Bvlgari Rose Essentielle Review

I picked this up for under $50 on nzsale. I have been after a winter perfume, which for me is usually Marc Jacobs Daisy. I don't like heavy musky scents and am a little picky about scents I like, so I made sure I checked out fragrantica for reviews prior to hitting the buy button. Well this beautifully elegant bottle arrived to me yesterday, and I am very happy. The shape of the bottle is very elegant, as is the gold lid with the rose coloured circle in the centre. The perfume is coloured a very subtle rose pink. Rose is most definitely the dominant scent for me, with a warm floral background. This dries down a little musky, but not overly so for somebody who is quite fussy about musk! It is a more mature perfume than I am used to, and I do think there is a little old lady powderiness to the scent after a while, which is the only reason why I am not giving it 5/5. It lasts better than any other perfume in my collection (probably since it is a little heavier), with one spritz lasting about 6-10 hours. I very much feel like a woman when wearing this.

It is a lovely floral fragrance, you can definitely smell the rose notes. It is quite sharp, a light spray on the main points does the trick. It seeps nicely into the skin blending beautifully with your natural smell. No need to freshen up during the day as the smell lingers, and I can often still smell it at bedtime.

My partner loves the smell and can always tell when I am wearing it. Perfect for those women who love a sharp, yet floral fragrance.

A Must have purchase for anyone who is in love with the Rose scent. This is a divine gorgeous perfume, lasts a long time on the body, even without layering. I have had my bottle for some time, and you only need to use a small amount to get the gorgeous scent.

I received a sample of this and enjoyed the freshness of the scent that smells gently like roses with a hint of berry. I found it to be so nice that I purchased a bottle when I saw it at a big bucket deals sale. It lasted most of the day on me which is longer than most perfumes I used and I think of this one as my trusty faithful "day" perfume that I can wear if I can't make up my mind what I want to wear. It's soft and alluring, in my opinion it's a spring/summer fragrance that speaks of gentle flowers kissing the breeze.

This has been described as a 'jammy rose' scent and I find that is accurate.

Whereas scents like Chloe Roses smell like real, freshly cut roses. Bvlgari Rose Essentielle is more of a perfume like quality.

It is a good scent and definitely more wearable than something like Perfumer's Workshop Tea Rose (which gives me a headache and smells unpleasant after a while).

It's just not a natural rose scent.

My review is for the EDP. The longevity of this is medium (a few hours) though I don't find the silliage to be that great.

I can smell this scent on others who wear it so maybe it just seems that way

It doesn’t have a “pure” rose scent that you normally smell on real roses. More like a Bvlgari version of rose, as it has the trademark “Bvlgari scent” that’s easily recognisable in their other fragrances. The scent is light and doesn’t last the whole day.

I’m not in love with it nor am I loving it. In my opinion it’s not really a stand out product from their collections.

This perfume is absolutely gorgeous! Long wearing and and amazing twist on a rose fragrance, very youthful and sultry

I love rose perfumes and this one is so unique. It's got the classic sweet rose notes but also a sharpness to cut through the sweetness. Perfect balance and would buy again. This perfume would be perfect for a night out/special event

I've worn this scent for several years now and regularly try new 'rose' perfumes as they come on the market. Nothing touches this one. It's what I'd call a 'dusky/musky' rose scent that hints of a sultry undertone. It's more warm than floral and not for those who are after a fresher, lighter perfume. I've worn it both day and night and it's become my signature.
