I really like this foundation for every day at work wear. I have pigmentation on my cheeks and forehead so I really love that this foundation has ingredients in it that help to fade the pigmentation as well as conceal it.
It's a wonderful 3 in 1 product (foundation, pigmentation treatment and SPF 15 sun protection). I'm time poor in the mornings so am always a fan of multi-tasking products.
It gives a nice medium coverage and makes my skin look healthy and sort of dewy (but not shiny). I prefer having good coverage because of my pigmentation but I really don't like looking like I'm wearing a mask of foundation and this foundation still lets my skin show through so it's not at all mask-like (unless, of course, you apply a lot).I do wear it with a Clinique cc cream (some days) and a setting powder (every day) and sure, it doesn't stay perfect all day but I'm working on finding a new powder to help with this, because I do really love the way this looks when I first apply it. I did find it lasted longer when I used it with my Dr Hauschka setting powder as opposed to my Revlon one, and I wonder if it would last even longer with a Clinique setting powder.
I love the squeeze tube bottle, which is very hygienic and easy to get out of the bottle. The size of the bottle makes it a breeze to travel with, and I think it would probably last 5 months comfortably. Id buy this again.
I was walking past the Clinique counter when they had a big thing on for people to get colour matched and find their perfect foundation- I of course want perfect foundation so I hopped on the chair and the assistant went to work. I was matched with Even Better in #2. It looked great in the beautifully lit counter area and at the very reasonable price of $45 why not just buy it? Big mistake- bit entirely Cliniques fault - I should have sampled and always will first from now on. I have it a good week of trial but the colour is just not right for me. The texture of the foundation is really good- light weight but with decent, buildable coverage which I like for day wear because I like a fuller coverage foundation with a really natural finish. I really wanted it to work for me. I have since been back to a different Clinique counter and had myself and my daughter colour matched (and got samples this time) but it still wasn't the right colour- for either of us - I think we must have a hereditary skin colour that is not in the Clinique range- is that possible? I feel bad because I really like Clinique - so I bought a lippy and an eyeliner just to show my support for the brand- no hard feelings etc etc.
Tips: Get a sample and try it at home for yourself. And closely inspect in the rear vision mirror- it seems to show every flaw in magnified detail!
