Aveeno skin Relief was suggested to me - I have really bad psoriasis on my elbows spreading up and down my arm. It has an awful oaty smell (found the lavender one a little more appealing) and although it has been recommended for psoriasis relief I did not do anything for me after 3 months of use my skin is just as dry as before - back to the drawing board.

Tips: Do love the shower gel - much more appealing even using on its own leaves skin soft and moisturized - great for shaving (it actually states that on the packaging)
My daughter bought this for me as a gift since a friend of hers uses it and was raving about it. I found it nice and creamy to apply. It sinks into the skin nicely and definitely feels good to wear. I didn't think it was overly spectacular. The packaging is nice and looks good siting on the vanity or dutchess...not like some that have bright colours and stick out like a sore thumb. The actual moisturiser has a nice consistency and I found a little to go quite a long way. I did notice a difference when I used it over my heels. They felt quite a bit smoother and softer. I didn't think it was heads above other cheaper moisturisers so I would probably only purchase it again if it was on a good sale. This did seem fine to use on sensitive skin which meant it can be used for the whole family.
Tips: Keep an eye out for a sale to purchase this. It would make a great gift if you were unsure of what sort of skin the person has that you are buying for.
I suffer from psoriasis which can be pretty bad on my arms, so I like to have quite a heavy moisturiser that's not too harsh to manage the very dry skin problem as best I can.
This is a lotion that's quite light in consistency and normally I would prefer a heavier cream, but this was a cheap emergency purchase while on holiday as I had forgotten my regular body moisturiser. In spite of it not being what I would normally purchase, I was actually reasonably happy with the job it did. I wouldn't say it lived up to its claim of '24 hour moisture', but it did an adequate job and I have continued to use up the bottle. Sometimes in the winter months I will use a cheaper, less intense moisturiser when I know I'm not going to be exposing any flesh or when my skin is going through a good phase.
It's fragrance free and didn't irritate my skin at all. A massive plus is that it didn't burn my legs after shaving like some moisturisers do.
I have mixed feelings about the pump style bottle. It's convenient for getting product out for about the first 2/3 of the bottle, but I find them a pain when you're trying to get the last dregs out and I often end up wasting the last bit because it's just too much effort.
I'm not going to give up my absolute favourite moisturiser any time soon, but I would probably buy this again as a cheaper alternative for those in between days.
While this isn't an exciting or mind blowing product to use it does the job.
Its thick and creamy, absorbs well and doesn't leave a greasy feeling. It didnt irritate my skin, has no smell and hydrated well.
I would probably not repurchase this as I just found it to be unexciting to use. Personally I really need a good product with a delicious smell to get me to actually go through the ordeal of moisturising lol.
I liked this for mainly the scent, however as a moisturiser it performs well and is great for sensitive skin!! I didn't think it gives spectacular results, but if you were after a reasonably priced day to day moisturiser this definitely is worth a buy! It definitely absorbs well into the skin with no greasy residue!
Good non greasy moisturiser. Doesnt have much of a strong scent which is good. I dont think it relieved or helped my eczema much, but I may have had a strong condition. Probably only works well on normal skin or slightly dry skin. Decent moisturiser
I finally found a body lotion I can use all-year round. My skin gets very dry in winter while it's normal in summer. I used to use heavier cream-based body lotions/butters in winter, which left a greasy feeling, and lighter lotions in summer. This is the best of both worlds: it's hydrating enough to prevent dry, flaky skin (minus the heavy feeling). It absorbs quickly, perfect for summer-time use. Also, I'm sensitive to heavily-scented lotions, so it's great that this is fragrance-free.
when i decided to try aveeno my hands where dry , itchy, cracked and peeling . so basically i needed a miracle. i will admit the moisturizer didnt cure my hands but it did relieve the dryness for short periods , i was probably just expecting too much from it . but now that my skin is back to normal although i am prone to excema still,i really enjoy using the moisturizer and it does make my body really soft especially after shaving my legs. it absorbs quickly and is a good consistency , more on the thicker side ( which i prefer). and even when i use it all over my body it last a while
Tips: best to use the moisturizer straight after a shower
I suffer from dry skin on my arms from a skin condition and this moisturiser is the only thing that clears it up and makes my skin baby soft, it's so moisturising when my face gets really dry from removing makeup and day to day life I use this moisturiser on my face, I would normally apply it twice a week to my face and every second day to the rest of my body. The only down side is the smell of it is not that nice.
When it comes to moisturisers I buy specific products for my face and neck but just about any supermarket cream will do for my legs and arms. Criteria for leg/arm moisturisers are - smells ok, non-greasy, absorbs well, doesn't feel sticky after. When I tried this Aveeno on my hand at the supermarket it did all of the above and it was a bonus that the scent was undetectable, so I bought it. However when I put it on my limbs they feel sticky and unpleasant. The stickiness lasts ages, all night till I wash it off in the shower. I thought I would chuck the bottle and try something else but have decided to try using it on my hands only. Perhaps my limbs are not dry enough but my hands are? I will find out and update my review. For now this product is on notice for me.
