This is a huge globe of a bomb. I only used half of it as I am still reluctant to spend as much money on one bath what I would do on a bottle of wine lol. Half seemed to do the job just fine and it still put on a spectacular show.
This bomb definitely lives up to his name and when it hits the water, it quickly turns from a planet into an entire galaxy. Bursts of yellow, pink and light blue swirl to become a dark midnight blue. The colour is just stunning. It is full of glitter that is suspended in the inky depths, giving the illusion of twinkly stars. I really did feel like a mermaid bathing in a galaxy!
Every time I went to get out of the bath, those stars made me just relax back into it. It left my skin soft, although not as much as some other bombs (maybe because I only used half?) but I felt no need to moisturise afterwards. Scent wise I could smell peppermint when it first hit the water but couldn't notice this when I was in the bath. I seriously think Lush has destroyed my sense of smell with its strong scents though. It did leave a subtle scent on my skin afterwards which I can't quite define -clean and fresh but with a powdery undertone. It did also leave some glitter behind but it just gave my skin a subtle glow in the light, not full on 'five year old fairy princess party'!
This bomb did leave a lot of glitter at the bottom of the bath, although thankfully not a ring around it, and it easily rinsed away. I would've quite happily left the glitter there but the cat considers the bath to be his giant water bowl.
This is more than a mere bath bomb. It is an experience. I will definitely use it again. I might even knock myself out next time and use a whole one!
I love Lush. But if you read any of my reviews (or my blog), you probably already know that. When Lush has a new release, I am all over it like white on rice. So clearly, I had to get my hands on this new bath bomb as soon as it was released in New Zealand.
Lucky for me, I did manage to get my hands on this bath bomb pretty quickly after it was released. However, unlucky for me.. the bath at home was just not performing as it should of and I was having some water issues so I had this bath bomb in my possession for 5 months.. yes 5 months before I could finally use it and let me say, the anticipation levels were high.
This bath bomb is the generic size and shape. It is a dark blue colour and has swirls of pink and yellow around the sphere. It has an amazing, menthol, peppermint smell and I am a huge lover of peppermint too (It was at this point that I thought I was on to a winner).
When this bath bomb hits the water, its amazing. The pigmentation of this bath bomb makes the water turn an amazing midnight blue, with the colourful pink and yellow colours leaving bright streaks in the water. So pretty. This bath bomb would not be complete without all the glitter that looks like tiny twinkling stars in a dark night sky. Amazing. Plus that minty smell lingers in the air aswell.
I love Lush, but not all their bath bombs are worth the price tag. This bath bomb is. It is worth every, single cent. I am going to be buying more (once I have a good water supply).
Lush's Intergalactic Bath Bomb certainly lives up to its name.
The bath bomb is circular, predominantly a colbaltish blue with lines of pink and yellow through the middle of each half. It actually reminds me of the Earth in bath bomb form slightly but with less landmass and different colours dipicted. On the surface of the bath bomb you can also see the glitter that is mixed into in.
When putting in the bath it turns your water a deeper blue. From the moment it touches the water, blue ink is instantly visible in the bath, followed by streaks of pink and yellow. The bath bomb is a reasonable size and the colour is quite strong so if you have a smaller bath you could possibly cut this in half and still get the whole effect.
Once the bath bomb has dissolved, the bath looks like it's holding a mini galaxy. In the water you can also see lots of glitter swirling around. Or should I say stars.
The two scents I picked up from this were a peppermint and woody scent.
After your bath you may want to give it a quick rinse down as well just to make sure the glitter and colour does properly wash away. You will also be glittery yourself, but you wouldn't want to wash that away would you?
Mirror mirror on the wall who’s the shimmery-est of them all? This intergalactic bath bomb that’s who! Goodness me, if there is one thing I remember this bath bomb for it has to be the shimmer shimmer it is fair PACKED with the fairy dust.
The bold deep blue of this bath bomb with a slight yellow centre looks like it should belong in our solar system. It is a decent size, just fitting in the palm of your hand. As I place it in the bath and watch it fizzing round and round I watch as it throws a splash of pink and yellow looking foam and turning the bath water an amazing bright cobalt blue.
As I take in the scent of the bright blue water I get a hint of peppermint and then a divine woody, musky scent. It is so perfectly balanced I could bathe in it all night long, I wouldn’t even mind if I came out looking like a wrinkled up prune.
The second time I used this bath bomb I used the “ice blue” soap and the two are a match made in heaven since both carry the peppermint scent.
Once I dry myself my skin feels lovely and soft and leaves a slight musky scent on my skin, it leaves a lot of fairy dust on my skin, which reminds me you need to rinse the bath after your done or take a cloth to clean the rest of the fairy dust off the bath. The first time I forgot to and the next morning it looked like a sand storm had been through the tub.
I will definitely buy this again and I am pretty sure this is my new favourite beating the old favourites “twilight” “dragons egg” and “fizzbanger” this really is the whole package. The scent, the colour of the water and the fairy dust. Everyone needs to try this bath bomb at least once.
I bought three of these babies when Lush was having their xmas sale. I love me a beautiful bath with my Lush bath bombs so to have all the gorgeous ones is a must do! The Intergalactic is no exception and now is one of my top three! It looks fairly normal on the outside but it is a wonder to behold once it is enveloped by the warm bath water.
The bath bomb in its entirety is quite big and a good value for money. It is bright blue with pinks, whites and yellows to enhance it. I dislike to use them up fast because of them being limited edition (at the time) so chose to break it in half like Shaza. It prolongs them for a little longer which makes my heart happy.
The smell is very true to the ingredients. The peppermint is the stand out which is gorgeous and lifts the mood as well as my lack of alertness. The tub quickly turns a deep inky blue much like a night sky. The colours then fizz out taking on a whole new wonderland where it looks like a galaxy of stars. The glitter it disperses is beyond amazing. It swirls and turns making my bath look like an endless galaxy of beautiful gold, purple, blue, green and orange colours. It is amazing and is truly an experience you must have! If you too love a gorgeous glittery bath this is most definitely for you!
I felt very energized, smooth and all over relaxed after my soak in the Intergalactic bath bomb. It is perfect after a hard day at work or after doing a workout. It helps the muscles relax but energizes them at the same time. I am in Lush heaven!
I love Lush bath bombs that put on a show when added to a full bath, Intergalactic doesn't disappoint one bit.
This handful of bath time goodness, comes in a bold blue dye with hints of other colours like, green, yellow and pink interlaced throughout it's body, both the bombs I had seem to have the colours gravitate around the middle where the 2 halves are joined during manufacturing so I assume this must be the normal look but still random. Before hitting the water the aroma of lemons are easily detected.
Chuck it in and let the fun begin, nothing soothes me more than to watch a bath bomb spiral like a whirlwhind around the full bath it is the perfect end to a week for me. As Intergalactic makes its way through the water, floating along in it's fizz, emitting at first a real deep inky blue that then starts to have huge blobs of green and pink spinning from it. There is no bubbles with this bomb, just a fizz action. Once finished it's death dance the water settles to a true ballpoint blue with a mass of golden glitter hanging in the water, and I am not talking a light sprinkling of glitter this is intense there is not a single piece of water that isn't saturated in the stuff which makes me a very, very happy girl. Who doesn't love glitter.
The aroma of lemons and a sort of manly musk softly wraps around you, which is really pleasant to me as these are some of my favourite scents. The dye from the bomb didn't stain my bath upon emptying the water out, however I was left with a huge gold deposit on the bottom of it. All that golden glitter that had been in the water was now sitting there like I had panned gold, so fine but so bright and dazzling. Not to worry, again this didn't stain my bath and a slosh of water saw it all be whisked away down the drain.
After towelling off I started to notice my arms, under the light of the bathroom looks all glittery and as the night went on I was noticing more and more of my skin had been stuck with the glitter bug. So went to bed that night really happy as I was glitter girl. Some magic was at play as the glitter stayed on my body, slowly fading after each shower over the next couple of days, but it didn't transfer onto my clothes, the bed sheets, the dogs or the hubby. Magic!! and I am so in love with it!!
Whilst caught up in the Christmas hype I ended up with a couple of these interesting Intergalactic bath bombs. I had put them aside unsure if they were really for me... until a friend convinced me I would like it based primarily on the amount of glittery goodness within... she was right... but I will admit it took me a bit longer to be convinced on the scent.
This is one of the mid to large bath bombs and the pretty colours on the exterior pale compared to the beautiful display once submerged in a warm inviting bath.
The blue is the first thing you'll notice followed by a stunning array of foam and colour settling to a oceanic blue full of gold glittery sparkles. The scent was a light peppermint with a hint of vanilla and to me it felt somewhat masculine if not for the sparkles. It was a moisturizing, mesmerizing and special experience that I would possibly do again but I prefer other scents... but that glitter... LOVE!
Tips: Split in half if you have a smaller tub or just to enjoy twice as much.
If you are a Lush fan and you love bath bombs YOU NEED TO BUY THIS! There are no Ifs or buts you HAVE TO HAVE this in your collection.
I filled my bath up took a deep breath and admired the bomb I was holding. Mainly blue but In the middle it looked like a galaxy, a galaxy of colours, pink, yellow and white. One last look and BLONK! In it went :)
Watching it swirl and fizz around the bath was amazing. The bath turned blue straight away, then came the glitter, then came the colours. And the smell?! Peppermint. The most amazing smell eeevvver. It was really refreshing.
Sitting in my blue, gold glitter bath water I admired the uniqueness of this bath bomb. The colours that came from it were, well LUSH lol. After having a nice long soak I hop out and I'm covered from neck to toe in gold glitter. The happiest I've ever been to be covered in glitter.
Will I buy this again you can count on it! For $10.50 I will only use half my bomb next time, just so I don't feel like I'm sitting in an expensive bath haha.
This bath bomb has eye appeal aswell as the pleasant aroma that gives me a relaxing bath. It's a perfect round ball with stripe of white pink & yellow thru the middle & speckled with glitter all thru it. It has deep scent that gives you warm relacing feeling even when sitting on your shelf I swear thst it gives me a good night's sleep just being on my makeup desk in my room. Upon it hitting the water the product continue to performs with an appealing unravel of its fluor tie dye colours once it has totally disolves it is as your gazing into a starry night sky but liquidity :). But wait it doesn't stop there your body & mind relaxes. I end up staying in the bth until I go prunish or as my kids say "I go like a grandma", that's what they say when they've soaked so long in the bath.... when you get out your skin has glitter on over & any aches my body has are vanished from the soothing bath. U have repurchased this many times this year. I usually break it up so the whole family gets their own experience but when I feel extravagant then I pop the whole thing into the bath.
