painfully or uncomfortably so. Some lip balm once removed will do the job! Bonus: They smell incredible!

Australis Velourlips Matte Cream
What is it?
Highly pigmented lips are the look of the moment, and this lip cream takes it to the next level with its beautiful matte finish! The creamy long-wear formula glides on easily with its doe foot applicator, finishing to a velvety matte look with intense, full coverage colour payoff. Perfect for when you want lasting, matte colour that moves with your lips without flaking.
Time for a change from gloss! It applies creamy, lasts all day and finishes with a soft suede look.A matte lip cream that moves with your lips so you don’t have to worry about caking and flaking.

Tips: Work fast when applying and try to avoid oily foods whilst wearing. :)
I own 4 of these and I love them! So long lasting . I would wear this for 12 hours straight with only 1 re application. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who doesn't like that drying feeling super matte. Prefer these over the chi chi matte creams.
Tips: Apply lip balm first.
I honestly love these lipsticks for the price they are and the richness of the colours, you couldn't ask for better value. I love them and always get complimented when ever them. They last for ages. The only downside of these are I find they dry my lips out a lip but I think that might just be because they are matte.
This is another staple makeup piece. I have nearly every colour they have released in New Zealand, and love this stuff more after every use.
The colours are exactly as you see them in the packaging. I wear these nearly every day and now feel 'naked' without it. Though these are sooo matte that if you over apply, you end up with caked lips, so I suggest exfoliating your lips regularly with a sugar scrub and even applying lip balm over the top if you have over applied (its easy to over-apply, I do it often!) and then blot your lips with a tissue to take away the major shine, and you should be ready to go!
Velourlips Matte Cream is perfection, and I am addicted and do recommend this to anybody!
I used NY-CEE (I think. The red one) for my wedding day makeup as I wanted a matt red lip colour but not one that transferred when I kissed my then husband. It was INCREADABLE ! Stayed all afternoon and night and didn't even reapply once. A little but drying but you can totally get over that for the lasting coverage and beautiful pigmented colours ! A+++
Tips: Buy every shade ! You will die for them
I have about five different colours in the velour lips and I find I get so many compliments when I'm wearing them! they don't transfer and I find I just have to reapply if I'm eating a big meal. Only problem is if you layer it too much it tends to Crack and come off.
Tips: only use 1-2 layers
I have this in budapash and I love the colour but it might take several applications to get the right colour payout. It has really good staying power, I wore it to a messy and oily dinner haha, and not much of the lip creme came off. Only downside is the applicator brush which is okay for the nude tones, but not sharp enough for the bolder, more vivid shades if you want that crisp line.
Tips: Moisturize your lips before you apply this lip creme as it can be slightly drying.
- It might help to apply it using a lip brush.
I really love my Australis Velourlips. I have the colours TOK-I-O, PA-REE and also one of the limited edition colours, Rhi-Rhi Wine-D. The colours are really great - TOK-I-O is a super bright purple (my favourite!), which is a more cool toned colour unlike most purples, and is suprisingly flattering! However, as much as I love the colours, the velour lips are quite drying, so I highly recommend prepping your lips well before application.
I bought my first velour lip a good few years ago, it was par-ee, and I have re-bought it so many times, i can just wear it all the time and it lasts. I have the collection now and they are so fab!!
I'm absolutely in love with Velourlips! I was given BAR-THA-LONA and SHANG-HI, and I fell for their colours immediately that I had to get another and ended up buying myself DOO-BAI.
BTL is sort of like a coral pink red. And it's so lovely. If you're going for a summery, pretty look, definitely grab this colour. It really pops out. SHANG-HI is a magenta pink and it is absolutely divine. Definitely my favourite from the three, and I got countless compliments when I wore it out. DOO-BAI is a classic dark maroon, leaning towards oxblood, but definitely not as dark as BUDA-PASH. If you want to try out something daring and vampy, but are a bit too shy of BP's darkness, I definitely suggest going for DB!
Of course, all of these come on wet then dry fast. And they all last relatively long. I remember swatching it on my hand when I first checked them out in Farmers. I swatched in the morning and even after countless rubbing and washing my hands throughout the day there was still an evident mark of the swatches. However, after eating and drinking it does tend to fade around the center of the mouth. Not to the point where it's too obvious, but the great thing is you can always reapply over the faded parts and it won't feel clumpy or messy unlike some liquid lipsticks out there.
It's probably obvious by now, but I highly recommend Velourlips. For the price, you cannot go wrong with these.
Update: I ended up giving away DB to my friend who had been really wanting it, and since I never usually opt for dark colours (I still have yet to feel more comfortable with darker tones!) thought I'd let her have it so she could put it to good use.
Tips: Always make sure that your lips are smooth and soft beforehand or you will end up finding cracks. A swipe of your favourite lipbalm should do the trick. Plus the Velourlips formula does not interfere with lipbalm so you don't have to worry about it ruining the colour. Also, a little bit goes a long way!
