Lush Rose Queen Bath Bomb Review

A rose tinted spectacles bath, for times when all you want to see is the rosier side of life.

Drop into a warm ready run bath, lay back and imagine you’re running through a rose garden, with your hands brushing the tops of the bushes. The scent of this one is a light floral rosy accord, of rose absolute and geranium, with amber notes of rock rose. The bathwater gets a rosy pink glow with a sprinkling of marigold, lavender, hibiscus petals adrift on the surface

Ok roses

Oh roses, most rose scents are very strong and fake smelling and make my nose turn up, but Lush seems to be the exception. Rose Jam would be one of my all time favourites scents.

This bath bomb is on the smaller size of Lush bath bombs, fitting very easily in the palm of my hand. It is a light baby pink coloured bath bomb with bits of petals poking out.

I pop it in the bath and watch as it pops and fizzes and fires out rose petals and what looks like little lavender seeds. There is a slight rose scent but not like rose jam but it is nice on the nose.

When I hop in I notice how many petals and seeds are floating around me. It's almost borderline too much but it's a nice touch. Once I dry I don't notice much of the Rose scent left on my skin. For a real rose hit I use this with the rose jam bubbleroon. It's nice but not a fave.

Shower Aftermath/afterbath

I bought a few of these online as I wanted to share some with a good friend who adores Rose scented anything. I tried one for myself in my bath and instant regret! I wish I had thought through the fact that you can see the petals sticking out of this... well they went everywhere and clung to my skin, wonderful during the actual bath but afterwards I needed to shower to get rid of them and even then it was a case of 'how did that get there' O_o

The actual scent and fizz were nice, it's not as moisturising as I would have liked but still a nice relaxing ballistic. the water colour was a very very pale clear pink with lots of floating pink/brown petals. For the price it was still worth it and enjoyable I just prefer other Lush bombs more

Tips: Use in an outdoor bath if you have one and be prepared that you'll need to rinse well afterwards.

Just Rosey

I got this baby as a birthday gift from a friend. She knew how much I loved Rose Jam so thought I might like a rose scented bath bomb. It is very girly and pretty when you first lay eyes on it. It is a light pink colour with dried flower petals sticking out every so often. It definitely smells of roses but not as sweet as Rose Jam. I am not usually a fan of rose scents so for that reason I am not really excited about it. But forward I go incase I fall in love.

I put it in the bath and it fizzes to reveal a rosey pink colour which is lighter than the colour of the bomb itself. Once all the fizz dispersed I was left with dried flower petals all through my bath and the scent of roses which was actually quite pleasant.....shock! After 10 minutes in the bath I got over the smell and it became nauseating. The petals stuck everywhere and was actually more annoying than anything. I don't really know what purpose they serve to be honest. They brought the experience of the bath down three notches instantly. I had to hand pick them out and dispose of them which was time consuming and annoying.

The bomb itself did not end up being friends with my skin. I am usually left smooth and velvety after a lush bath but this one left it squeaky and dry feeling. I was not impressed with it as a whole. It does have good points but the bad outweigh those. I wouldn't go out of my way to purchase nor would I recommend it to anyone unless they adored rose scents and having floating petal islands in their bath water.

Tips: If you don't want to spend a while picking petals out of a tub, do not proceed!

Rose queen

Lush is the best for rose products ! They always remind me over strong Turkish delights. I love rose jam so needed this and I was so happy. The smell hardly dies down even in a very full bath tub and it lingers on your skin for a good full day after. It wasn't a strong colour but was still present in the bath and the petals are a nice touch, I think I paid around $6. I will definitely buy it again such a unique amazing smell.

Fit for a queen!

I love the scent of roses and it's hard to get right in cosmetics but Lush do roses so well! No granny tones or artificial scents here! Rose Jam is one of my favourite Lush products so when they bring out anything rose scented, I have to try it.

This one came out around Mother's Day so I am not sure if it is part of the permanent line now or not? It's certainly not as big and bolshy as some of Lush's newest bombs. It is a fairly quick fizzer and turns the water a beautiful pale, milky pink. It puts on more of a subtle show than some of its counterparts, although it does release dried petals into the water.

It has a subtle but true rose scent. It did fill the bathroom so I left the water in for awhile after I got out. The smell didn't linger in my skin for long but it did leave my skin feeling soft without the need for body lotion.

A nice relaxing bath that I would definitely use again if it hangs around for long enough.

Looks and smells beautiful but no

very expensive for what they are! However, This does smell delicious and im totally impresssed that these are fully vegan products - animal friendly and great for the environment. They smell Devine, look pretty in the bath for about a minute and then that’s it. No benefits to my skin or body whatsoever. I won’t be buying again
