I have an Australis velourlips in the colour Paree. Paree is a nude colour and it is a very nice every day nude colour. The veloulips are very pigmented and the applicator is easy to use. The liquid lipstick dries matte instantly and the product is very affordable. The only downside to this liquid lipstick is that it makes my lips very dry so I can't wear this every day.

Reviews
I love the colours in this range, but I don't find they wear the best.
They can be quite drying and I have had issues with the product balling up and crumbling on my lips. Its not too bad though and I do get a decent amount of wear from them before I have any issues.
Be sure to avoid greasy food when wearing them (as with any liquid lipstick) because it will eat away at it!
They are really affordable which is great, so I can deal with the bit of crumbling/balling up I get from them sometimes and will continue to purchase more shades.
Tips: Use a lip scrub first and make sure your lips are well moisturised!
I picked up the Australis Velourlips as a mini 5 pack from Farmers for $19.99. If you're really interested in trying this range then I suggest you also buy one of the mini packs. The pack I purchased contained 5 pinky nude shades including Mil-A-No, Hon-O-Loo-Loo, Ho-Chee-Min, Los-Angel-es, and Lun-Dun.
The packaging of these are super cute and the scent is amazing. They smell super sweet, kind of like grape bubblegum. All the colours I receieved suited me really well, aside from the shade Mil-A-No which made me look like I had concealer all over my lips. Unfortunately those points are about the only things I like about this product.
I have found that the light coloured shades apply really patchy. The darker ones seem to be less patchy, but they are still no where near perfect. Regardless of whether I apply a thin amount or a thick amount, nothing seems to stop this product from looking patchy and streaky on my lips.
This product feels really gloopy and thick on my lips. It slides on easy enough, but once it starts to dry it gets really crumbly and flaky. None of the shades seemed to dry completely matte for me. When I took a drink from a glass, the product completed transferred to the glass leaving my lips bare! My lips didn't feel super dry after using them, but maybe that's because they never lasted on my lips for more than an hour.
I really hoped that I would like the Australis Velourlips because the colour range is great and they are super affordable. But I'm sad to say that this product just isn't for me. I can't wear the shades I own, so I'll probably give them to a friend.
I brought this as a trial and loved it. It wears pretty good through the day. Usually I need to reapply after eating but that's fine. It lasts longer than as NY other lipstick I had and I loved the colors
When matte lipsticks first hit the beauty scene, Australis seemed to be the first affordable brand to make their own range of matte lipsticks, and I think that is awesome. The brand has a good colour range, the products are readily available and pretty affordable too.
These come in a standard liquid lipstick tube with a black lid and see through plastic packaging. The product has a doe foot applicator which works really well and makes it really easy to apply.
The formula of this product feels nice when applying. It goes on smoothly, and dries down quickly. The colour is pigmented, and opaque too (I have only tried one colour from the range).
I love a lot of Australis products, but not this one. I found the Velourlips really drying. It does cake, flake and crumble, and that is not a good look. I have tried using this with a lipbalm, exfoliating before hand and everything else I could think of, but nothing makes these lipsticks comfortable to wear and so I won't be using/repurchasing this product.
Firstly I would like to thank Trudi for all the enabling she did during the Lipstick Challenge. I had never tried this before so when I saw it for $7 in my recent trip to Gold Coast, I had to get. I loved the hot pink color so much that the next day I bought the other two colors that the supermarket had-which didnt suit me at all(because it will a crime to not get it when they are these cheap).
The two nudes were a bit patchy and didnt last long. But the hot pink was up there. The packaging is clear so you can see the color you are getting and has a black cap. They have country names on them for the colors which is really confusing because I cant remember any of it now.
The pink one I found to be very longlasting-8 hours plus. Except for it fading a bit when I was eating. Didnt transfer much although it was drying. The nudes werent as dry but didnt last long. Thinking I got some duds I went to Farmers and got two more for $17. Gorgeous greyish brown one a mauve one. Loving the colors they have-also saw some black, white, green and blue ones!
The pink one is the only one that seemed to last longest but is also the driest. However the other two colors I got were very pigmented. Needs toping up but Iam not complaining. Its a good buy when its on sale or has GWP. Give it a go. You might like it. I have received many compliments regarding the colors. Only the nudes didnt work out too well for me. The darker colors are better.
I love matte lipsticks and thought I would give these a try. The colours range is very wearable and beautiful.
The lipsticks come in a plastic long tube, each has a doe foot wand applicator. The packaging is quite simple and practical. The tube closes tightly, the applicator helps with applying the lipstick evenly and nicely.
The formula is creamy and applies easily, it glides on beautifully. It comes to a velvety matte finish, the colour is very opaque and pigmented. I only applied a small amount of product, apply a thin coat and the result is still great. I am very pleased with the finish colour on my lips and the colours last for ages without fading. The lipstick has a very subtle nice sweet smell.
All the shades I’ve tried are gorgeous, they last all day but they do feel a bit dry on my lips. That is the only drawback.
Great value for money and available in any department store. I would definitely try a few more shades.
Tips: Always exfoliate and make sure lips are moisturised prior
These products work so well. The range is absolutely wonderful. All the colours look really good and are all pretty spot on with each other. Definitely lip liner first!
Tips: Chi Chi Lip Liners work so well with this product
To be fair I only have one shade but it is not a good colour at all for me. The actual formula is really thick so it can be hard to apply at times. Personally I have very dry lips so matte products generally don't work for me. It is very drying and crumbles off during wear.
I think that australis is a good brand as a whole but this is definitely not their best product.
I brought these a while ago and have only gotten around to doing a review now so i have no idea if they have updated their formula.
When I bought them they just didn't apply nicely and the taste of them was just weird. I wasn't expecting them to taste nice or anything but putting something on your lips shouldn't taste bad. I really did like the colour choice which was the only reason I had bought them and the price was really good too. The application is not great at all. The more you try get a better pigmentation and colour pay off, the more it will patch and it just doesn't look nice. One of the colours were alright, but that was only one and it was more of a neutral shade so you couldn't really see from far away.
Overall I wouldn't recommend these unless you have tried them first hand or something as they just didn't apply well for me.
