I'm not a big fan of this toner as I don't like toners that feel like you're dousing yourself in alcohol and this does for me. It has quite a strong alcohol scent and seemed to dry my skin out even more. I also found my skin was quite sensitive as it stung a bit around the nose and eye area. I prefer more gentle and natural toners so won't be purchasing this again but will finish the bottle by using when I feel my skin is getting rather oily or I get break outs.

I had this as part of a 3 step system. If you are wanting to try this use the testers first or gwp if you happen to get a sample of this. The girls at the Clinique counter are pretty helpful and will set you on your way trying it also.
I unfortunately brought a set that probably wasn’t best tailored to my skin. There are different versions and combinations of the 3 step system so make sure you get the right one for your skin type.
My toner was very drying on my skin. It felt amazing to use and like it really cleaned my skin. Cleaning, cooling and tingling as it’s used. But my skin was very tight and dry after using. I have sensitive skin so I think that was another reason why this didn’t work for me.. I found it quite scented and a bit stingy on certain areas. My eyes would water when using and a few patches on my skin would go quite red and sting also.
Another sting is the price you pay in the pocket. It is quite expensive. All I can say is try before you buy so you can make sure it’s the right system for your skin.
Tips: Try before you buy and wait for a gift with purchase to make it more worth your while.
I love this stuff, I feel like it actually helps clear my skin up and I was using it religiously until I went down the rabbit hole of youtube videos on skincare, specifically Clinique, and was advised how bad this toner/clarifying lotion is, so I am cautious now however if someone could please advise to me if this is actually true? Will it strip my skin?
I had been using this toner as a part of my daily skincare regime for quite some time until I realised how high of an alcohol content it has. I've since stopped using it completely and haven't really noticed any difference so personally think it might not be worth the price tag. I still have most of a bottle left and I don't want to waste it so I'll finish the current bottle and not repurchase.
Tips: Hold a cotton pad against the opening and flip the bottle (quickly) upside-down. Repeat once more on the pad and this quantity is plenty for the entire face.
I've been using this Clarifying lotion for a while now and am really liking it. At $29.90 a bottle I was hoping it was going to be good, but when you incorporate the size of the product in comparison to others on the market it's not that much more and a little does go a long way. I use this on a cotton pad after I wash my face to get any last little bits off and really like how it leaves my skin. This does have quite a strong smell to it that I really disliked at first but after a while you don't notice it so much, plus the end result is worth it. I expect that I will be buying this again in the future
Ive always liked Clinique products, and this one is no exception. Not overly smelly which is a bonus, and leaves your skin with a nice "zing", . I do however find that although it is for dry/combination skin, my skin can still feel dry after using it, even when used in combination with the rest of the three step products.
I like this toner.. I over uae it so i run out of it quite fast.. It seems as it i prevents and takes away blackheads it removes al the extra dirf that may have hide.
The good thing aboit clinique is that you can mox amd match as the producks work with you skin. Its a lovelu brand
I love this toner. It feels so refreshing on the skin. The problem that I have is that it is often the first thing to leave my beauty regime if I am pushed for time. I do notice that when I use it my moisturiser or serum are better absorbed into my skin and it also helps to remove the dead and dull skin. It is an excellent product if you remember to actually use it!
I love Clinique skincare and makeup. I have been using this for years, as well as the dramatically different moisturising lotion. The three step skincare is such a classic.
My skin tends to be dry in some places, yet normal in others- so clarifying lotion 2 is perfect for me.
After cleansing my face I then use this lotion on a cotton pad and gently swipe this over my face. It removes the excess makeup that my cleanser doesn't quite get.
The lotion has the consistency of water, I find that a little goes a long way. The smell can be a little strong, but its something I've definitely got used to!
I find using this does sweep away the old, dead skin. My moisturiser then skins in well and helps my makeup look better as well, by evening out my skin tone.
I will continue to repurchase this, it's such a great product.
I started using clinique and find that if I use it every day sometimes my skin is great and other times not good, it seems to go through stages. However I like this product it feels tingly on your skin which is good as it's getting the skin off. As my skin is quite sensitive it is sometimes a little stingy.
Tips: Would recommend but make sure youve tried it out in store before buying
