I used this with all my pregnancies(pretty much 4 years straight) even though it didn't work the first time, and it didn't make any difference with stretch marks and skin tone! It's pretty much just a scented oil(not a very nice scent either, but I got used to it) I say an overpriced oil too, seeing as it doesn't do what it says. It was good for dry skin though, obviously, because it's oil based. To be fair, others I know claim it has worked for them, so it guess it just wasn't for me..

I had high expectations but for me, this product didn't do as it claimed. I noticed no significant changes on any scarring or stretch marks. I will agree that it is good for dry skin but for that price there are other products on the market that are much cheaper and will give you the same result.
I remember there being massive hype about this when it first came out but I never bothered with it as I didn't really have any stretch marks or anything that needed it. I have recently started to get a bit of cellulite/uneven skin tone at the tops of my thighs and got bio oil for this purpose.
It did an all right job but nothing spectacular. My skin felt hydrated in the short term, but not over longer periods and it didn't really change my skin tone that much. I have also heard negative comments about the ingredients and it does take a while to soak into your skin.
I think you are honestly better off saving your money and going for Cocoa Butter or something like that as i have had much better result using that.
This product is not good at all. When my daughter was 5 she fell over and hit her head on the corner of a skip bin, splitting her head open above her eyebrow. After it had healed it was recommended that we use Bio Oil on her scar to make it fade. It did nothing at all, and after a few weeks use she had a sever re-action to it and where we had been applying it she got severe blisters. I will never again purchase this product, and never recommend it to anyone!
I got hit by a car which damaged the appearance of my skin on my calf. I used Bio Oil on it and it has definitely faded over time. It has a nice non greasy feel to it
Tips: Great to apply to face every now and again
I don't see the hype around this product. I have used it on many of my scars repeating application for long period of time and never saw a difference! I didn't like the smell of it and found that by bottle leaked a lot. I also found that it never really soaked into my skin properly and would leave a greasy layer. I was really disappointed with this product.
I use this product because I have a lot of scars from previous surgeries that have turned hypertrophic. I have been using it for awhile now but I have not noticed much change- probably because my scars are huge. My sister also uses Bio Oil- she has a smaller scar from previous surgery that hasn't turned hypertrophic- She has found that it has helped. It has turned her scar lighter and it is slowy disappearing.
Tips: I think Bio Oil is good for small scars but it is definitely not a complete cure to get rid of scars! Use silicone sheets with Bio Oil :)
I have used bio oil with great success in the past on burns to my tattoo sleeve that I didn't want to scar (as a chef I get burnt A LOT). Some fairly severe burns are now barely perceptible. I also used this during my pregnancy and didn't get stretch marks but I wasn't at all religious about it so I'm sure that's more luck than diligence. Bio oil does make a lovely all over moisturiser but having discovered coconut oil I would recommend that first.
Tips: I've used a tiny bit of Bio oil on my face as a makeshift primer to help foundation blend before it worked great and gave a lovely dewey finish. Careful not to use too much and look like a grease slick though
I used this while pregnant, it done nothing but moisturize my skin which still wasn't great as I did feel itchy after using it, it also stained my sheets when I applied it before bed, overall I really think this product is a waste of time as it is quite highly priced and it doesn't seem to me to be doing anything it promises in my eyes
I love this product. It must have some magic which helps the cells so with daily use skin health is improved. I prefer to use Bio Oil, rather than a moisturiser, on my legs as it is still 'working' at the end of the day.
Tips: Use Bio Oil daily... and thank you to the person who recommended it to me..
