Avene Extremely Gentle Cleanser Review

I was given this as a gift, and decided to keep it by my bed for those nights that I am too tired to wash my face and do my skincare routine. It is so lovely to use, I put a small amount on a reusable pad, and it wipes across your skin so softly, and removes my (minimal) makeup really well. I have a funny thing about using active skin care products after a no rinse cleanser so I on the nights that I use this cleanser I finish up with a moisturiser and that's it! I feel like I am looking after my face but in a very low effort way! I see in other reviews that some people rinse this off, which I might try as well. Due to being gifted this, I havent looked at the price, but this is a large bottle which will last a while, so I am happy!

This is a great non-foaming hydrating cleanser that is extremely gentle yet very effective. Unlike other sensitive skin-targeted cleansers I have tried previously, this product has never caused a burning sensation on my skin. It has a silky and creamy gel texture which glides on the skin smoothly and leaves no residue after rinsing. It leaves the skin soft and lightly hydrated without making it feel tight and stripped which is fabulous.

Love this cleanser. I find it nice and gentle and that it works well. But it is hard to find and involves me searching for it which is the one annoying thing about using it.

I have sensitive skin and so far no adverse reactions. Its mild and gentle but does the job. Has helped with my maskne too, while not being over drying.

Its reasonably priced also.. I am happy to pay the $ but just wish it was easier to find.

After reading reviews suggesting this product was highly recommended for sensitive skin I decided to try it out as I was going through a bout of periorofacial dermatitis. It did not provide me with the miracle response I had hoped for this especially considering that it came at a cost higher than other sensitive friendly facial cleansing products that I have used. I found that it still did aggravate my skin condition although to a lesser degree than non sensitive friendly cleansers might. All this said skin conditions such as this can be so individual in how they respond to particular products so it is still worth trialling to discover if it can be of help for another with such skin disorders.

In fact i jist think ita to gentle well for me. I like a cleanser that washes off my make up and with this cleanser its so gente and creamy it doesent do that.. Maybe its a cleanser to wash woth in the morning without makeup.

I would totaly recomend thos for someone with very sensetive skin its a good cleanser.

I purchased this product last year as a treat for myself for a holiday I was going on down the South Island. I had heard only great stuff about the Avene products so was excited to try this. It was so lovely to use, and super gentle like it says, my skin can be very dry & sensitive at times so this was perfect for me to use. A little went a long way and it made my skin feel super clean and fresh and even cleaned away my make up. Love the fact that the scent is very subtle as I'm very sensitive to fragrance. Comes in a good sized bottle with a flip lid. I will definitely be purchasing this again in the future as a treat product to use when my budget allows.

This cleanser comes in a 200ml white plastic bottle. It has a flip top lid for ease of use, you really can't pour too much out by accident. It is the most gentle cleanser I have ever used. I don't usually have sensitive skin but after a bit too much sun one day I was still able to use this comfortably, there was no irritation.

Even though it is a super gentle cleanser it still does a great job at removing make up. I wear full make up everyday and this always does a great job.

It was gentle, non-stingy, removed my makeup (even mascara) and cleansed my skin without leaving that dry, tight feeling after wards.

The scent is pretty plain and clean smelling (I wonder if it is actually ‘unscented’?). No harsh fragrance, a little like a very mild soap smell.

The consistency is quite runny so you don’t need much to cover your entire face. Its texture and smell reminds me of the Cetaphil cleanser actually.

I’m not wowed by this product but at the same time I do like it. I have to admit the price tag would put me off repurchasing this one I’m afraid. I just don’t think it is an all-time favourite to bother splashing out that much cash.
