I'm not the type of girl to go for an all out bronzed or contoured look because my skin is so pale, I look out of place with that brown tint. I got this product because it was on special at my local k-mart, and I'd never owned a bronzer before in fear of over doing my face. The first time I used it, I only used a small amount because it looked like there was a lot on the brush, but after blending it a bit there was really nothing there. I find this product quite buildable so I added a bit more and found when I turned my face looking in the mirror, I really could see the light shimmer and slight sun-kissed colour which I'd never had before due to being someone who burns easily. I now find this product to be part of my every day routine as it really doesn't make you look dramatic at all with just a natural look, and it really helps with making me look more alive after my foundation washes out my natural colour. This product also lasts a very long time, so you don't have to worry about replacing it every other month like a lot of powder products.

Tips: Layer it up, this product is very sheer and if you think you have too much on your brush, you probably don't.
I'm always a little cautious with buying bronzers as I fear they can look too orange and fake.
I really like the elf bronzer as it gives me a beautiful tanned glow and I use it as a contour also to make my cheekbones pop.
I purchased this from Kmart for a lowly $5! Bargain.
I will definitely be using the elf bronzer as a staple in my makeup bag!
Tips: A little goes a long way, be sure to blend!
I seriously am already brown. But I bought this bronzer as it was the lightest one I could find, basically I just wanted to use it to frame my face a little more and it does the trick - I love how smooth it makes my face fee too (well, the parts of my face that it's used on anyway) and not that gross oily-clay like feeling you get sometimes. I generally don't use foundation or even bronzer (unless I'm going out and there is photos to be taken) it really is good for a little pick-me-up to your everyday look.
Tips: Make sure you blend it in well enough & please watch your hairline - noone wants to see that.
Not all affordable beauty buys are winners and unfortunately this bronzer is no winner. I bought Maui from the ELF website for $NZD3.00 during their 50% off sale. I absolutely love small makeup items because they're lighter, take up little space and they're easier to travel with so to have a bronzer that is of a similar size and packaging as their baked highlighter was an added bonus to me.
I recommend people to read the product details because I didn't, so I clearly missed a key word which would have stopped me dead in my tracks from buying it - "SHIMMERY". I seriously need someone to tell me why bronzers should have shimmers. I'm not trying to highlight the path of my contour nor do I want a shimmery framed face. On my chocolate skin this bronzer doesn't give me a sun-kissed look, it just looks shimmery as if I I'm all about that glittery life.
The pigmentation is non-existent, it took 4 solid swatches with my finger to pick up pigment so you can imagine how I fared with the brush - terrible. To add to the frustration I dropped the bronzer and the packaging survived the fall but the bronzer clearly detached itself from the pan - unbelievable. It was still usable not that there was any point with the little colour it was giving me. I'm glad this was an affordable lesson because it's one that I have no intention of revisiting.
I found this was a 'nice' bronzer, nothing amazing or anything to rave about. The amount that you get is great for the price. And it is pretty pigmented so you have to use a light hand. Im not a huge fan of the shimmery satin finish but on days my skin is looking dull it does give me a bit of life to my face. But its no good for me as a contour as it does have the shimmer to it, but for a bronzed look it worked well.
Tips: Apply sparingly as its pretty pigmented, and it is buildable so start with a small amount
I purchased this bronzer in St Lucia. As I have fair skin, I find it hard to wear bronzer without it looking too orange. This is the perfect bronzer colour for me! It is a nice brown and perfect to wear just below my blush to contour my cheeks. Unfortunately, it is so baked I struggle to pick it up with a brush! When I use my finger to swatch there is no problem with the product but I just struggle to pick up the baked texture with a brush. For this reason, I would not repurchase.
I bought this when I did a large ELF haul a while ago, and have been using it in the last few weeks.
This isn't overly pigmented - especially in comparison to their bronzer/blush combo. This adds a light, rather subtle bronzed look to your skin. Be warned that because it is baked it does have a sheen but this creates a beautiful glow to your skin.
I don't like to use this as a contour as I don't like shimmery products to contour with but this is perfect to bronze your face with.
Because it isn't amazingly pigmented I think this is perfect for those just starting with bronzer. You don't need to worry about accidentally applying too much yet you can build this up if you want.
I also like to use this as an eyeshadow if I am in a hurry and running out the door. It creates a lovely, subtle wash to your eyes.
I bought this for $5 at Kmart, got the lighter sun kissed colour and the darker one as well. I quite like them but they are a bit too shimmery for my liking. They appear a bit more matte in the pan than once you actually put it on your face. When applying, go lightly as it's very easy to put too much. One dab with a brush should be more than enough (especially with the darker colour).
I will use it again but probably more of a night time going out bronzer rather than everyday.
I have been using the same boring matte MAC bronzer for yonks and its coming to the end of its life span so I saw this on a surprisingly stocked KMART elf stand and thought I better grab it while I could..
I knew NOTHING about this product but what I am going to say is WOW..
First off $5 is insanity.. So cheap.
Secondly.. It is so beautiful. The pigment in this lil bronzer is to die for.. Its a perfect color for all skin tones and is totally blendable.. Its a dream to work with. I wondered how so many girls on MUO were getting such a beautiful healthy glow and then I realized upon applying this baby that this was the ticket..
My skin looked beautifully glowy, not orange.. Not glittery. Perfectly glowy. Its ideal for contouring despite its glow factor, its also a complimentary bronzed highlighter.. This baby right here is the golden ticket to perfectly glowy skin.. I am totally sold for life!
Tips: Its quite powdery when you put your brush into it so tap off the excess before applying. Use a decent blush brush preferably angle to apply this!
I purchased this is the shade St Lucia (The lightest shade available I think) and it's actually not a bad product (I had my reservations).
I have fair cool toned skin and find this bronzer doesn't appear overly orange or muddy on my skin. It does lean more to the orange side though.
I thought it would only be suitable as an all over bronzer as it has a satin finish (not shimmery but not matte either) but I tried a subtle contour with it and found it worked quite well, but don't think it would work for a defined contour as it would definitely be too orange on my fair skin. It is very light so only suitable for my fellow 'pasty white' girls out there.
It isn't very pigmented and I found I had to build it up a bit to get the natural glow I wanted but am happy with the subtle hint of colour it gives me and I find it less intimidating than really pigmented bronzers which you can easily overdo it with. I think this is great for right now, heading into the cooler months as I still want some colour but not that gorgeous summer glow that other bronzers give.
Since it is not super pigmented I think it would be a perfect bronzer for a beginner since it's pretty fail proof but build-able in terms of colour payoff and it's also super cheap.
I also tried this on my eyes as a crease and blending out colour and it worked great for that too (it was a bit harder to blend than your standard eye shadow). On the crease it was a warmer leaning light satin finish brown and I liked the effect.
It has a nice smooth feel on the skin and is a product I will continue to use.
