I used this cleanser in the oily skin formula as I was recommended it for treating acne. I feel that it did somewhat improve my blemishes, but not to an amazing extent. This product claims to remove light make up however it didn't remove make up thoroughly so I was having to use a cleansing oil, a cleanser for removing an residue make up and then the Cetaphil. The product itself smelt like chemicals and did feel relaxing or fresh to apply. I simply felt like an acne treatment. After reading the ingredients list I have now switched to more natural based skincare that has improved my skin in the short term and long term. The Cetaphil cleanser is not a bad product, there are simply better alternatives.

Tips: Remove your make up prior to using Cetaphil.
When I used this product, I felt like it didn't do much. I felt like it wasn't really cleaning my face. I would use a make-up remover and then wash my face with this and then use a make-up wipe afterwards and make-up residue would still come off! Eeek. I would recommend this if your skin is super sensitive and you wear minimal make-up. This would even be great for someone young just starting out with a skin care regime as it's really good size for the money you pay for it and it's really gentle on the skin.
A bottle of this lasts me 6+ months and I wash my face at least once a day so its great value for money. I use this to remove my make up before using my more expensive cleansers and it leaves my (oily) skin feeling make up free.
Tips: Use as a pre-cleanse before more expensive cleansers!
I seem to be one of the very few people who don't like this product. I had heard rave reviews and gave it a go. It left my face feeling like it hadn't been cleansed properly. I felt as if my makeup was still there even after using makeup wipes. Overall this face wash was not one I would repurchase. I disliked it so much that I gave it away.
Cetaphil cleanser is great for sensitive skin. Its not very effective at taking off all my makeup. I have to thoroughly take it off before cleansing. It doesn't dry out skin at all and I can imagine this being good for someone with dry and sensitive skin! but I dont really reach for it that often. I prefer a heavy duty cleanser to this.
This is such a great product for sensitive skin. I used this when I went through a phase of dry patches and my skin was was really sensitive to anything too heavily fragranced. It helped it get it back to normal. I agree with some of the other comments that it isn't the greatest for makeup removal, but if you are after a gentle cleanser to wash your face with after a makeup remover then I definitely suggest trying this.
This cleanser is awesome! I love the price for the amount you get and how gentle it is. I would prefer if it got make up off abit better but that's not what it is marketed at and it does state it only removes "light" makeup, so I can't really complain!
I have never had a problem with it stinging my eyes or breaking me out, which I have found with other cleansers (even the "acne clearing" ones have broken me out before, what?!?!) I also love that it doesn't really have much of a scent, it just smells fresh!
The only slight issue I have is it squirts out of the pump and misses my hand sometimes, but that could totally be my fault, not the fault of the pump, haha! Even so it doesn't effect the product so that's fine with me.
This used to be my go to cleanser, but after a while as my skin got more sensitive, this stopped doing the trick. Then I started hearing that it was really just as bad for your skin as anything else. I have found other really natural cleansers that feel much gentler on my skin.
This product was recommended to me by my dermatologist and ever since then I have not stopped using it. It is a nice and gentle cleanser that definitely helps to clear my skin and leave it feeling fresh and healthy.
In my experience, this product can be used for anybody of any age with any skin type - both my brother and I use it. It doesn't irritate my eyes or my skin and I love that it is not scented.
The only negative thing I can say about this product, is that it is not the best at removing make up (even light). However, that can easily be fixed with make up wipes! Overall, I have found that Cetaphil is great value for money and I would definitely recommend it to people with sensitive skin!
Tips: Use on dry unwashed face and then rinse off - I find it much more helpful that way! After cleansing, use Cetaphil moisturiser.
I used this for my baby as he had extremely sensitive skin and this was great. It didn't dry out his skin any more and it helped to clear his ecxma up too
Tips: add it to your bath while the tap is still running
