CeraVe SA Smoothing Cream

I suffer from bad eczema. Since covid with all the hand washing and sanitizer I have got dermatitis on my hands that I haven't been able to get rid of for 2years now. I have literally tried every cream and steroid cream you can imagine.

I was impressed with this hand cream. I have it next to the sink so after I wash my hands I use it as this is when my hands are at the worst.

I used it a lot the 1st few days and I was home more and I did notice the dry flakey skin improved. They did feel more hydrated. They were also less 'angry' looking. Some parts disappeared all together! Win!

However when I went back to work and was only using this morning and night I wasn't doing as well. I think going forward I need to have it with my during the day also.

I tried this cream on my legs and arms also. I would recommend doing this at night. This is because it creates a barrier layer on the skin. It makes it extremely difficult to pull up gym tights haha! It also transfers white marks onto black clothing.I changed to using this at night and it worked well.

Overall made my skin feel smoother. I am definitely keen to keep using this product as early signs are positive.

I quite liked this one - I used it all over! I’m not sure about the exfoliating part but I definitely found it to be a nice light cream that left my skin feeling moisturized!

Okay, so I wanted this originally to help reduce the chicken-skin type bumps I have on the back of my legs. While I can’t say whether or not it will reduce that in time, this is still hands down the best moisturiser I have found. I have very very dry skin on my whole body, and I’m also a regular fake tanner, and usually my tan will look nice for maybe 3-4 days before it cracks like lizard skin because of my dryness. I’ve been lathering my whole body in this moisturiser after showering and my tan is still looking fresh well over a week later!! It’s totally unscented which is fine by me, and unlike other moisturisers where I could use a whole bottle and still be dry an hour later, this stuff seriously locks in the moisture and even the next day before I shower I can feel the hydration in my skin WITHOUT that awful greasy layer some moisturisers give. I’ve had none of my usual dry itchiness, my skin is smooth and my tan looks so fresh. My one and only thing i would change is I would love if it came in a pump bottle like the cleanser, rather than a squeeze tube, but that’s just me being picky. I will 100% be repurchasing this!

I love this stuff! I'm only my second tube now and have been using consistently for the past month or so.

I originally purchased this to help with Keratosis Pilaris on my upper arms and I'm also prone to 'Bimples' so I've been using it on my butt and thighs as well.

There's a marked difference in the places I've been using it and my skin just feels nicer. I'm sure the moisturing is helping as well, but having a leave on product is doing the world of good.

It's great that it doesn't seem to aggravate my already aggravated skin. No scrubbing and exfoliating needed, although I'm sure that helps.

The product is quite thick and relatively heavy. I personally don't think I would use it on my face, it feels more of a body product. It rubs in really well and you can definitely tell when it's been used because my skin feels smoother.

All in all I'm a fan and highly recommend.

I liked this product as it was surprisingly dense/thick in texture while also being light to apply. Fragrance free is a bonus and my skin feels like there is a protective layer added from the cream and isn't oily. There is a tingling reaction on my skin, in a good way. particularly around the T-zone (cheek/ nose). After a week I don't see a visible difference in appearance yet, but skin feels great after using the product. Does what the packaging says which is softens and smooths rough skin. Will definitely try this when I have an eczema flare up.

Used in conjunction with the CeraVe SA Smoothing Cleanser, so difficult to say whether this product alone was effective, or the combination of the Cleanser and Cream.

I use this on my body- arms, legs, tummy and even my booty. It leaves skin feeling soft and smooth, so definitely does what I expected it to do. I use it daily after showering, and if I'm going to be shaving my legs that night I'll also put some on when I get home from work. I've noticed that doing this helps give a closer shave and reduces irritation from shaving, so that's been great.

The only issue I have with this product is that it has a strange smell to it. I can't even describe it or put my finger on it really, but my husband has mentioned it too. To combat this at night I use a lavender linen spray on the bedding each night so as to not have it distract us from relaxing and being able to fall asleep.

I've not used it on my face though as I have other products for that. Despite the unusual smell, I have repurchased it, and will continue to do so until I find one that does the same thing, but without the smell.

I really liked this product, it had a great thick texture and no scents/purfumes etc. I used it on my neck + chest, as well as arms and backs of thighs where I tend to get rough\ bumpy skin.

This cream definitely smoothed and soothed my skin and felt very nice to have on. It’s super thick but applies and soaks in well without leaving a cast. Because it is so thick, I didn’t feel comfortable using it on my face, and preferred to stick with body.

I had a look online and see the price seems very reasonable, the product goes far and I think the tube will last me a while.

The packaging is basic, not as ‘pretty’ as other brands but I feel it would appeal to broad range of ages. I would have liked this more in a pump bottle but assume it it probably to thick to pump out.

Overall, I saw and felt an improvement in the texture of my skin and I think with continued use it will be even better. I would recommend this to anyone struggling with dry and bumpy skin as it is a great price and worked for my skin, so can’t hurt to give it a go.

Love that this is a desant size moisturizer. I used it on both my face and body and found it to worked well to smooth and moisturize rough dry irritated areas such knees and elbows. The consistancy of the product I found to be quite a firm cream and on application felt smooth and soothing. I have quite bad eczema on my arms and lathering this moisturizer on after showering with the cleanser has really helped illiminate roughness and smooth the feel of my skin. Would buy this in the future.
