CeraVe Hyaluronic Acid Serum

This serum is different to other serums I've used. It is more like a cream than a gel or liquid. It definitely made my skin feel nice and soft, but I can't say it really made my skin anymore hydrated. I couldn't find on the box or the product, how much Hyaluronic Acid was actually in it. It was however quite nice to use as a hand cream. I don't think I'd purchase it myself as I think there are better products on the market and maybe an older skin needs a little more oopmh than what this product had to offer.

This serum is amazing! I've been slacking on my skincare lately because uni has been so busy, but this has done wonders for me.

The packaging is so easy to use, I love the pump because it's faster and more hygienic than a jar, and it dispenses the perfect amount of product.

The texture is nice, not too heavy and soaks into the face quickly. My skin felt immediately more hydrated and it has definitely been feeling softer lately.

The price is definitely reasonable for the results in my opinion. Highly recommend!

I have dry to normal skin, and use a serum morning and night.

I was quite surprised when I received this product how small the bottle was (30ml), which is a standard sized serum bottle...BUT this product isn't, in my opinion, like any serum I've used before. The serum is not thin/runny like other serums, it is more like a thick soft cream. It felt like I was putting on two moisturisers, as opposed to a serum then moisturiser..this is like a barrier cream I guess (the packaging uses the words "reinforce the protective skin barrier").

However I did find this product does absorb within a minute or two like other serums. I found one full push down of the pump gives me the right amount of coverage for my face, half a pump wasn't enough, pump & a bit was too much. The product is non-scented which is great for people who don't like scented products but in my opinion it did have an ever so slight smell..like a medical smell (if ya know what I mean).

The bottle is solid plastic, it feels very travel friendly and would have no issues if you dropped it. It's slightly annoying I can't see the product inside so I have no idea how much product I've used and when I need to think about buying a new serum. It seems like this product wouldn't last long given how much product I need to use.

In terms of results, unfortunately I haven't noticed any difference to my skin other then feeling smooth straight after application. I always felt like I needed to apply a more hydrating moisturiser after, this serum didn't really give me any hydration.

This product really does make skin feel soft instantly, so it delivers on its promise there. It is more like a moisturizer than a serum, lightweight in texture and absorbs quickly into skin. My skintype is dry to normal, since using I havnt had any dryness. I prefer some kind of fragrance in my cosmetics, it makes the skincare routine more memorable. If you don't like fragrance, then this is perfect for you! Works well as a midlayer product between cleansing and moisturizer or nightcream. Wears well under makeup. Good price point and value for money.

There were some things I liked about this product but overall I found it wasn't as hydrating as I'd hoped. The packaging is excellent, really easy to use and get the product out, and it's a nice size, not too unweildy. It pumps a nice amount out, and keeps light and air out of the tube really well. I also loved how gentle it was on the skin, with no reactions or uncomfortable feeling (my skin is quite sensitive). It was a bit like giving my skin a nice gentle moisturiser. However, the downside for me was I just felt it wasn't as hydrating as I hoped it would be. After consistent use, I didnt see a huge improvement in dryness which I was hoping for. However it certainly didn't dry my skin out or anything, but it felt more like a simple moisturiser rather than what I'd consider a potent serum.

I was lucky enough to be chosen to trial this CeraVe serum. I am a fan of their products as CeraVe is great for sensitive skin, so I was excited to try this serum.

The CeraVe Hyaluronic Acid Serum comes in a cardboard box branded in CeraVe’s blue and white colours. The serum and its purpose are described in several different languages on the box. In English the serum says that it “Replenishes hydration and locks in moisture, while helping to restore and reinforce the protective skin barrier”. It also states that it contains: “3 essential ceramides & vitamin B5”. Under the Directions it says that it can be applied daily, and that it “Can be used alone, or layered under moisturiser”. Inside the box is a 30ml plastic pump bottle also branded in blue and white.

My skin is very dry so it is important for me to be able to lock in moisture and keep my skin hydrated. For that reason I chose to apply the serum once a day underneath my night cream before bed. The serum itself is white but goes on clear. It has no scent. It is not runny like most serums, but instead has the texture and consistency of a cream. The pump is easy to use, and I did not have to use much product to cover my face.

I have used this serum every night for the past two weeks. It has not irritated my skin at all and has been pleasant to apply. It blends into my skin well and absorbs into the skin quickly. It has been easy to layer it under my night cream. When I wake up my skin feels soft and plump. Altogether I enjoyed using this serum. CeraVe is a great brand designed with sensitive skin in mind. I will continue using this once the trial is over.

I really enjoyed using this serum. In winter, my skin can get a bit dry, so I do need to use more moisturising products (I have normal - oily skin normally). It is so light weight, feels like a dream on the skin, and I didn’t break out or have any adverse reactions! Sometimes at night, I would use this on its own (normally would layer another moisturiser over a serum) and I still felt hydrated and plump. It also goes well underneath any type of moisturiser - SPF, thicker night creams, water based products. Overall I am extremely happy with this product!

Personally I found this serum to be similar to other serums for me and my (normal) skin type, my skin did feel softer immediately after using it but the same happens if I used another brand serum.

I also didn’t feel that it provided any more hydrated after immediate use and have only been using 1-2 times a day for the past two weeks so can’t comment if my skin feels any smoother after 4 weeks of use.

Overall I did enjoy using but probably wouldn’t go out to buy a replacement when I have finished this one as I feel there are other ones that we also does the job.

I’ve been buying CeraVe products for a while now for my daughter who’s got sensitive skin so I already know how awesome they are. Coincidentally I was going to buy the hyaluronic serum and the face moisturiser to use myself when I got selected for this trial - so I only bought the CeraVe moisturiser. I’ve been using both as part of my skin care daily routine for nearly two weeks now and the result is amazing. I have dry skin which is worse during winter. But I’ve noticed an overall improvement in my skin suppleness, texture and health after daily use of this serum. I normally apply it to cleansed & pat dried face, followed by the moisturiser of the same brand and then sunscreen in the morning and night mask in the evenings. Overall very happy with the product and continue to use - keen to see what it does me my skin after long term use.
