I’m obsessed with lightweight moisturisers as my skin is quite oily and they tend to work better on my skin. Against the advice of the woman at the Clarins counter who apparently thought I was too old to be using this product, I bought this and was surprised not only by the price (considering it’s Clarins) but by the effect it’s had on my skin. It isn’t a gel texture by any means but it does feel very light on the skin and absorbs instantly. I didn’t really notice any brightening benefits but I do use different primers daily so that could affect the brightness factor. This gives my pores a slight blurred look (I don’t know if it’s supposed to) and my makeup looks amazing all day long regardless of which primer I’m using. It’s has a slight fruity scent but it’s not overwhelming. The jar is glass which some people won’t like but I prefer as they’re easier to recycle. Clarins make some beautiful products and it continues to be one of my favourite brands but they are very pricey so it’s great to know I can purchase an everyday one for less than the standard $100-$150, which is what most of them are priced at.

I am in two minds about this product. On one hand it manages to be both a thick and light moisturiser that really suits my skin. On the other hand, while the smell is pleasant, it also reminds me of an old ladies face cream slightly.
As a cream it is just right, thick, absorbs quickly and leaves the skin moisturised without feeling oily. When I first put it on it also really does feel like it is waking up my skin. The lady at the pharmacy described it as a combination of natural ingredients and technology, so perhaps this is the technology at work. But for all the things that are right with it, something about the scent, even though it is subtle, just doesn't sit right with me.
I also don't particularly like that it comes in a jar because this means I need an applicator or it ends up under my nails.
So all in all I am a little undecided.
Tips: Use with the toner for the most energizing effect
