I have eczma and very sensitive, dry skin. This product is suitable even for my face. In fact - my mum was recommended it by a dermatologist as a gentle, caring and effective facial cleanser, over more expensive products. I have never reacted to it and it doesn't dry out my skin. I continue to use and love it.

Tips: Replace your facial cleanser (and body wash) with this gentle formula.
I love this cleanser so so much. When I was studying I began having a lot of breakouts due to stress, it was awful, I never was that spotty as a teenager so I had no clue what to do, and my skin is quite sensitive so any of the acne destroying face-washes usually just ended up making it worse. I use cetaphil twice a day in combination with a rosewater and witch hazel toner -$10 a bottle from the pharmacy and honestly the combination works better for me then a lot of high end products. My skin is completely clear and smooth now.
Tips: A lot of supermarkets sell this product now so you don't even have to make a special trip to the pharmacy or anything to buy it!
This cleanser didn't seem to work on me. I found that my acne and redness didn't disappear and that it would dry out my skin really bad. After using it for about 1 month i stopped using it because i was not getting any good results. I heard from word of mouth and youtube that Cetaphyl was really good in getting your face cleared up but it dint seem to on my skin type which i would say is oily.
This made my skin break out. I have very sensitive skin but it's called 'gentle' so I thought it would be okay! It dried my skin out terribly.
This is by far one of the best cleansers I've ever used! I have very sensitive, quite dry skin so this is an amazing product for me. Its super gentle, but does the job well. Removes makeup and dirt of off my face but does not leave my skin feeling dry or tight like some others do. awesome for breakouts of acne ext.
This is a super gentle clenser and helps minimise acne, i love trying new products especially anything that would minimise my acne, however I myself have quite oily skin and it didn't help me with that issue so I stopped using it. I think it is best suited for people with normal/dry/combination skin rather than oily perhaps, but everyone is different and that is how this product suited me.
I had heard alot of talk about this product and though I would give it a try. I have dehydrated sensitive skin and I also suffer from rosacea around my nose, so this product sounded perfect for me to try!
As it doesn't have any perfumes or scents to it, it didnt aggitate my skin at all and felt gentle and soothing.
If you like cleansers that lather up than this one is not for you, it is almost a milky lotion that gently cleans your skin. I like to use this with my clarisonic after I have removed most of my make up with a wipe.
It doesn't leave your skin feeling tight or dry but leaves it feeling fresh and clean. It also lasts for ages if you get the larger sized bottle and it is quite cheap!
I first tried Cetaphil as a poor student, years ago, and I remember texting everyone to rave about it, to the point where friends were asking if I was being paid to promote the stuff (which I wasn't). A few years down the track, and I'd tried many new things, discovering what worked best for my skin as I age.
Just recently, after investing in a sonic cleansing brush, I needed something basic, with no bells or whistles or beads or anything, to use with it. And something that was easy on the budget too, because that month was tight. I picked up a value pump bottle of cetaphil from Farmers, and rekindled my love affair with this product.
It's very mild and gentle, and leaves the skin smooth and free of residue. It removes sweat, oil and foundation, but not eye makeup (wasn't expecting it to though, use oil for that!) It's great value for money, and not overly scented; in fact it barely smells at all.
Tips: Great with a sonic cleansing brush.
I love this cleanser I use it every single day and have so for a few years now. Was recommended by a friend. Very gentle on the skin and doesn't dry it out. I have normal to oily skin. You can use alone or with water. I've used it with an electric face brush and works well. You can also use it on your body, and can remove light makeup. It doesn't have a fragrance which I think is nice.
Tips: Best tip I can give is to add a small amount of baking soda once the cetaphil is in your hand, this acts as a gentle exfoliant.
I love this cleanser. It does not dry my skin, and it is a fantastic price. I bought mine a couple of years ago (I got the big 500ml bottle) and it is still going. I have had no breakouts from it and supplement with a scrub every couple of days.
