Cetaphil has been my go to skin cleanser for years. I love this cleanser, it is truly gentle on my skin. I have dealt with acne, oily skin, and even dry skin and through it all, Cetaphil gentle cleanser has been there to see me through! It gets the job done; removes oil and makeup, and never leaves my skin feeling tight and dry! As some gentle cleansers can still leave make-up behind or do not thoroughly clean your skin. However, Cetaphil gentle cleanser does it all! All in all, I love this cleanser and have had great success with it for years!

Tips: I like to wash my face twice to make sure I have removed all traces of makeup. As the cleanser is so gentle, this ensures a thorough wash without drying skin out.
I started using this product a few years ago and found it to be very gentle and soft on my sensitive skin. As a 13-14 using this product (a few years ago now) I was impressive by the cleanser and it did remove my light coverage makeup and cleanse my pore preventing breakouts. I enjoyed that the product was true to its name in being gentle and left my skin soft to touch.
The pump bottle is pretty easy to use but makes it a bit annoying to try and travel with! Regardless of that I have recommended to friends.
Tips: Definitely a good starting point if you have sensitive skin and want to try a gentle cleanser.
I have dry acne prone sensitive skin and this cleanser is great for when my skin is getting dry from using harsh products to try clear my breakouts. It leaves my skin soft, silky and moisturized. I do find that it isn't the best to remove light makeup as it says on the bottle though. A little goes a long way and it also can be used on wet or dry skin which I guess is a bonus.
Tips: Remove your makeup before hand if it's not completely removing it before cleansing. It is super gentle so if you have really oily skin I wouldn't recommend. I also use the Skin Spa spin for perfect skin cleansing brush with this cleanser and find that it works well.
I've tried this with the gentle skin lotion and really enjoy it. I can use it for the whole body and it doesn't feel stripped. Because it's super gentle, if you have more stubborn face makeup or need a bit more cleansing, you may want to add in something else. It's a nice smooth texture and doesn't have annoying fragrances which is an added bonus.
I've been using cetaphil gentle skin cleanser for years now and it works so well! I have quite sensitive and dry skin and my skin loves it - I often get compliments on my skin, and I always recommend cetaphil.
It's really affordable but does the job just as well, if not better, than more expensive cleansers.
It doesn't have a strong smell which is another plus for me.
It's not the best at removing makeup so I usually will remove it before hand, but I don't mind doing that.
I began using Cetaphil as a teen and as an adult I kind of tested the waters with alternatives, but found Cetaphil to still be one of my all time faves.
It's great for sensitive skin, as you would expect considering the name. It has no scent, so awesome for people who are too fond of strong floral scent of most cleansers. For me particularly, I prefer the oily/acne prone cleanser, but this one also does the job just as well I feel. It does feel a little slimy, but using a flannel before rinsing your face will fix that problem. You also get your money's worth too - the size your receive for the amount you pay is pretty decent and most chemists have this and the moisturiser on special quite often. It also helps that this lasts long, you only need to purchase a new on every 2nd month or so, so money wise a decent investment.
I'm also a big fan of the pump! This makes life so much easier when cleansing, especially for lazy folk like me who can't be bothered with opening/closing caps.
Tips: I like to cleanse my face twice, particularly if I've worn make up to make sure all remnants are gone. I also use a flannel to make sure it's super clean and get rid of residual cleanser before rinsing my face to get rid of any potential slimy feeling.
I have recently returned to using Cetaphil cleanser and moisturiser consistently. I was hoping it would help my skin as it just seemed to keep worsening.
At 24 years old I thought I would be past the acne days, but unfortunately, there is no such thing! However, I have been using the Cetaphil cleanser and moisturiser morning and night since the start of the year and my skin has been consistently much better and continually improving ever since. My skin feels softer, has lost it's red/inflamed appearance and I'm hardly getting any new pimples if any! I'm relieved that I've found a product that actually helps my skin and doesn't cost a fortune.
A couple of years ago I tried another brand that was heavily marketed and it made my skin the worst it had ever been! It just goes to show the best products may be the ones that don't have the prettiest packaging, marketed the most, or the 'newest.'
If you feel like you just don't know what to do with your skin do this: Use cetaphil gentle cleanser in the morning followed by Cetaphil face moisturiser. At night remove your make up with gentle face wipes (I just use Pams or whatever is cheapest) before cleansing and moisturising.
Tips: Always remove make up with make up remover wipe before cleansing
I used to use Cetaphil as my makeup removing cleanser all the time several years ago. I found it very gentle and very good at removing makeup. However, then I became more aware of parabens and the benefits of products that don't contain these and I started to do a bit of research. I think there are better products out there, my favourite being the DermaLab brand (also NZ made!). So while I think that cetaphil is good at cleansing gently, I think that it has been surpassed by other products.
I absolutely LOVE Cetaphil's products, and this cleanser is no exception! I bought the 500ml bottle from my local pharmacy, which cost me $21.95. I think that this cleanser is worth the price, as I've had the bottle for nearly a year and it's only just halfway through. The bottle says that it can be used with or without water, but I have never tried using it without water. I use this cleanser before using toner and moisturiser, and it helps leave my skin silky and soft.
Tips: I would recommend this product if you have dry or sensitive skin, because it is very moisturising without causing irritation.
This stuff does the job well, it gets rid of makeup, oil, dirt etc. I really can only give it one fault, and that's the smell! It's rather clinical. Other than that, this is a huge product which lasts for ages, easy to store and travel with. White creamy consistency which I have found you can use wet or dry for the face and it works well. Does tend to dry skin out a bit, but I like this as my skin has been oily of late.
Tips: When the pump applicator suggests there is no product left, open the screw top and put a put of water in and shake. Once this has run out the bottle can be cut open and a lot of product is often left.
