The best time to buy Clinique is at bonus time, so you get extra products with your purchase, and that was how I got this.
This is step one in the Clinique 3 step system. It is a clear liquid that has the same consistency as flowing hand soap. You can still get the bars of soap that hasn't changed. The soap is mild and does not cause tightening of the skin even if I have done a double cleanse with it. I find it works well with fingers, manual brushes, konjac sponge, all options lead to foam and comes off with a flannel. There is no exfoliant in this, you will need an extra scrub or peel if you want, this is just a basic cleanser and it does that job well. There is no scent in this that I noticed.
This is a yes for the buy again it is more expensive than other cleaners out there but it knows it's job and it does it well, so it would be a bonus time purchase. The price of this if you are buying the kit form or the regular individual sizes are still the same as what I used to pay for it in the 90's, so it is nice that Clinique has kept that the same price.
I have been using Clinique skincare for a few years now but up until recent months I have always had oily acne-prone skin. Recently my skin type changed to be much more dry so when this happened I decided to give their mild liquid facial soap a go. I had received a 50ml squeeze tube as a gift with purchase which was designed for dry combination skin.
The product is a clear, mildyly-scented gel formula which lathers easily with only a small amount of product so i can see it lasting awhile. I've been using this for a few weeks now and it's been very effective at cleansing my skin without leaving it overly dry or irritated, even when I was suffering peeling skin from a dreaded cold! I haven't experienced any breakouts from it either which I was concerned about with my acne-prone skin, so this seems to be a very versatile cleanser that would suit most skin types.
Would I purchase again? Not unless it was on special, it is a fantastic, high-quality product but it does have that high-quality price-tag associated with Clinique and I found this cleanser wasn't too different from more affordable alternatives for mild cleansers like Cetaphil to justify spending additional on it. For those who are happy to though it is a great cleanser and you're sure to be happy with it.
Tips: This is a great cleanser if you're wanting something simple to put into your skincare regime, especially if you use medicated skincare.
