I brought the most recent beauty box which to my delight featured this contouring brush. I find this brush is hard and the bristles are too compact for my liking which leaves one straight contouring line on your face and doesn't blend well. It's helpful for getting the shape you want although i find you find yourself using this brush in conjunction with a couple of others to create a more natural look.

I was rather pleased to see a brush in the last BRBB and got into straight away. It's a nicely shaped and sits in your hand well.
I have found it not to be my favourite for contouring as the bristles are quite short and dense, in my opinion I prefer something with a bit more "fluff" to it as I find that easier to distribute and blend the contour powder on my cheekbones. My end result was a bit harsh looking for my taste.
What I have found it better for is applying foundation and will continue to use it for that.
For its price tag it's not a bad brush, just not for me. I feel it would be best suited to someone just starting out with make-up who doesn't have a great deal of money to spend on brushes that they aren't sure whether they will get much use out of.
It seemed to wash up pretty well and that's encouraging. No shedding and it dried well.
Sorry Cameo, I won't be re-purchasing.
I had received the Cameo contour brush in the recent BRBB and I was delighted to try this. It is quite compact for a brush, it has a silver handle and has slanted bristles. I was interested at how dense this brush was and wondered how it would go with applying my makeup.
I found it hard to use when I used powder contour kits, the brush would pick up the product with ease but applying it evenly was a hard task. I would be left with patches all over my skin, and blending the products out would either make them look muddy or patchy.
I really liked how dense this brush was and started using it to cream contour which I found so much easier to do! Using the angled tip to precisely products and blending it out was so much easier than using powder.
I also found this did a great job at applying liquid foundation, the brush is small but compact so you focus on small amounts of your face. It leaves a really flawless application.
Overall I would repurchase this brush but only for cream contouring or applying foundation. Using this brush to apply powdered contour was near impossible for me!
I got this from the beauty vault and fell in love with it from the first moment I used it.
The brush is so soft on the face that it actually entices you to use it. The brush is angled for contouring and moves across the skin smoothly and distributes powder evenly. In terms of size, the brush is a similar size to my powder brush with sleeker bristles. And it is easy to hold.
The packaging was also really neat. On the back piece of cardboard, instructions on how to contour were included. I thought this was really handy and I will keep this piece of cardboard in my draw with the brush.
The one thing I did notice, was that I seemed to use it as a full face brush, not just a contouring brush.
I was very excited to pick this up in the latest Beauty Vault. The product comes in the classic pink cardboard Cameo packaging. The brush itself looks sleek, and not cheap at all, with a metallic silver handle. The bristles feel quite dense and of a good quality. I found this made contouring with powder products quite easy, I often struggle with getting the perfect cheekbone contour, but this brush was so precise it made it easy to get the contour in the right place, and this blends well. I also found this great for applying powdered blush and highlighter. I used to always end up with my highlighter in the wrong place, but this very easily applies highlighter with no mess. This however doesn't wash well due to the density of the bristle. I used my regular brush shampoo to clean this, and the brush took 3 days to dry, despite the 25 degree eat, and the bristles felt sticky afterwards, despite being washed thoroughly. This brush is very affordable, and I would consider purchasing more brushes from the Cameo range in the future, as I was impressed with the performance of this one.
I was lucky enough to get it from the Beauty Box. First off it looks very professional, sleek and clean, With a silver handle and soft slanted bristles
I first tried this for contouring as thats what the brush is stated for. I found it picked up wet and dry products easily but I couldn't seem to apply it evenly. No matter how much I buffed I seemed to have patches where too much product would be left or none at all.
I would still use this to apply the product as the angled bristles help define lines but I would buff with another brush to make it look a little more natural.
I have used this as a foundation brush and found this worked a little better. I still needed to use my fingers a little to blend the foundation in.
Over all I think this would be a good brush for a beginner or someone who doesn't want to spend to much money.
I got this in the September BRBB along with alot of other beauties I am sure. I had never tried Cameo brushes before so this was going to be an experience. I was hoping one of love and adoration but unfortunately it was not to be.
I have seen the many items, including brushes in the Warehouse before but never really paid it any attention. I am glad that I got to try it before I buy it. The brush is actually quite gorgeous in its own simple way. First off let's talk about the pink packaging....all the yes's in the world are being screamed by my girly side! The brush is a faded grey/silver colour and the bristles are very soft and sturdy feeling which I love in a good brush.
Contouring and I are not really friends because I can't for the life of me get it right. Not even a little bit. I had to test drive this baby though to see if value for money is better than the high end brushes out there. The packaging and look can already get a big tick!
I was surprised that there was minimal fall out even with using powder contour palettes. I found that the sturdiness continues throughout the application but very quickly it begins to malt. There were trails of fibres all over my face from the first use. I have to use the hair dryer on cool to get them off even then there were a couple of stubborn ones. I thought it may have been a first off because of it being new and unused. Yeah, nah it continues on and makes my face itchy. I changed it up and bought a cream contour kit which helped keep the fibres in check but not completely.
Over all I am really disappointed with this brush. Yes is contours pretty well with minimal fallout but the malting gets me everytime. I would rather spend four times that and get a proper brush for the job that won't let me down.
Tips: Use a cream contour kit to help keep malting to a minimum
Soft, yet firm brush, easy instructions on the back of the packet for application of bronzer and highlighting. This is great for someone like me who is new to highlighting and contouring.
I have found the brush to apply my bronzer and highlighters. It was a bit tricky to blend, but I am getting there.
I have had no problems with hairs falling out of the brush and am finding it washes well with a little brush shampoo.
Personally I wouldn't use this brush for contouring because I didn't like how it looked. But this is perfect for applying and buffing liquid foundations.
The packaging was quite simple, but for the price you may it looks quite sophisticated I guess. I brought mine for $5 each because they normally are $10 but The Warehouse has 'buy one get one free' offers very often.
This is one of my most used foundation brushes so when there's a sale going on I tend to stock up because I procrastinate with washing brushes which isn't ideal and also because I gift these brushes to family and friends as part of a birthday gift.
I have yet to try some more brushes in the Cameo range. Hopefully I will enjoy them as much as this brush.
Tips: Better for applying and buffing liquid foundation rather than contouring.
I've never had a brush like this before. I mainly use it to apply and blend highlighter and blush. Its definately better than a normal 'blush brush' as it gives you a little more control over application. It has short bristles but a lot of them and it gives a really nice coverage. I'd certainly buy another one, have really enjoyed using it. :-)
Tips: First time users go easy and apply more as you go otherwise you will end up with distinct lines from your product.
