Buy this right now!

I have the Becca shimmering skin perfector in champagne pop. I love the industrial looking compact it comes in. The clasp is quite stiff which means it won't fling open by accident.

Inside you have a mirror and the product. It's looks like a rose champagne colour. It's so creamy yet it's a powder. It makes my heart sing just looking at it. I get a brush and swipe some on my temples and cheek bone sort of in a 90 degree angle. Then I dust a small amount on my cupid bow before applying lipstick.

I use this almost everytime I apply makeup. It's a absolute must have in my collection. I can actually see a indent of where I have been using this which never ever happens with my products. I get bored with them easy. Not this!

So apply lightly for a subtle glow or with slightly more for a bam you need sunglasses to look at me look! If you apply slightly to much, get a big fluffy face brush and blend out.

This product is a heck yes I'll be buying again!

Tips: Don't look at the NZ price, buy from beautylish and do like me, pretend the cost is nzd. In all honestly yes it's pricey but so worth it

Becca- your go to for epic highlighted glow

I purchased the glow to go highlight set from Sephora which included the powder and liquid version of the cult classic Opal. This is a mini version of the real thing with a plain rather than aluminium plated lid.

Becca are world famous for their beautifully fine milled highlighters and Opal is no exception. Its smooth, creamy and just melts into the skin.

The shade is a warm champagne with very fine shimmer. It is jam packed full of pigment, so apply lightly with a fan brush, unless you wanna go all out then just swish it all over your face! I find that in summer this looks great, but is perhaps a bit too warm in winter for my pale skin tone. Moonstone and pearl are apparently better suited to the super fair, and are on my wishlist!

Becca are super pricey, but are such amazing quality, so any highlighter from this brand are a worthy investment. I do think that The Balms Mary Lou is a wee bit more affordable option and is similar enough that you could call them dupes (although Becca's is a wee bit more finely milled and leaning more rose gold than champagne gold).

Glorious Glow

I received this free when I purchased Becca's primer at Ulta and really didn't expect much. I could not have been more wrong - it gives me a really lovely glow, not too shimmery, but just right. Whenever I use it I get heaps of compliments of "you're looking well!" as it makes me look so healthy and fresh faced. Sadly mine ended up in pieces in the compact after a lot of travelling, but it still works really well if I'm careful opening and closing the clasp (which can be a bit stiff, but no big deal). Will definitely purchase again when this freebie runs out.

Tips: I have fair-medium skin and i put this on last over primer-concealer-light foundation and sometimes bronzer. I brush on tops of cheek bones, forehead, nose and jaw line and lightly blend.

Not worth the price

I was super excited to get this because of all the hype around it, I ended up getting the shade Moonstone because I have more fair skin but I think I should have got Opal instead. The formula is nice enough but I was under the impression it would give more of a wet look, similar to the Mac Extra dimension skin finishes, but it ended up looking exactly like my TheBalm Mary Lou. There also isn't a lot of product in the pan either, you can see the bottom of the pan through the product because it's so thin. It's a great highlighter and gives a beautiful finish and a nice champagne colour but especially in NZ where you're paying $60 for it, it's definitely not worth it when there are plenty of other products that are similar out there that are way more afforable

I have both moonstone and opal. Opal is way, way better. I got my opal in a mini size from beauty bliss, might be a good way for you to try it without paying $60 for one?

The best highlighter

I was very VERY lucky to be part of a secret Santa group and my gorgeous secret Santa bought this highlighter in a set with a liquid highlighter. She very generous, I know!

This highlighter is a mini and comes in a brown plastic compact and even has a small mirror inside the lid. I have this in the shade "opal" and it's a perfect match for my medium skin tone.

I just very gently tap my brush in the product rather than swirling it around, yes honestly you don't need much. It's also super easy to blend out with a big fluffy brush if you need too.

I apply this along my cheek bones, just under the brow bones and sometimes on the Cupid's bow. The texture is so buttery and creamy and the pigmentation is amazing. I thought the hourglass ambient lighting wardrobe was amazing. This is even better!

I'm always scared of highlighters making my fine lines stand out even more but this one doesn't accentuate any flaws, it gives you a gorgeous glow without being all disco ball on your face glow. it really is amazing. You only need a tiny bit of this highlighter as it goes a really long way. It lasts all day and doesn't fade.

This has to be easily my most loved highlighter EVER And there are not many days I don't use it. I can see myself finishing this product and I will definitely repurchase it.

The best highlighter I've ever tried

I have a mini pan of the opal highlighter that I got in a duo set with a liquid highlight too. Highlighter isn't something you use a lot of or go through quickly so I totally recommend buying this mini set. I think it's around $35 for both compared to $50+ for the full size pan.

I love how cute this little pan looks. Unfortunately it doesn't come in the cool spaceship looking becca packaging, mines just a plain brown compact with becca written across the top. This does up securely and is easy to open as well. It even has a mini mirror in it. I don't usually use mirrors in compacts but this could come into handy at some stage if I ever needed a quick highlight check.

The powder looks perfect even just in the pan. It looks so shimmery and just tempting to touch. Opal is a beautiful gold shade without being too intense on the gold. This isn't glittery at all either. I didn't actually think this shade would work well for my light skin because I've tried other golds and they have been too much. This highlights my skin with a gold sheen without looking like I've got a gold stripe on. The powder feels so creamy and it blends so well when I use my finger or if I use a brush. Now, while I say this isn't too intense on my skin tone, this isn't a subtle highlight. When you put this on, you are going to glow. I love how it looks when I first apply it and I love even more how it looks when I apply setting spray over my face. It intensifies this highlight even more. This lasts beautifully on my skin and I don't need to reapply at all.

I think this shade would work well for light and medium skin tones. I'm not sure if it would work on darker skins, it might be too light? Becca has heaps of different shades of highlight though, so I'm sure there is something to suit everyone.

I can't imagine actually using up this little pan but I sure as heck would repurchase it! I don't ever want to be without this.

Moonstone- overpriced

This highlighter was not as blinding as I expected it to be. My skin tone is light-medium and this shade is suppose to be the second lightest highlighter.

Moonstone is very similar to The Balms Mary-Lou Manizer, but a bit more translucent and a bit more of a white-gold undertone.

I will continue using this, but it is not my favourite.

Beautiful Becca Opal

After swooning over the Becca eyeshadow whilst keeping a tight grasp on my wallet, I decided to purchase a set that contained a mini Opal highlighter and cream highlight. The cream highlight was gifted to a friend and the pressed shimmering skin perfector has stayed firmly in my collection. I have a fair-medium skin tone depending on whether I have used fake tan. Out of all of Becca's shades, Opal seems to be the most universal. It is pigmented and noticeable, but not glittery, and can be blended out for a more subtle, lit-from-within glow. This particular shade is described as golden opal - I consider it a mixture between a champagne and rose gold. This product packs a punch in the pigmentation department, yet remains soft, buttery and finely milled. It is certainly the most luxurious of my highlighters. Because of its formula, it can be applied with a brush or even your finger.

The Becca highlighters come with a high price tag, however this is reflected in the quality of the product. Being a highlighter, a little goes a long way. The mini size is a great option if you are waving your Wayne Goss fan brush cautiously.

Tips: Treat this with care - like most highlighters, it will shatter easily.

I'm so in love

I have the pressed highlighter in the shade moonstone, and I have light- medium skin

I love love love this highlighter so much I bought a back up. It's a wee bit pricey, but it is so worth it. The formula is incredibly soft and smooth and buttery. It is not gritty or chunky or glittery- it has the most beautiful sheen and this particular shade is a perfect natural looking highlighter for my skin tone ( not too white, not too golden). I find that the colour is a bit warmer than The Balm's mary-lou manizer, and definitely more intense, and is just overall better quality ( but the balm is still a great alternative at a cheaper price)

Skin like glass

This little gem is not for the faint of heart! If you prefer a natural "lit from within glow" then this product might not be for you. I purchased this product in shade "opal" and it is the perfect in between champagne/bronze shade, it has a gold glow but is undetectable until it hits the light. I dont really like products with glitter but i find the more this powder is worked into the skin, the more glassy and less glittery is becomes. I also love applying this with a wet sponge on the very tips of the high points for a super blinding glow!!! Love, love, love!
