Maybelline Tattoo Brow 36hr Pencil

I really enjoyed reviewing this product in deep brown shade. It's alot different from a previous Maybelline brow pencil I tried that smudged. This product stays on and is smudge proof and you're basically good to go until you cleanse. The product itself is great, and worked well to make my thin eyebrows appear naturally fuller/ thicker. If there was a small improvement to be made it would be to make the brown cap on the end of the pencil tighter so it stays on as mine keeps falling off.

I love Maybelline so I was delighted to try this product.

It comes under plastic on a cardboard backing with Maybelline branding. For some reason, there was a gold sticker stuck over the instructions.

The product itself has a hard wire brush on one end, which is ideal for a brisk strong brush that gets my unruly brows back in place. On the other end, is the pigmented product which looks like a felt pin with a fatter tip.

The product is easy to apply, though my complete lack of artistic skills is obvious. So easy to apply even if my application isn't prefect. It is too dark for my pale skin and leaves me with a surprised look, but that isn't due to any fault in the pencil.

What I love about it is that it is easy to apply, easy to remove (if you make a mistake), and lasts the 36 hours, so it does what says it will. Once applied, it looks exactly the same as my friend's tattooed brows, only darker. At around $22 it is also a good price.

I highly recommend it.

I have just finished trying the Deep Brown as I have dark hair. At first I thought it was almost too dark for daytime but after some practice I have managed to get a look Im happy with. I used the brush to smooth it out and one eyebrow is slightly darker so needed an extra layer to even them up. It certainly stayed on all day with no touchups required, Im really happy with it and think I will need to hide it from my daughter or it might go walkies!

I really loved using this brow pencil. It gave super even pigment and a really natural brow colour and coverage. The spoolie is great too! They give great shape and my brows have never looked so good. My penciled brows survived a workout and they don't come off at all should you rub them. I wanted to test how long it would last on my brows, so I penciled in my brows in the morning and they stayed exactly how I penciled them all day long. I removed my makeup (minus the brows) and went to bed, sure enough in the morning they were mostly as I had done them, with a spoolie and slight touch up they were good to go. They definitely last the 36 hours plus more.

The only downside to this product is that there is not a huge amount of it so unsure that it would last too long as there's only 0.73g of product. I also imagine that the more you use it the more difficult it would be to use as the point will have ground down and it won't be as precise. Overall I would recommend this as it looks great and is quick and easy to do. It lasts a long time and looks very natural.

Very pigmented pencil. You don't have to press hard its a silky glide over the brows. Easy to control the pencil and also easy to wipe off your skin when you go overboard! The little wand at the end is a great finishing touch.

Thank you to BR for the opportunity to trial this product – if I had paid for it myself I would have been really annoyed about wasting my money! This is probably my first ever negative review about a Maybelline product – it is my go to makeup brand, so I was very disappointed!

The product itself is okay. The colour was kind of off – I have very dark eyebrows so I selected "dark brown", but it is definitely looks black when you apply it. I hate to think what the "black brown" shade looks like on! The product does go on nicely, is highly pigmented and has excellent staying power. However, you only get this result for the first couple of applications because as soon as you need to sharpen it it is useless.

The packaging of this pencil states that it is sharpenable, but it is in a hard plastic casing and the product itself is very soft, so when you go to sharpen it, it crumbles/breaks, rendering it completely useless. If it weren't for the brush at the other end which I am sure will come in handy, I would have just thrown it out right there and then.

Love this. So I get my brows hennaed which I’m obsessed with but once it starts wearing off between appts, I’ve never quite found the right brow pencil to help with those few days. But now. This is great. It’s got so much more staying power than other pencils I’ve used. Cute packaging and easy to sharpen.

Maybelline Tattoo Brow 36hr Pencil is high pigmented smooth gliding eyebrow pencil designed to last up to 36 hours.

The pencil, come with the pigment at one end and a spoolie at the other.

Personally I think the pencil would be better classed as a crayon, the formula was so creamy that it lacked the rigid application of a pencil and needed a bit more control to apply than I first expected. However the bonus of such a slip and slide formula was that there was absolutely no drag.

The spoolie was a nice touch to give people the option of better brushed or more natural looking brows. Most days I tend towards a sharper brow line, but I like having the choice to soften it.

The main thing I didn't like was that the pencil needed sharpening. With the materials the pencil packaging was made of and which such a creamy formula, a retractable option would have been much nicer looking and more user friendly. In fact I thought it was retractable until I realized I couldn't find anywhere to twist.

Colour-wise an excellent match for my brows. I opted for the soft brown which looked closer to a medium brown on my brows but didn't have the too dark and intense look that a lot of the darker browns do. In terms of wear, it wore all day without wearing or sliding off, but also left no residue when removed.

I was impressed with how well it wore.

I should really have invested in something like Maybelline’s Tattoo Brow 36HR Pigment Eyebrow Pencil way back! Up until now I’ve been filling in holes with eyeshadow and using vaseline and an old mascara to get things in place. I tried an old-school brown pencil once but decided it was useless.

I’ve been using the Maybelline Tattoo Brow 36HR Pigment Eyebrow Pencil in dark brown. Even when in a rush I can use small, light strokes fill in the gaps with the pencil whilst seeming precise and not making. My brows look really natural after smoothing things into place with the spoolie eyebrow tool on the end. They stay in place all day, the colour doesn’t fade and it washes off easily. Perfect that you can sharpen it as you need too, I’m truly loving this product!

First of all, this made me realise that I need to go and get my eyebrows threaded ASAP!! This is actually the first time that I have used an eyebrow pencil and I LOVED it! It was super easy to apply and I love the eyebrow brush at the opposite end of the pencil, amazing the differemce just that can make. It is a nice soft pencil that has really good coverage and is easy to use. The shade was absolutely perfeft for my brows and I was pleasantly surprised with the dramatic result I got. The packaging is nice, attractive, light and easy to use. It should last a reasomable time as the eyebrow colour does last a couple of days, unless of course you scrub it off by mistake in the shower, so it's not like you have to use it every single day. The price of this pencil is very reasonable for what you get and much cheaper than getting a regular tint at the salon and so quick and easy to use! I was very pleasantly surprised as I thought it would be harder to get this right but I got it perfect first time round and I will 100% be recommending this to my friends!
