L'Oreal Paris Brow Artist Xpert Review

I absolutely love this brow pencil! This will absolutely be my go to brow product from now on.

The retractable design is great. Simply wind the pencil up to the desired height, use, and then retract so the product is always protected. No more accidentally smooshing or knocking the end off as you put the lid on! Fantastic!

My favourite feature of the Brow Artist Xpert pencil is the unique triangular shape! It makes filling in my brows so much easier as the shape moulds to the natural shape of eyebrows. This has revolutionised my brow routine.

I found that the product went on smoothly and blended beautifully with the attached brow brush. Helps to fill in my natural brows while still looking completely natural. Wearing all day long, I found that the product was long lasting and did not smudge or wear off.

I absolutely recommend this product. Due to the simplicity of use and natural finish, it would also be perfect for someone who is knew to doing their own brows.

This is such a good eyebrow pencil. Instead of using many different products to get my brows looking just right, this one product does it perfectly! The pencil itself has a kind of triangle shape, which makes it really easy to use to create the most perfect hair like strokes. Also, having a brush on the other end makes it easy to blend the colour in. The results are really natural and it now takes me a lot less time to do my brows in the morning!

This is a very good eyebrow pencil, the consistency is smooth and and application is easy and it blends very well with the attached brush. The tip is triangular so that the thin side is used to create the brow shape, and the thick side of the tip is to colour in the brows. I found it just blends into one thick line for me so I would prefer a thinner tip for more precision. The longevity is great and my brows still looks good at the end of the day, and I have had no smudges after going to gym. The colour 109 Ebony is perfect for my dark brows and I don't feel the need to tint them anymore to improve my mousy brown. The the result I get from this pencil is great for the price and I would recommend this to other people because of the ease of use.

I feel very on the fence about this brow pencil. Firstly I really like the style of the pencil - the angled shape makes it really easy to fill in your brows precisely. The spooly on the end of the pencil is really handy to have as brushing through your brows after applying product is essential for me.

I did find that the colour of this pencil was a bit off. For a brunette shade I expected it to be slightly more neutral/cool, but it was a very warm colour that was almost orange. It didn't suit my brows at all and it looked very unnatural.

Lastly the thing that would make me not use this pencil again is that the product kind of pills up on my brows, and leaves little particles of colour in random places. I think the formula is slightly too soft so it comes off very easily when you use it. I think this has to be used with a very light hand to avoid the weird pilling that I got.

I will definitely be using this product again, but I think you should test the shade range in store since the brunette colour was very orange.

This is a great easy to use eyebrow pencil.

The formula is not too creamy but creamy enough that it does not take forever to fill in your brows. The wedge shapes tip allows you to do fine, delicate lines or larger lines to fill in quickly.

I love how you don't have to sharpen the pencil and that it comes with a spooly on the end. Very travel friendly.

Great brow product for both a beginner and more experienced make up enthusiasts.

This eyebrow pencil has a slanted tip making it easy to apply hair like strokes to give you a more natural look. Rather than using it to colour in my eyebrows, i did tiny hairlike strokes and defined my arches, then blended out with the brush, and they looked amazing.

I have quite sparse eyebrows and found this to be the most natural looking product i have tried to fill in my eyebrows.

i do wish the tip was slightly thinner, just to make for more precise definition.

it says 24 hour stay, i don't agree seems to start wearing off after about 6-9hours, maybe due to such humid weather?

Out of the five products that I was sent to trial this was the one I was the least excited about. I hardly ever use brow pencils anymore and prefer to use pomade or powder when I'm in a hurry (I like how they look better with pomade and it lasts me a lot longer than a pencil). I was pleasantly surprised with this though and will continue to use it regularly. I was sent the shade 108 Warm Brunette. It was, luckily, a perfect match for me.

The packaging is similar to other products like this, with the pencil on one end and a spoolie on the other. The lids on both ends fit well and won't pop off in makeup bags/drawers. It's easy to hold when applying the product.

I found the formula to be really creamy. It glides on smoothly and quickly and it's easy and quick to blend it with the spoolie, without moving all the product away. My brows looked very natural when I used this, but still filled them in nicely. I could also make them look more bold when I used more product. Even when used with a heavy hand, I didn't feel like it made my brows look crazy bold, which I think makes it good for beginners. It didn't smudge or fade during the day and looked the same as it did at the start of the day at the end.

The tip of the pencil is a triangular shape. One part works well to fill in and the top end of the triangle works well to create more small, defined lines. After only about three uses of this the shape of it rounded out and it wasn't as easy to create the small, defined lines. Not impossible, but not as easy. I still prefer this shape compared to small, round tips (like the anastasia beverly hills brow wiz) as it takes less time to fill my brows in.

Overall I think this is a really good brow pencil. It's quick and easy to do a good brow with this and I will continue to use it when I'm in a hurry when getting ready. I think the price of $23 is fair and would recommend picking this up if you are looking for a brow pencil. I also think it would be good for a beginner because of how easy and effortless it is to use.

I received the shade 109 Ebony as part of a BR trial. This retractable brow pencil was easy to hold and use with a standard spoolie brush on the other side to help blend and comb brow hair. The most distinctive feature of this pencil was the teardrop shape of the product, this meant I could be more precise with my application near the top and the widest part of the teardrop would be just like the usual brown pencil where I was filling in any gaps.

It’s a soft but sturdy pencil that glides very easily and feels more like a crayon than a pencil. Took me 2-3 tries before I get the hang of it - applying it with a lighter hand produces better results.

The brush on the other end is a thoughtful addition. It means I don’t need to hunt for a brush, especially when I’m in a rush to get out of the door. The brush is not too hard and not too soft either. Just right!

The colour I get (109 Ebony) is a deep dark brown that matches my black hair and my fair skin perfectly. I really like the colour, as I find black is too full on for me and most browns I’ve tried have too much red on it.

The only reason I’m giving less mark for this product is it doesn’t last 24 hours on me. Everything seems to slowly disappear, leaving nothing much by the end of a very long day.
