This is a really subtle honey scent that isn't too sweet. It froths up really easily and creates a lovely scent in the shower. The bar does build up soap scunge easily in the shower. I do prefer this in shower gel form as I find shower gel easier to use and also travel with than bar soap. But the scent is to die for.

Lush Honey I Washed The Kids Review
Lush Honey I Washed The Kids Review
Best-selling honey toffee soap-sation
Honey I Washed the Kids is one of our best-selling soaps because it’s simply irresistible. People who fully intended to walk past a LUSH shop find themselves unable to resist its sweet caramel fragrance. You’ll inhale, drool, pick up a big chunk and immediately want to wash yourself all over with it. It’s so gentle, buttery and scrumptious you’ll have a hard time keeping it to yourself. The honey water and aloe are so softening and moisturizing, you can use our toffee-scented sensation on the whole family.

This is another Lush product that i just had to get my hands on after hearing some amazing things. I'll admit, hearing amazing things did tempt, but not enough to buy the actual product. It wasn't until i went into a lush store are saw this huge soap slab, that i had to buy it.
Firstly, if you see this in a Lush Store.. drool! I beleive this is the prettiest and most detailed soap from the Lush range. The soap itself is a beautiful milky caramel colour, with a thick layer of honeycomb on top. Now of course i don't mean real honey comb. But it is this beautiful dark honey colour waxy product, which is embossed with a honey comb print. It looks stunning. However, i do find this bit of the soap a bit hard against my skin, so i do just peel it off the soap in the end.
This soap smells incredible. Its has the warmth of honey, but a warm and sweet butterscotch undertone. Drool. It seriously smells so good.
As a soap, it functions to perfection. It lathers well, it is is easy to hold, and it cleans skin without stripping it or drying it out at all. Plus it fills the bathroom with the most amazing caramel scent. So really, it is a multi purposeful product, half soap, half room fragrance.
This is one of the more expensive soaps from the Lush range but it is 100% worth it. I don't buy it all the time because it is expensive, but if i am in the Lush area, you can guarantee i'll be picking one of these up!
In my mind, this is a classic Lush product. It has that classic honey smell that Lush is famous for. Its my everyday go to Lush soap because it really does smell delicious, not too overpowering and sweet. It looks really funky, almost like caramel. It doesn't lather up as well as i would like my soaps too but i still know im getting a good clean. It doesn't dry your skin out, in fact, i felt it left my skin quite moisturised afterwards.
Tips: Keep it somewhere dry and dry it after each use so it will last longer.
I absolutely love this soap! It smells amazing, like a mix of toffee caramel and honey! I received it as a birthday present and once it runs out I am definitely buying some more!
Tips: Store the soap in a separate container when not in use- will last much longer!
When Lush first came to my town I was drawn in. At that stage my skin was seriously sensitive. Even looking at anything with perfume would react with it. I was drooling over everything when a assistant who had sensitive skin came to talk to me.
She totally understand my skin and how Fustrating it was and sent me home with honey I washed the kids soap and shower gel. I was hooked! I brought the soap and was still worried how my skin would go. I was told if I reacted I could get a refund.
So these soaps you get to pick how big a chunk you would like. You can also pick if you would like the top honeycomb bit. It's the hard bit that is stuck to the top. I like that bit. If you break a wee bit off and put it in the plug hole area, as the hot water hits it, it sends the fragrance up. Make sure it's smaller than the hole so water can still go down. It's also nice wrapping it up in the paper it comes in and placing in clothes drawers or linen cupboards.
So the soap. It's a strong honey smell. It wont dry out your skin (still requires moisturizer after showering) and doesn't react with my eczema. It leaves a lovely soft fragrance on your skin. Using it on babies is heaven! Smelling them with it on. Need I say more lol
Tips: When you use it, keep it on a rack that drains to keep it dry. It will last longer.
I bought the Honey I washed my hair solid shampoo and shower gel so it only seemed right that I complete the set and get the soap. I am so glad I did too. I am a sweet scent loving girl so of course when I see the name honey I am all in with no regrets. I love the scent of the Honey I washed the kids soap. It sticks to the name of smelling just like honey but with an almost caramel undertone to it which drives my senses nuts! I bought a biggish offcut of this soap because I knew I would just fall in love with it. $11.34 later and I had this baby join my Lush honey crew.
It's a light caramel colour and has the rustic look I love about the lush soaps. It's never an even shape, just a cut off the big block and that's the way I like it. I really only use this soap in the bath because I find that it tends to melt away far too fast in the stream of the shower. Also I find that leaving it in the shower creates a slimy build up on the soap if I don't wash it off the block every day. I have found that even though I am obsessed with this soap and using it on my skin, it tends to dry my skin out a bit so am left having to moisturize big time after every use. I am ok with this because the honey/caramel scent is on my skin for hours afterwards. I always have to have a chunk on hand because it really grabs you and won't let you go. It's really that scrummy.
Tips: Don't leave it in the shower for too long without use. It develops a slimy soapy buildup that is unpleasant.
I don't have kids, you see :P
This is one of my original Lush faves and it's still going strong - I went and purchased a piece of this a couple weeks ago as I'd been thinking about it :) I also got the matching shampoo bar which I love and will review once it's loaded!
The Lush Honey I washed the Kids soap, like all their soaps, comes in huge wheels that they cut up into pieces. it's priced by weight, so you can buy as much or as little as you want to. They weigh and wrap it for you at the counter.
The soap is super cute, in a milky coffee kind of colour with a hard layer of 'honeycomb' on top of a layer that looks like honey on top of the soap. This hard layer can be a little rough on your hands at first, so go carefully.
The soap lathers into a creamy foam and isn't drying, stripping or harsh. it gently cleanses skin and washes away cleanly, leaving traces of the scent behind.
The scent is glorious. It's a soft, sweet, mouthwateringly good honey scent that is warm, rich and decadent. It's subtle enough to be used on small people if you have some living at your house, and doesn't clash with perfumes etc.
One of their best products in my opinion - if you're in Lush, treat yourself to some!
Tips: I get the Lush girls to cut my soaps into smaller chunks as I prefer to use up a smaller piece in the shower than have the whole big lump sitting around for ages. They're totally willing to do so, and I recommend it. It also means you can change scent more often if you're like me and get bored easily ;)
