Favourite Product

Great product - My number 1 go to in regards to a powder form foundation. Super cheap - roughly $20 - $22 depending on which place your purchasing from. Highly recommend for everyday use (I personally use this product everyday)

Tips: I have found that dabbing on the powder on to your face during application reduces lines and smudge marks if your in a hurry or on the go.

great inexpensive powder.

i use on top of liquid foundation on a night out to remove shine and it does an amazing job. it covers my freckles and lasts longer than more expensive powders. During the day i quickly use with either a powder brush or the sponge that comes with it. surprisingly it lasts a long time!

Tips: using over liquid stops shine and makes it last even longer.

OMG!! I love this powder even more now!

I was introduced to this powder about 4-5 years ago from a friend who studied beauty therapy with me. Her skin always looked amazing, just everywhere she went it was perfection so I had to ask her "what foundation are you using on your skin? What is your secret?!" She told me as well as other girls who were interested that she used Revlon Colourstay as well as this powder. She swears by this powder! And I think she still does to this day. So off I went to Farmers and purchased the powder that very same day. I havent used and loved another powder ever since.

This would have to be another of my holy grail products! I kid you not this is the first time, after about 5 years of using it that I have actually read the ingrediants of it and it makes me love it even more!!! I do have a bit of a problematic skin, was worse when I was younger but I feel like my hormones have finally calmed down and therefore my skin doesnt flare up unless it is that time of the month, you know what Im talking about ladies... :P So the fact that this does have, not only Eucalyptus but clove in it as well, it is not only great at covering up the problem areas but it has supportive ingrediants in it that are not going to be harmful for the skin, what a bonus!! I have tried other powders out there and honestly nothing else compares to this one! If you arent already aware I am someone who likes a full coverage foundation, I have done for years and I dont know if I will change for a while but if you are someone who likes a full coverage then this powder is perfect for you! It just makes your skin look so airbrushed without looking cakey on the skin. This Powder is also really good at controlling your surface oil and I find that it is really good at keeping my make up in place. Ok maybe at the end of a really long day (10-12 hour day) you may find that your skin looks almost a little bit dewy which still looks nice but for those of you who feel more confident in a matte finish you can easily press a blotting cloth over your face, touch up areas with the powder and you are good to go! If there was one thing I could say about this product as a con it would be that there is not a very big colour selection. From memory at my local Farmers store there is only 3 different shades which is going to make it very hard for everyone to find there perfect shade. Its a shame because this powder is amazing!!

I will say time and time again this product is amazeballs! I will forever be purchasing this powder unless I get recommended anything else. I have also heard that this is a great dupe for one of the MAC pressed powders so maybe I need to put that to the test, being a loyal Australis girl ;). All Im going to finish up on is Amazing, Affordable and Gotta have it! That is all :) xx

Tips: The biggest thing that I have learnt with powders is to press and then buff the powder into the skin. By pressing the powder into the skin first, it will ensure that you are not going to disturb any product that is already on the skin, it will set everything in place. Then the buffing will help it to look nice and natural on the skin. This tip will especailly help on areas that get oily throughout the day or areas that are red due to a blemish etc. xx

Amazing!

A more recent find of mine, I love the coverage it gives on its own, but I use it to set my liquid foundation. I have the lightest shade but as I'm very pale, it's still too dark for me, but because I love it so much I'm happy to use it anyway, applying it with a light hand and blending a lot. It gives a great matte/satin finish. It lasts a long time, and you don't need to use much, I feel like it's going to last a long time!

Fresh and Flawless

I am a HUGE fan of MAC's Studio Fix Plus powder, LOVE it and used it every day until I ran out. Tight on funds, I decided to give Australis' Fresh and Flawless Pressed Powder a go after hearing it was a good dupe for Studio Fix Plus, and it helped they had a 3 for 2 special going at the time of course!

I began using it feeling very doubtful about how it would perform, but my feelings soon changed. The formula is soft and finely milled and picks up easily on either the supplied sponge or a brush. I recently went away without any makeup except this (eek!) and found that when applied with a sponge to bare skin it still provided medium coverage without the cakeyness that many powders leave. My preferred method of application however is buffing it in using a kabuki brush to set either bb cream or liquid foundation for a full coverage look. I found the kabuki approach works best for a more even finish using less product, wheras the sponge is great for touch-ups. In terms of lastability it has pretty great longevity, lasting throughout my workday without shininess or patchiness.

The packaging is okay, although I prefer compacts that have a mirror above the powder as I find it wayyyy more convenient for touching up. My only other dislike with Fresh and Flawless is the lack of colour selection. I have fairly medium skin tone and purchased this in the darkest shade available 'Darkest Brown', which is lighter than my NW25 powder and far from dark brown so wouldn't suit darker-toned ladies.

Overall, this powder really does live up to the hype and I will happily repurchase!

Tips: Apply with a kabuki brush for an even coverage using less product.

This comes everywhere with me

I purchased this after reading so many positive and rave reviews about it. I am now on the same bandwagon as all the others - this is good. Really good.

I tend not to be a fan of pressed powders, as my skin is slightly on the dry side and this isn't always the best combo. I find that this powder, however, is not cake-y or chalky, and instead just gives a beautiful finish to my make up.

I use the sponge that is provided, and press the powder into the areas I want the coverage. Generally around my nose, cheeks and chin areas. I do this a couple of times during the day, just to 'mop up' any excess shine that I tend to get.

There is a mirror in the compact, but because it's under the powder I didn't actually realise it was there until now. This is great though, as it will save me from having to remember carry one in my bag - all in one!

I did find the shade selection a bit limiting, but I purchased the shade, Natural - which I think is a great match for my skin tone (light to medium).

I think this is a great compact at an affordable price point.

Best. Powder. Ever.

This powder is fantastic. It doesn't look too cakey and it sets my face perfectly, keeping my makeup in place for hours. The shade range is awful, but if you can find your shade I definitely recommend it. If I'm in a hurry I'll use this alone just to even out my skin tone. It doesn't last as long by itself but it's still a good quick cover up. It provides a good amount of coverage alone or can take a liquid from medium to full coverage if used right.

Tips: I use this with a large powder brush but if I want more coverage I'll use the sponge.

All I'll ever use

I have this in the shade natural, I purchased this because I read really impressive reviews on BR and I really needed a decent powder to go over my make-up.

This by far lived up to my expections, it's just that good! This creates a flawless natural looking finish over my bb cream while adding in a bit more coverage.

I use my real techniques multi tasking brush to apply. What I do is get product on the brush and then lightly dab over my entire face. I then very lightly dab the brush on the powder compact again and apply if I'm wanting more. I apply it like this so it doesn't look fake and cakey (got this tip from shaaanxo).

The packaging is good, I like that there is a mirror and comes with a sponge for any emergencies while I'm out.

Overall I love this powder, I will even go as far to say it's my holy grail! Yup I seriously love this. I absoutely do recommend this if your looking for something to set your make-up with creating a flawless finish.

P.s I don't use this alone as it's not enough for me, I like a full coverage.

Tips: Don't apply too much or it'll look cakey. Lightly dab the product on with your favourite make-up brush.

Fresh and Flawless powder

I first read that this powder was a dupe for more expensive pressed powders last year sometime, and I'm glad somebody figured that out! I don't have spare money lying about to spend large amounts on products when you can buy something similar for half the price! I have the shade deep natural which is the middle shade, I haven't decided yet whether this shade is a bit to dark for me so after this powder is finished I might try the lighter shade. I use this powder after applying liquid foundation with the real techniques powder brush, it gives me a matte finish with still a little bit of shine which I do like. My skin type is combination - normal to oily and sometimes dry. I do find that later on in the day I have to repowder just a little bit around my nose and chin area but I have no complaints with that. A down side is the limited choice on colours so this powder is not suitable for everyone but if you are looking for a cheaper alternative and it's the right shade for you defianatly give it a try!

Australis Fresh and Flawless Pressed Powder

I bought this as an option to pat over the top of my foundation when out and about and so far I'm very impressed!

The packaging is very nice. I like the pink foil logo on the black background, it makes it seem quite funky and appealing. Inside, it has the product, then the mirror and sponge.

I chose the shade Deep Natural. This is actually darker than I would have thought my skin is but on my face it looks quite nice. It's very sheer when using on its own so would only really be used if I wanted a bit of a sun-kissed glow to my skin. When I use it to touch up my foundation it gives a good warmth but not too overpowering or orangey. It also blends really well.

I tried applying with a powder brush as this is the closest I have at the moment to a kabuki but I found that it made a lot of powder go to waste. For touch-ups I mostly apply around the nose and cheeks so the sponge was fine for this. The sponge was able to blend it well and left a nice smooth finish.

I'll definitely be repurchasing this, and will probably purchase the lighter natural shade for the middle of winter when my skin is a bit more pale.

Tips: Experiment with various brushes and sponges. I personally prefer the sponge it comes with due to the amount of powder that goes to waste with a brush.
