If you're a mother then you will probably understand the want for less visable stretch marks, which is what made me buy this is the first place. I cant remember the price I paid for it, but after relising that it didnt really do what it says it does I remember being disapointed i'd paid so much. I used Bio oil at least once a day for the 2nd half of my pregnancy. I found it to be soo oily that it wasnt a nice feeling putting clothes on top after you have applied it. The smell was fine, but it definatly did nothing to my stretch marks or other scars around my body. It definatly helps moisturise-(if you dont mind that oily feeling) but for me personally i cant stand it! Wont be using this again, and years later I dont care so much about the appearance of my stretchmarks! :P Its availability is good, the packaging isnt so pretty-felt a bit clinical, but i did find i liked the orange looking oil.

During puberty I aquired a lot of stretch marks. And I mean a lot! Mostly on my bum, hips and thighs. When I fell pregnant I was determined to try everything possible to avoid stretch marks on my stomach. I started from 4 weeks gestation applying bio oil religiously twice a day. I also used 1 other brand of oil and 1 other brand of cream. So 3 products total twice a day. I felt like a slippery sticky mess but at 40weeks gestation - No stretchmarks. The areas that I didnt use the oil, breasts and bum etc did get stretch marks.
The price of bio oil is quite expensive. But a little does go a long way. I used 1 large bottle throughout my pregnancy. The scent is fine. I did find it to be more greasy than other brands though.
Tips: Try it
I used my Bio oil twice daily for 3 and a half months to reduce the appearance of the stretchmarks i got during teen years.
The product feels lovely and soft. You don't need alot of it to spread it over a large area. It smells lovely and soft, and has a nice colour and consistency. Unfortunately I didn't see much of a difference in the appearance of my stretchmarks...at all
Tips: Rub it into your cuticles and nails to keep them healthy and free from loose skin things and dryness. My nails felt stronger after using it like this
I love using Bio Oil on my Pregnant Stomach. It is nice and easy to put on and a little goes a long way.
Tips: Dont need to use too much. Its not cheap so just use a little and it lasts for ages.
I used it for a few months. I didn't see much of an improvement. I noticed on light stretch marks it does make them fade more, but on darker marks there isn't really a difference. One of my friends used this when she was pregnant from the start and she hardly got any stretch marks, so it might be a good preventer but not sure if actually removes/reduces marks. However; it does make your skin feel nice, soft and smooth after
Tips: A little goes a long way
I found this to be very irritating on my stretch marks and caused them to get sore, red, burnt and stung them i had to shower to wash off and it left a red rash on my skin which stung like crazy won't buy again
Tips: I would try a sample size first before buying and try on a small area of skin to make sure there is no irritations or any sort.
I've been useing this twice a day since being 3 months pregnant, I'm now 7 months and I have no stretch marks! It's fantastic! I have skin that is prone to stretch marks as I have a few tiny faint ones on my hips so I thought I'd get covered in them being pregnant, but so far nothing. It's so moisturizing and keeps my skin soft and supple all day and night after each application. I also haven't had any itching from stretching and I'm sure this is due to the fact that I put this on my skin twice a day. It soaks into my skin really well and doesn't leave an oily residue nor does it get all over my clothes. I only need a small about as it goes a long way, which is awesome as it isn't too cheap. I've also noticed that my old stretch marks on my hips have faded so much since useing the oil. I highly recommend this for anyone who has stretch marks or scars or to prevent stretch marks.
I used Bio Oil religiously when I was pregnant. Within a month a noticed my skin was alot softer and more supple. Once my stretch marks started appearing as my belly got bigger I used it more frequently but it didn't seem to help. I definitely would recommend people give it a go, whether for stretch marks or scars, as every body is different so I do believe it works on some people.
I used Bio Oil right through my first pregnancy, my tummy still came out with lots of stretch marks which took about two years to fade to white, so no it didnt prevent my stretch marks but they did eventually fade as I continued to use the product evryday!!! I think it does depend alot on ur genes weather you end up with stretch marks but the fading of stretchmarks and scars can be helped, so think it may have helped mine along the way.
Tips: If your applying to your tummy like I did always allow sometime for it to absorb into your skin as it can absorb alot into clothes and stain them.
Got one of these for myself and my mum and have been unimpressed with the results. On the positive side i did find that where i applied the oil my skin was soft and the scent was fine but thats about it for the positives. I have two good sized scars about 4-5 cm in length, stretch marks and dry patches of skin and I applied the bio oil to all of these areas for about two months. I noticed little to no difference in the appearance of my scars and stretch marks through this time and gave up after two months. My dry patches were hydrated but I can achieve this through the use of the moisturiser I get from the doctors so not overly impressed at all. So the search continues sadly :( don't think I will be recommending this to anyone.
