I used this product for over 5 months (3 times a day at least) to try get rid of some razor burn scars I had all over my thighs...

Okay let me be honest, I left my burns get worse and worse. I would itch it a lot until it left permanent scars.

I used this as it claimed to get rid of scars and after reading some online amazon reviews, I had high hopes.

I used it and for the first month and I DID notice some improvements in the dryness of my thighs, they were very soft but the scars didn't go away at all. The moisture was good but it didn't deffer much from my normal moisturizer which is by far less expensive! I kept using this 3-5 times a day for 5 months and still no improvements so I gave up!

I then decided to use some old home remedies and even though this is hated by many, I rubbed pure lemon on my thighs twice a day for 3 days. Results? yes, dry skin BUT NO SCARS!! I then used some bio oil for a week to get rid of the dry skin and wallaaaa!

SO in conclusion, thanks for reading my story lol but it didn't do what I expected it to in my opinion. Not sure about stretch marks as I have not tried using in for that purpose but I can tell you that for me, it did not remove ANY scars. It DID moisturize but I would use a cheaper (and better smelling) moisturizer or lotion. This doesn't smell that bad but I prefer other scents

I was given a bottle of this after giving birth to my first child. It's an expensive product so I had 'saved' it, but when I was pregnant with number two a midwife friend mentioned it was made with mineral oil - a petroleum byproduct - and that she personally wouldn't use it while pregnant.

As it played out, i ran out of my other body oils so I used this one, but I found the scent very flowery and overpowering.

It was moisturising, as promised, but then all body oils are. The packaging is all plastic and while the screw top is secure and easy to open, it seems 'cheap' - especially considering how expensive the product is.

I haven't used this to apply to scars so I can't comment on its effectiveness there, but my doctor commented that stretch marks are mainly about genetics, and that products that promise to prevent them are just trying to make a sale. During my first pregnancy (when I was pretty slack about moisturising/applying body oil) I got off pretty lightly for stretch marks, so the fact I didn't get any the second time while using this bottle doesn't mean much.

Of course, lots of people have found this a great product, but personally I'm more inclined to suggest more natural options.

I use this product once to twice daily to help reduce the stretch marks on my stomach and hips, and it works wonderfully. I noticed reduced marks within a week.

I try to remember to use it regularly, and now it seems I only use it when I get out of the shower, or in the morning when I remember. However, this product still works, just slower.

I would definitely recommend using this product for all who have stretch marks they want to fade. It has given me more confidence as the marks are slowly fading and being less noticeable, which is important to me for when I swim.

I have yet to have any issues with it staining my clothing, but it might be because I apply it when I am wearing my pajamas or shapewear.

I’ve bought the 200ml bottle in the past to help my dry skin and reduce the appearances of my stretch marks. It’s a see through bottle and the oil is a light peachy/orange colour.

I used it in my daily routine as I was eager to get rid of the stretch marks the most. The oil is very light weight and a little amount was enough to absorb into the skin quickly. After trying it for few months, there were no changes to my stretch marks, but it did help my dry skin.

I was very disappointed it didn't work since it was heavily advertised for stretch mark and that’s what I wanted gone. I wouldn’t at all recommend this product to try on stretch marks, but it’s great if you have dry skin.

I use it often on my face, occasionally at night. I like the result and the moisturising/oily feel to it as I have dry skin. Have no idea if it will make any difference to lines etc over time as have only been using it 6 months.. Do not have scars etc that I am concerned about.

Personally Bio Oil didnt work for me as I was mainly using it for my face and I felt like it clogged up my pores and made me break out. I prefer to use rosehip oil.

It says you can use it on face and body. It made my skin so oily and break out and it didn't heal anything on my body.

I used bio oil when I was pregnant, started at about 12 weeks until about 2 weeks after baby was born. I used it twice a day and I didn't get any stretch marks. I would definately recommend this to anyone pregnant. I used this on scars and whilst it hasn't got rid of them, it has reduced their visibility. i like that this product is natural and contains really good ingredients. It doesn't have smell and absorbs easily into the skin. My skin doesn't feel greasy after using this. It's readily available at the supermarket so it's easy to pop into the trolley when doing the weekly shop.
