It was suggested to me by local pharmacy as I was having ongoing acne problems. I stopped using my face moisturiser & used this cleanser along with their face & body moisturiser. After a month I introduced another face cream while still using this cleanser twice a day. I can honestly say that my skin is looking much better & feeling better. It feels lovely and silky to put on face and doesn't leave my skin feeling dry. I don't really wear much makeup but do use sunblock every day & I feel it cleans my skin well. I highly recommend this cleanser for anyone who wants to calm there skin.

Reviews
I have been using Cetaphil Cleanser for at least the past two years and it is awesome! I previously had very acne prone skin and while I had to go on medication for this, Cetaphil was perfect! It absolutely NEVER irritated my skin, and that's saying something! It is next level of gentle and is a savior used by everyone in my family all day everyday. The only small issue I have is that it is not great at removing makeup. To be fair is does only say removes light makeup, but I find its hard just to get my days BB cream off, so definitely recommend you use a remover with it as well if you were wearing makeup.
Tips: Use it with water for best results and remove makeup before cleansing (not a great removing)
I was given this by my doctor to help with acne but it didn't change anything.
The only good thing about it is that it's gentle but you may as well only clean your skin with water. I have sensitive skin but it only affected by a little amount of products or things I'm allergic to (obviously). I'd only recommend it if you had intensely sensitive skin and wasn't sure what causes it.
It doesn't do anything really and smells very odd like the dentist. The packaging is flat and large too.
The price overall is just a bit much for something that does nothing...
This is heaven sent for those with sensitive skin, or have super dry skin. Thankfully now after many years of correctly treating my combination skin I no longer use this, but I do highly recommend it to others.
My experience was that I used products that would leave my face blotchy and itchy, with flaky dry patches and angry spots in others. Using Cetaphil for a few months saw my skin balance itself, along with the use of aloe vera as moisturiser.
It very gently cleans, but cleans deep enough to prevent break outs, without stripping natural oils from your skin so it remains hydrated and prevent dryness.
I thank Cetaphil for giving me the complexion I now live and love with.
right, so i'll tell you straight out that i'm lazy when it comes to washing my face and removing makeup. i want to go from makeup to no-makeup in one step...hence the need for a good face wash. and this one doesn't do it for me. it feels like I'm "washing" my face with moisturiser. i don't have sensitive skin so i don't "need" this, and i just find it's not what i want from a face WASH =D
I use the Cetaphil cleanser for oily and acne-prone skin, and it's the best cleanser I've used so far. Gentle enough for my dry patches and sensitive areas (e.g. under the eyes) whilst being strong enough to help clear my acne :)
Tips: Try using it on the body too, it's helped the mild acne on my arms, neck, and decolletage.
Love this product. One of the only facial cleansers I can use which helps to clear my skin while being gentle enough not to aggravate my sensitive skin issues. The only fault I have would be that it doesn't remove make up well and I would often need to use another product to remove my make up first.
Despite being a gentle cleanser, the Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser contains sodium lauryl sulfate - one of the harshest surfactants around. If you're someone who is concerned about parabens, it also has 3 of the parabens on the "dirty dozen" list.
It doesn't clean off any make up or sunscreen. It feels gentle when I use it but my skin gets worse if I try to use it long term. It also leaves a filmy residue on my face.
There are much better options out there for cleansers that don't have such harmful ingredients and do a much better job cleaning your face.
I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. If you have extremely sensitive skin, you're probably better off using water.
Tips: Try to find a cleanser that is better for your skin long term
I don't like it very much i felt it had a slimy texture to it and didn't find it foamed up more just smearing it over my face it didn't really take my make up off very well.
It Doesn't have much of a smell to it, when I haven't had makeup on it has left my skin feeling cleaner but slightly tighter feeling.
All in all I'm not a fan but I'm sure the kids will end up using the rest of it when I'm not looking. I think because of the packaging and price I think it would be a good family face wash if you had younger ones.wantkng to get into skin care
I've used this product for a while now on and off. The price isn't too bad and a little goes a long way which means it lasts for a while. It's gentle on my skin and i like the way my skin feels after i've used it. Great for those on a budget, with sensitive skin and those starting out getting into a skin routine.
