CeraVe Blemish Control Gel

I have used this Blemish Control Gel for a few weeks now. It helped minimise the appearance of my acne spots. Some mornings after using the gel at night time, my skin felt a little heavy, like I needed to wash it off, however I may have used too much product at the time. Overall a really good product that I would recommend.

I initially thought this was a spot treatment but after reading the directions of use I discovered it’s supposed to be used all over the face. I was a bit nervous about this as I’m quite sensitive to acids in my routine. This contains beta hydroxy acids to help with acne and alpha hydroxy acids to help exfoliate and smooth the skin. The first few times I used it I didn’t notice any tingling but the more I used it I seemed to become more sensitive. I have started using it on specific areas of my face (where I am breaking out) and it has been working well. My pimples aren’t as red and inflamed the next day and seem to disappear a lot quicker. I would recommend this to anyone with acne but maybe build up from a spot treatment to all over the face. The packaging is great, it’s a squeezy tube and the tube itself is quite big so definitely value for money.

after cleansing with the cerave Blemish Control Cleanser I'd apply this and it's very light and smell free no reactions on my sensitive skin I quite often get allergic reactions to skin products but not with this I had no acne during the testing period so can't say if it helps with that but would use both products again when I have a breakout. easy to apply don't need much these products have been well made to not need heaps so bare that in mind.. I think I've seen some improvement in my skin tone but may still be a bit early

This product works so well with the blemish control cleanser. I have never used a product like this in a preventative manner. Usually I use a spot cream after it's too late, but this seems like the perfect roadblock to blemished skin. I was a little bit concerned that it would dry my skin out, however it has lots of skin loving ingredients and I didn't feel like it was drying things out too much. I would still use a moisturiser however. Perhaps if you were to use this on it's own it may make some dryer areas of your skin dry out, but I haven't actually tried this to see. When I use this I only use a pretty tiny amount which seems to go a long way. This is a tidy little tube that easily fits anywhere for those little emergencies or to take on holiday, which is always super handy. If this product keeps working well the way it is, I'd be keen to keep using it!

Made my skin break out more than has in ages, lots of white heads and red spots where i think they are going to be. No other noticeable change.

I have been using the CeraVe Blemish Control Gel for a couple of weeks now, and I have found that it has really helped to clear up and prevent new breakouts. I have sensitive skin and found that the Gel did not cause any irritation. It’s a gentle yet effective formula that hydrates the skin, rather than drying it out.

When I started using the product I had a couple of small pimples on my face, which cleared up quickly and my face has continued to stay clear and healthy since I started using both the CeraVe Blemish Control Gel and CeraVe Blemish Control Cleanser. Over the years, I have spent a fair amount of money purchasing and trying a lot of different products to stop/get rid of breakouts. I found that this Gel works well on my small breakouts, but I am yet to try it on larger breakouts (e.g. Cystic acne).

The Gel is a good size and a really affordable product. You get 40ml, which should last a while, as I found that a little goes a long way. The Gel is fragrance free, which is a huge positive for me, as I personally prefer products that have a mild or no fragrance.

Overall I was really happy with the product, and would recommend it to anyone with blemish prone skin.

Fragrance free, goes on smoothly and absorbs fast. Made my skin feel soft after application and didn’t dry it out which I was surprised. I used this in the evening after the cleanser as recommend and I found it works well as a combo. Small application hole that’s handy as you don’t need to much to go a long way. I noticed after a week the difference in my pores and blemishes. Would recommend to others and I will continue to purchase myself.

I enjoyed using this product - I used this in conjunction with the cleanser from the same line, and I really noticed a difference in how quickly it made a couple of small blemishes I was battling clear up. I used this as more of an area/spot treatment rather than a full facial gel, and didn't notice that it dried out the patches of skin it was used on or anything like that, which was nice. It's always hard to pinpoint one product that helps clear a blemish up, but I enjoyed using this one and will be keeping it on hand for the next little breakout!

Unfortunately this missed the mark for me, I had 2 small breakouts while trialing this product and unfortunately it didn't appear to lessen either of them.

I did however opt to only apply the gel to the problem areas on my face rather than my entire face, as I often find targeted acne treatments to be a bit too harsh for use on the entire face if you don't require it. My chin was the area of concern this time and I applied it to my chin nightly but I did not see a reduction in my breakouts.

I did however find this product to be a lot more gentle than similar ones on the market. It wasnt harsh or drying, which often puts me off similar products, but perhaps that is also why I didnt see success. I think I'll keep giving this a go and see if I have any luck.

I found the CeraVe Blemish Control gel really easy to incorporate into my morning routine. It comes in a 40ml tube. The gel is clear and light making it really easy to apply. It is odourless which is great for those with sensitive skin. My 13 year old son also tried this as he has started having breakouts - he found it did work and paired well with the Blemish Control Cleanser. We both felt it made our faces feel less oily and felt more fresh. My son and I used this for a little over a week and we did find the breakouts were more controlled and less angry looking. It made our skin feel fresh and clean and did appear to prevent breakouts. It also aided in reducing the oily skin. My son being a teen, prefers to use the gel instead of both the Cleanser and the gel combined. He prefers the spot application instead of the full face wash from the Cleanser. I perfer to use both as I like to wash my whole face to help prevent and also to attack the blemishes already present.
