On receiving the product I was surprised at the simpleness of the white box design but with pretty gold writing. Presentation was not bad at all.
The huge pinkish tablets were blistered packed and easy to carry around or while travelling. They pretty easy to access and although these big tablets are pretty hard to swallow it was not a bad experience after all. As per all vitamins the do have the know after taste and the "marine" smell and taste.
I have been trailing this product for the last few weeks and have found it very beneficial - I have seen a noticeable reduction in some of my wrinkles an definite smoothness in my skin and it look much more hydrated.
I also found that my nails are in a better condition since I have been taking these capsules. I did read some remarks that it might help in reducing dark spots unfortunately I have not been lucky enough to have mine disappear.
I will probably carry on using the product after as I found that my skin has improved quite a lot and fine wrinkles appear to be less.
I was very lucky and excited to get a spot on the BR trial team for this product. I am an avid user of supplements, and always in the market to try something new! I have read a lot about Astaxanthin recently – it is lauded as the most powerful natural antioxidant on the planet, so I had already been looking at supplements that contain it.
The supplements come in a white cardboard box with branding on the outside, including a red apple, giving it a healthy feel. The capsules themselves are in tinfoil trays of 10, individually packed. There are 60 capsules to a packet, and the packet costs $59.90.
They’re what I consider normal size for capsules, and have a kind of rubbery feel to them, that makes them easy to swallow. The directions on the box say to take 2 capsules per day for 8 weeks, thereafter reduce to 1 capsule daily. It didn’t say how/when to take them, so I looked on the Clinician’s website, where it said to take them with fats or just before meals. I had intended to stop taking all other supplements while I trialled this one, but after reading the instructions, continued to take fish oil and EPO, and took them all together as recommended. After couple of days, I changed from taking them in the morning to taking them at night, based on the assumption that they will work better while I sleep.
After taking 20 of the tablets (10 days) I fancied I could already see an improvement in my nails – they were just a little harder (they’re usually soft and peel/break easily).
At the end of the box I could definitely notice a difference, particularly in my nails (less soft, shinier, and healthier) and hair (slightly less hair fall, more full and feeling soft and healthy). My skin feels a little plumper and softer, plus less dry. Further to this, I notice I am enjoying a more relaxed sleep most nights, and waking up most days feeling more alert.
I’d like to keep using these and will very likely purchase more. Healthpost have them currently for $36.90 – not to be sneezed at for a very good product.
Tips: Take them with EPO or fish oil supplements as recommended. Take them in the evening (around tea time) to allow them to relax you and work while you sleep.
