I purchased this after reading so many positive and rave reviews about it. I am now on the same bandwagon as all the others - this is good. Really good.
I tend not to be a fan of pressed powders, as my skin is slightly on the dry side and this isn't always the best combo. I find that this powder, however, is not cake-y or chalky, and instead just gives a beautiful finish to my make up.
I use the sponge that is provided, and press the powder into the areas I want the coverage. Generally around my nose, cheeks and chin areas. I do this a couple of times during the day, just to 'mop up' any excess shine that I tend to get.
There is a mirror in the compact, but because it's under the powder I didn't actually realise it was there until now. This is great though, as it will save me from having to remember carry one in my bag - all in one!
I did find the shade selection a bit limiting, but I purchased the shade, Natural - which I think is a great match for my skin tone (light to medium).
I think this is a great compact at an affordable price point.
I heard that this was a dupe for the mac studio fix powder and I just had to try it! I bought mine from K mart and it was like $20 I think? Which is amazing for what you get. This product is the best thing that has ever happened ever. It has great coverage and never looks cakey. I think the only bad thing about this product is that it only comes in a few shades, but thank god one of them suits me just fine! I use this with my elf powder brush and it gives great coverage. I use it either by itself or over a liquid foundation. I've gone through 2 of these so far and its been ages since I first bought it. I will never not use this!
Tips: Use it with a flat top powder brush!
