CeraVe SA Smoothing Cream

I absolutely love this cream so much! It has helped with my ugly cracked heals, which now feel so soft, I was so sceptic at first, but Wow! I have repurchased this cream as well as the cleanser again, I can not fault this product! An absolute winner x

Okay, so I wanted this originally to help reduce the chicken-skin type bumps I have on the back of my legs. While I can’t say whether or not it will reduce that in time, this is still hands down the best moisturiser I have found. I have very very dry skin on my whole body, and I’m also a regular fake tanner, and usually my tan will look nice for maybe 3-4 days before it cracks like lizard skin because of my dryness. I’ve been lathering my whole body in this moisturiser after showering and my tan is still looking fresh well over a week later!! It’s totally unscented which is fine by me, and unlike other moisturisers where I could use a whole bottle and still be dry an hour later, this stuff seriously locks in the moisture and even the next day before I shower I can feel the hydration in my skin WITHOUT that awful greasy layer some moisturisers give. I’ve had none of my usual dry itchiness, my skin is smooth and my tan looks so fresh. My one and only thing i would change is I would love if it came in a pump bottle like the cleanser, rather than a squeeze tube, but that’s just me being picky. I will 100% be repurchasing this!

Coming out of the winter months I've started thinking about moisturising so I don't step out with scaly looking limbs in Spring, so I was happy to receive the CeraVe SA Smoothing Cream to review.

In a nutshell, it's an opaque, white, thick cream that comes in an easy to use squeeze tube. The scent is pretty much non-existent.

I initially tried this on my face but found it too thick and gluggy feeling, so decided to use it on my body post-shower.

While initially a little sticky on the skin, it sank in quickly and did a great job moisturising. I can't say that I've noticed any obvious smoothing of my lumps and bumps, but my skin became much more hydrated much more quickly when compared to other moisturisers I use, and for that I would reach for this again.

This was fine on application, but it left the most horrible oily residue on my skin and I could still feel it 24 hours later. Didn't notice any difference to my skin, just felt greasy. Wouldn't use again.

I'm in love with this. Just as I am with the Smoothing Cleanser. I think in combination, these are a dream. My skin responds well to salicylic acid and I'm glad it's in this. It's been helping reduce my acne and KP. My skin is significantly smoother and clearer. This cream has such a lovely consistency. It is hydrating without being heavy and it dries with an almost blurring effect on the face. I haven't worn full makeup over this yet, so I'm not sure how it wears, but I have high hopes with the matte and blurring finish of the cream. I'm excited to keep using these products.

I've been using this smoothing cream for a week for the keratosis pilaris on my upper arms. It is a thick and nourishing cream that absorbs but leaves a protective barrier. When I get into the shower 24 hours later and my arms get wet they become slick as the smoothing cream is still there, protecting and moisturising; it doesn't just absorb and disappear. There is no greasy after effect after applying it. But best of all, in just one week I have noticed a distinct reduction in dryness, bumps, and roughness of my skin. I'm excited to have found products that can help with this problem as nothing else has made a difference, as I have it quite bad on my upper arms and behind my shoulders. Will continue to use it, and I'm sure it will get even better, which is great as summer is coming up and I'll want to bare my arms. Would highly recommend.

I've been using this in conjuction with the Smoothing Cleanser, and it's made such a difference with the KP I have on my upper arms and thighs. I definitely recommend it!

Great product - I brought this for hydration and exfoliation - it’s thick, hydrating and makes my skin look great. Gets rid of super dry looking skin and helps with KP. I would happily repurchase. I think I’ll try the cleanser next for my body.

I've been using this on my skin as my chemo and radiation treatments have really dried out my skin.

It's fragrance free so doesn't irritate if you are sensitive to fragrance.

Nice and thick but not greasy and doesn't clog up your pores

It feels nice and moisturised. Definitely noticed the difference in the dryness of my skin.

I love the SA cleanser and love this moisturiser just as much. I have oily congested skin and this moisturiser is so hydrating and thick but not heavy, the salicylic acid in it exfoliates your dead dry skin away and clears congestion. So it’s an amazing product. It is abit of a different texture, more on the dry side and it does dry on the skin very quickly.
