for my oily acne prone skin ,i feel it does not clean enough at all ,it s like a lotion rubbing on skin without any foam, then i used it as my child's face wash and it works well .

Reviews
How else can I describe this other than with lack luster terns of fine and ok. I was recommended Cetaphil by friends when I was struggling with acne and angry skin. And while this cleanser is gentle and didn't agitate my skin further, I also didn't really see any improvement in my acne as promised. I finished the bottle but didn't bother buying again. While the price, size and accessibility is good, I moved onto to something else looking for better results.
I used this cleanser in the oily skin formula as I was recommended it for treating acne. I feel that it did somewhat improve my blemishes, but not to an amazing extent. This product claims to remove light make up however it didn't remove make up thoroughly so I was having to use a cleansing oil, a cleanser for removing an residue make up and then the Cetaphil. The product itself smelt like chemicals and did feel relaxing or fresh to apply. I simply felt like an acne treatment. After reading the ingredients list I have now switched to more natural based skincare that has improved my skin in the short term and long term. The Cetaphil cleanser is not a bad product, there are simply better alternatives.
Tips: Remove your make up prior to using Cetaphil.
I was really disappointed with Cetaphil everyone claims to love it so I went all out and bought the largest pump bottle and I was pretty distraught after finding out how allergic I am to this so called 'hypoallergenic cleanser'. I also find the texture quite strange, its slimy kind of gel like (and doesn't foam which I appreciate) but it doesn't seem to remove makeup well at all and it doesn't completely wash off either - it leaves an almost tacky film behind which my skin seems to not like whatsoever and I broke out all over my face and neck in hives. Overall I would personally not recommend and my ultra sensitive skin prefers good old Ponds cold cream over this. Mind you I am also very allergic to another recommended product for us sensitive skin folks (Aqueous Cream) which is very weird as it is such a benign product.
Tips: Get a sample if you are ultra-sensitive before committing to a large bottle!
This is a super gentle clenser and helps minimise acne, i love trying new products especially anything that would minimise my acne, however I myself have quite oily skin and it didn't help me with that issue so I stopped using it. I think it is best suited for people with normal/dry/combination skin rather than oily perhaps, but everyone is different and that is how this product suited me.
I had heard many good things about this product aiming towards acne prone skin . It retailed for 20.99 when I purchased it from the supermarket , which I was a little hesitant to spend that much. I used it for at least 3 months but found it dry out my skin , and left it feeling irritated. It did not do any thing for me other than remove makeup easily. I wouldn't purchase it again personally , I have found success in much cheaper products.
I used this because my pharmacist recommended it. I get dermatitis and eczema so I thought this would be a great alternative to soap. I didn't react to it, which is great but I did find it extremely greasy and I could feel it still sitting on my skin from one shower to another.
When i first heard of this cleanser it sounded great to me, pH balanced , gentle , non comedogenic etc. I feel like this product gets hyped up way to much simply because it is recommended by dermatologists. This cleanser done nothing for me, there are defiantly way better ones out there. At the point when i used this i had cystic acne and this cleanser dried my whole face. I will probably never buy another cetaphil product as it just seemed like a waste of money to me :(
This cleanser was so incredibly drying! It has a nice amount of foam and lather but after rinsing it off my skin was very tight. After a less then a month of continuous use once a day I noticed severe dry patches on my nose, cheeks and chin. I can infact say it does a good job cleansing but also stripping your face of all natural oils. My skin slowly recovered after I stopped using the cleanser.
Tips: If you have dry skin don't use it in winter or at all
I don't like it very much i felt it had a slimy texture to it and didn't find it foamed up more just smearing it over my face it didn't really take my make up off very well.
It Doesn't have much of a smell to it, when I haven't had makeup on it has left my skin feeling cleaner but slightly tighter feeling.
All in all I'm not a fan but I'm sure the kids will end up using the rest of it when I'm not looking. I think because of the packaging and price I think it would be a good family face wash if you had younger ones.wantkng to get into skin care
