When I saw Mellow Cosmetics was at Farmers, I immediately jumped online and this caught my eye! The Mellow Brow Definers retail for $21 and comes in 6 shades so there's something to suit everyone.
The Mellow Brow Definer Pencil comes in a nice sleek box, which reminds me of ABH Brow Pencil boxes - this could definitely be a dupe! The actual pencil itself is in fairly standard packaging, with caps on either end. It comes with the brow pencil, obviously, and also a spooley which I like because it is short and the bristles aren't too long - for some reason I prefer spooleys that are like this. The pencil itself is triangular, which takes a bit to get used to but is really helpful in outlining and defining the brow. I chose the shade 'Mocha', which suits my brown hair perfectly. It's not too warm toned and not too cool toned either. This brow pencil is the perfect balance between waxy and creamy - it glides on smoothly but doesn't smudge and blend all over the place when I try to brush it out. This makes it stay in place all day when set with a clear or tinted brow gel. I find this brow pencil is perfect for when I'm short on time but still want a groomed brow look.
Overall I would definitely recommend this, especially if you are quite lazy with your brows and want a quick way to get groomed brows! It would be great for a beginner, as it is easy to use and also stays put all day.
I've been using wax and powder on my brows for as long as I can remember so was keen to try something else in the hope of reducing time spent on application. The colour mocha was a perfect fit for my fair/blonde complexion and the pencil has a wind up triangle shape tip so it’s easy to use to both define and full in. I loved the spooley brush on the other end which meant I could easily blend or fix any issues. The definer was non greasy and stayed perfect all day!. For $21 I'm sold!!
